Big couple of days for us!!

Slash just announced that we will opening up for his put together band on NOV22nd for a charity benefit....

Artists featuring are: Ozzy, Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, Billy Idol...and more.

It is going to be a rad night and one that is going to really push JK into the limelight!!

Also Oct 17th we will on Beat records show with other artists Carney and Tommy Lee...

I took extra notice Sunday night on Ch 9's '20 to 1" countdown of Australia's Top 20 'Juke Box Countdown' (have to say I was dispointed that the Angels "Am I ever gonna see your face again" was at #20. AND 'Ke Sahn" was beaten by Kenny Rogers "The Gambler"??? But Anyway... I took extra notice of "Slashes" guitar solo in Gun's Roses 'SweetChild of Mine'!!

LOL... My uncle wanted to take me to see G 'n' R when they played at Eastern Creek, but Mum said no. She didn't like the idea of him taking his 11 year old neice to a concert! :(

A good thing she didn't, they were charging $5 for a bottle of water and diamantled the taps on a hot day! People were left stranded in the city when buses from Calder Park got back to the city after the last trains had left!

I also remember my poor white jeans were never ever the same again lol.

Calder is a great venue but it was so poorly run it was a nightmare. GNR's even threatened to not appear on stage unless everyone calmed down but all that did was inflame some.

Kell - you might not have missed it. I tuned in on Monday afternoon (when it was supposed to be on in Chicago according to the show schedule) and it was another Beta Records episode. I'm going to try again this coming Monday to see if it's on then. It doesn't look like they've updated the website in the last few months or so.

I have been around for years and have watched the evolution of a band and to see them on the cusp of something so huge is just amazing.. I feel that this is only one of many more big things to come.. The start of the WORLD finally knowing who JK is..

Oh Kim... what lovely words...Not knowing the background of the LAYN Benefit, I can only go by what Toby has posted on Facebook. I Can say how proud I am of him and the boys and the effort they have made with some of the youth of L.A!!
