Viper Room - Nov 25 2009

So not only did JK crush it at the recent LAYN ROCKS benefit with Slash & Friends; they came immediately off the back of that and killed it again at the Viper Room. I've heard tell it was one of their best.

Any reviews and/or pics would be appreciated :)

Sorry to keep you guys waiting. JK's performance at the Viper was incredible. They played My Baby, December, Save me, Canvas Satellite and TIA. There might be one song I missed.

We actually ran into Tommy while walking to the Viper. Then we saw Todd just outside the venue. We said our hellos. We got in the venue and as we were walking up the stairs, down came Toby. Practically ran into him, literally. He gave me a hug and we went on ahead to the stage area.

The band before JK was still playing. They weren't too bad. The singer reminded me of Shakira and Tori Amos all rolled into one. We had a really good turnout considering it was the eve of Thanksgiving. Most families usually travel, so I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome.

After JK performed, I went about giving out JK cards and collecting email address's. Most of the people already knew JK, but there were a few that was new. As I was giving out cards, Toby came up and thanked me for handing out cards and getting emails. He was concerned about how his voice sounded. I told him that he was fine. Didn't notice anything different. Jodie agreed with me and I imagine she told Toby too. We hung around for the last act. The guys couldn't hang out afterwards since they were meeting some important peeps. So we said our goodbyes and wished them a great Thanksgiving.

I was sad saying goodbye to Toby, because I fear that was the last performance I go to until next year. Toby's so nice. He promised that we'd see each other before leaving for Oz.

That's about it. Sorry for the short review. I will be downloading some pics sometime soon. I've got to use my other compurter for that and hubby is using it at the moment. We also took vids. I think we got each song video taped.

I am just wondering who will be looking after "Chewy" when the boys come home for Christmas? He is just sooo Cute and I worry what he may eat when they are away (but then again, It is a worry what he eats when the boys ARE with him :) )

I would be happy to take Chewy for a few months with my 2 doggies, they'd have a blast so Chew Chew has a place with a yard in San Diego if he needs one!

And Nikki, your so nice to thank us gals, I wish I got to go to more shows truthfully, Southern California is a big place and its hard for me to get up to LA as much as I'd like, but I try my best! :)

We will be relying on you gals to keep up informed and, please, please post pics! Something I lack at because I get too shy to take them or I just want to rock out lol.

I know what you mean Kellee. I can't make it to some gigs in Melb/Victoria that are only an hours drive away. Sometimes it is too hard with work and kids etc. And flying intersate in not really an option for me either.

Hubby and I will be there, but we can't stay too long afterwards. Hubby has to be up at 4:30 am the next morning.

I never took notice of the inns over there. Wish I could be of help.

Nothing is too cheap up there but I just sent you a message at Facebook about hooking up for this show and hotel info. I am planning on going but it will be a last minute thing as to whether its me and hubby or just me so can be a girls night out --and if so you can share a room with me.

Still planning, funds are low but I am trying hard to make this show happen! I will keep ya posted for sure. I cant not see the boys before they head home right? lol

Lets def. hook up. We can carpool if you want, and sharing a room would be awsome... I know what you mean about the funds beging tight, christmas on the way and all. So if you want to save money on a train and ride with me and my girl Alica....you can. If hubby doesnt go, we can split room 3 ways.
