Okay big show tonight.. can't wait to hear reviews.. If new songs are played definately want to hear details.. and of course all the faves too!

Hey everyone,
Hubby and I got there early to have dinner. Two other bands played before Juke. The first band was good, but the second sucked. The boys finally got on stage. They played great, as usual. I met Jenn and Kellee at the dance floor. Jenn was full of energy!! She was asked to go on stage by Toby on the last song. She was ecstatic!!! Kellee and I just absorbed every bit of beat, note, pitch, etc of each song. It was great. I can never have enough of them. Everytime I see them feels like it's the first time I'm seeing them. It just seems so magical. Hubby took videos, once I figure out how to send it to Addy, I will send a copy. After their show, they came out, except for Todd, to watch Lukas's show. We only took a couple of pics, since hubby had to be up early for work, we couldn't stay and hang out. We just pretty much said hi and bye. I was sad that we had to go, it would have been a great night to hang out with the boys. That might have been the last show I go to before they go back to Oz for the holidays. Can't afford the benefit show with Slash, Ozzie, etc. So I was feeling very sad on the way home. I hope that they get to do a few other small shows.....

Anna thanks for the update, I'm sure you'll get to see them again before they leave but I know how you must have felt leaving last night. Milano's is still a very poignant memory for me on many levels.

Hellooooooo ladies..... I had the best time last night. I made a complete ass out of myself....but you better believe I was havin fun.
Got there really early (to get a good seat) and had some drinks. Saw Anna right away, said hi to her. She is so cute. First band was really cool, second one not so good. thrid one RIDIC .....JUKE KARTEL....lol I dont know what happens to me,.. but when that music starts.....it just takes OVER!!! ok there was not a whole lot of people on the dance floor, seemed like only 15. I think I was the only only one jumping up and down going nuts the whole night lol (regreting it now)_...they are insane. Like Anna said....I can never get enough, Its like the first time every time. Something about their music...just takes over me. It comsumes my body and I lose all control. HAHAHAHA
Anyway, as soon as they finished we went looking for music for sale (Toby said there would be some) and couldnt find it then went back to stage where lucas was setting up and looked for the juke boys. couldnt see them so decided to leave. I was so bummed I missed saying "hi "to them, but glad, because i felt like such an ass. I didnt even know they came out till I saw annas pics today.
OH i met Kellee for the first time. LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kellee, you and Anna are my new JUKE partners.
I am stil not right.
Man I wish all of you girls were there with me.

Thanks. I got lucky, my hubby actually loves JK almost as much as I do. We've been to every JK show since the beginning of their US/Canada tour. We've only missed 1 show throughout the years. I'm afraid that we'll miss the benefit with Ozzie and Slash though. Not enough $$ to go, especially so close to the holidays.
The next holiday is the last thursday of November....Thanksgiving. The pilgrims from England started the holiday to give thanks for their harvest. We have Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, corn on the cob, apple pie, etc.....you may call it pigfest. :) Do you guys celebrate a holiday in November??? Would love to know about it.

jumping around like a fool, spilling beer then slipping in it and falling on your ass. While your pants keep sliding down with you undiees showing, making a comple spectacle of your self. Going on stage and not knowing what the hell to do, couldnt even remember the words to sing...almost falling into the drums. HOLY SHIT!!! I was sloppy MESS
I honestly dont know if I can show my face at another JK show....
One good thing did come out of it. I have created two new JK fans out of my brother and sister-n-law!!!

I thought there was going to be music for sale at this show, I was going to pick up some extras for anyone who couldnt get there to get one. but....I never did see a merch table for juke. Only Lukas.

I 2nd that Jenn. I'd rather go there but I would so love to see all the Oz girls over here! Somehow I think they can really show us how to party and knock a few back hee hee. And I must meet the lovely Addy someday!
Jenn it was great to meet you @ the show. You were a friggin star girl! You were everywhere and so enthused and so funny on stage, what a riot! now I know your up for JK shows with me if I need a co-jukette for the evening, I am dragging you along.
Thank goodness you and Anna were there. Anna--thanks for letting me hang and all that. I was there by myself and knew only 2 people (Anna, Jenn) and it was a wierd one!
It was the oddest gig too. Huge cavernous venue too big for the crowd but Juke played like they were playing to 200,000 people, not like they were playing to 100. They always sound amazing.
Highlights: semi-acoustic Then She Said. Jay came out and played these paintbrush stick things on drums. Toby played bongos in a song, cant remember which one, am checking vids for that. Seeing Jenn up on stage--entertaining for sure. Loved it all. It was short and sweet. They couldnt squeeze in WGD I guess because I didnt hear it. It was over too quick in a blur.
Kinda sad now I saw Anna's pics w/ the guys. I didnt even see them. I hung for 3 of Lukas songs before I left feeling like a wanker for hanging there all by myself hoping to see the guys so I left.
I probably wont see them before they head home. I had planned to buy new ep's but they didnt have them. Jenn and I asked around about it a few times too. I am bumming about them heading home soon but I hope they will be back with new songs, new ep's for sale and new memories from home.
Sorry no pics from me --I have vids--if they are any good you will see them out there like the CS vid. But Anna and Jenn--thanks for the reviews, you said it better than I did for sure. :)

We have 'Australia Day' on Jan 26th... most celebrate by getting pissed and a with a 'barbie' (BBQ) :gigg: well it is Summer and any excuse will do!
And we celebrate the Queens Birthday still with a public holiday, but that is in June (Winter) and basically no one sings happy b'day to Queen Liz, we just all enjoy a day off work!

Mis-communication....no JK show at the Key Club...they're just attending a show there with Steel Panthers.

Due to reason of advertising conflicts JK can only say they're playing at the Viper Room.
BUT I hear the show at the Key Club tonight is going to be very special....please disregard my earlier post....that's all I can say and I hope some hear it in enough time.
Tonight's show was beyond awesome. Had a great time. I can't believe we made it. When they said they weren't playing, we decided to save some money for their next gig, so we hadn't planned on going at all. Thank God I got Addy's post on facebook. If it wasn't for her, we would not have known about the show at all. I barely had enough time to shower, get dressed and stop at the store for an 8 GB memory card so that we could video the performance.
We got there and ran into Todd on the street as we were walking towards the venue. There was a good amount of people by the time JK came on. They played awesome!! I think that they fine tuned Canvas Satellite. It sounds more solid.
After the show, the place got really packed for Steel Panther. I wasn't expecting what transpired at their show. I just thought they were going to sing '80's music the way it was meant to be sung. I had no idea that it was pretty much a spoof of '80's bands. And there was a lot of naked boobs everywhere. I guess I'm a prude, because I didn't enjoy it at all. I guess I don't have that type of sense of humor. I was also getting tired and there was no where to sit down, so we met up with Todd, Toby and Dale and said hi and bye. Totally forgot to take pics, so I'm sorry to disappoint you girls. Hopefully the video will come out and you can see their performance.

Yes Violet Crumble.. Yum! Chocolate coated Honeycomb ! There is also something similar called a Crunchie. The honeycomb is softer and melts in your mouth!

Yes Violet Crumble.. Yum! Chocolate coated Honeycomb ! There is also something similar called a Crunchie. The honeycomb is softer and melts in your mouth!
Mmmmmm....that sounds good. I don't think we have that here. I'll have to check out some candy stores to see if they carry it. URRU

I was at my Local "Milk Bar".... has been known as this for ever... like a corner store that sells the things you need.. Milk.. Pepsi, Magazines, Newspapers, chips, ciggarettes and CHOCOLATE!
I found myself looking for a Violet Crumble...I could NOT find one. I Will look wwhen I am at the supermarket tomorrow!

Off subject for the thread but on topic for the last few posts lol They started selling Tim Tams here!!! They say "Australia's favorite cookie!" on the box! :)

Yes, they now make them in Dark Chocolate (but I don't like dark choc) and they would prob be Aust favourite "Bickie" short for Biscuit,as we have to shorten EVERY word! :gigg:
I have noticed that you DO shorten every word. LOL I learned Eskie from Todd, which to us is either ice chest or cooler. :)

I think it's says cookie on the box and yes they do have milk or dark chocolate

It says "cookie"? The ones you get must be made for export to The USA. Think we even have Triple Choc ones too, But I just Like the good old original Milk Chocolate ones. I tell you what, some of the Supermarket Chains make a mighty fine "Generic" one!

Yeah, 'Eskie' that is really a Brand name for a Cooler, but we call all coolers an "Eskie"... "don't forget to get Ice for the Eskie, mate!".
But yeah, we shorten names... Like 'Servo".. Service Station (or Petrol Station) and also have a habbit of adding "O" to the end on mens names.... JohnO or DavO!
