Just wanted to extend my love to all you aussie JKer's...we're gonna miss you...It's been great on this tour to spend time with you and get to know you a bit better.
The support is overwhelming and its evident in the amazing pics and footage that has been captured over the years...wow!!! If you scroll thru my FB pics it shows our story in the last 2years....
So, with goodbye, it's not forever, probably only months, but our journey needs us to be in the US where will conquer our goals and fly the aussie flag!!
Thankyou to all the street teamers...incredible efforts in promoting us, and i just hope that we could give enough back...i'm really proud of my boys (JK) as i feel we do open our lives to you all and really let you in...we want to be known as the "PEOPLE'S BAND" and i think that is happening...i think what we have with our fans(friends) is extremely unique and rewarding....
Thankyou to Addy...you have been amazing - love, support, laughs, friendship....i've literally watched you come out of your shell and rock shit....oh, and the graphics are INSANE!!!! love ya, always....
And thankyou to all that read this, you've helped us on our journey, now we'll make you proud...

You are so beautiful, Toby. My inspiration from the beginning for every piece of work I have created. Without you there would be no "me". I like to think we've all grown together, in every aspect. Creatively, for friendship and for living. I'll treasure every precious moment I've spent with you boys and I will forever have your back....of that there is no question.
Goodluck over there...fly that flag for us and we will strive to do what we can from our side of the world....because we adore you.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for helping me "rock my shit" it's been a fucking blast!
Love you...all of you. and I'll miss you so painfully!

Toby it has been a pleasure getting to know all you guys over the last couple of years...
You are all so approachable & easy to talk too , you sure are the PEOPLES BAND , I couldn't imagine you any other way... I agree that what you have with your fans (friends) is very unique ..
I'm glad to hear that your journey OS will not be forever but your right , you need to be there to conquer the next part of your journey.
It has been great being able to be at your gigs & see how much you have accomplished since the first time I saw JK play at Ferntree Gully supporting Noiseworks... Unfortunately due to life that was the first time I was able to see you live..
I personally have met some great people because of you boys & want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my life richer...
I have never shared with you what my life before I discovered you guys but like Adelle I can truly say you have brought much happiness to my life & without you i really don't know where I'd be right now... My best friend i have met because of you & knowing her has improved my life tenfold so again I thank you..
I will be here supporting you guys & doing whatever I can to help you along your journey , I have enjoyed being able to capture moments in your lives with my camera & hope that the opportunity to continue that will present itself again in the not to distant future...
Like Fee said we are extremely proud of you all , take care of yourselves & go conquer the world..

ill come out now with this i have only been a fan of JK since i found out about you guys having another fav band doing a couple of gigs with you guys, so really its only been 8 or so months since i have become a big fan of JK gone to like 3 gigs but the last one on the 18th kinda didnt count well yea sorta cause i had to leave during yea sett which was disappointing.
thankyou to all of you guys for the gigs i made it to, i enjoyed it so much and it was awesome to celerbrate my bday with you guys last friday at the espy, tried telling you guys but either ppl kept coming to you or the music was to load for you to here. i just hope the epsy gig wasnt the last JK gig for me, as long as you guys come back here that would be awesome it would be even better if there was a gig in Albury were i live we need you guys there cause we always have a crazy night when a rock band comes through as we dont get many good bands come through.
i hope your move overseas goes well nuthing bad to happen just dont leave us aussie fans in the dark we all will miss you guys so much no joke
also i so wish i could make it to the other gigs but i cant cause of work and other boring shit that i do eventually get tired of hopefully we`ll see each other again thanks again for sending my bday celerbrations on a high
Good luck and all the best in the US. I've watched you Toby on Rockstar and have rooted for you ever since! (no pun intended) Went to the Rockstar Supernova concert in Melb at the telstra dome in 07 and the JK boys rocked it - better than Rockstar ;)
Don't lose your microphone over there ;)

Hey Toby, Jaybro, Dale, Todd and Tommy, thanks for so many great memories. First time I saw you guys play was at the Nickelback concert. Had never heard of you before since then. I got handed your sample CD outside the arena with Save Me and Firesign which I still have. Since then I was hooked on your unique rock sound. Most of my favorite bands are from the US or other country's and I have never met them in person. I feel quite lucky that I have met my favorite band in person (you guys). See you guys soon!
Good Luck Toby (and boys) Like everyone has said previously, you have made our lives so much richer in various ways.
You should all be so proud of yourselves as being a "people's Band", you truly are. You always take time out to chat to fans, young and Old! (My kids were over the moon to meet you at Gunnamatta and JB).
I could never imagined meeting such a caring, funny and dedicated group of people on a Forum like this, through the love of one Band... Juke Kartel!
Kick arse in The USA and fly that flag high and proud! I truly wish you the success, that you all deserve! Keep safe
See you on the 19th (bring lots of Tissues)

Toby, good luck to you & all the guys in the America.
We are already so proud of you guys, you deserve all the success in the world.
You truly are a peoples band – nothing ever seems to much trouble, even when it is really crazy for you guys after the gigs.
Thank you for all the great memories from all the amazing shows.
Fly that aussie flag high !!

Thank you for you post Toby. You truly are the people's band and I appreciate the time you give to your fans.
There have been so many highlights for me this year but my top 3 are being lucky enough to come to a rehearsal with my wonderful friend Shell (Todd's David Bryan impersonation and Tommy's dog were priceless!), seeing you guys at the Roxy!!! and when you sang with Mikayla in Fed square.
There have been many more occasions when you have been generous of your time too so I want to take this opportunity to thank you.
Personally, this year has been about rediscovering myself after my youngest of 4 kiddies started school. It's so wonderful to finally get time to myself again and your shows have played a big part in that! I can't think of a better way to shed the mummy & wife roles for a little while and just let my hair down and be so totally immersed in the moment. I am grateful for the amount of shows I've been lucky enough to go to :)
As much as I am gonna miss you guys, I am excited about what's to come. I hope your time in America exceeds your expectations. You all deserve that best that life has to offer. Don't worry about making us Aussie's proud as you really have already achieved that as Fee said. Please take care of yourself and have fun!!! Love to you all and can't wait to we see you again! :pheart:
Rosie... I was trying to find the words to express that I feel Like a "Person" again, not just a Mum and Wife. You said it perfectly Rosie! To get out and let our hair down. I feel Like I did 15 years ago! I go to gigs and find so many friendly and familiar faces. I will miss that in the comming months. I know that all us Aussies will still check in here for random chats!
I agree 110% Rosie and Nikki. JK gigs are "me time" and its been an amazing time sharing it with others that understand and do not judge and I know that we'll stay in contact :flirt: Thank you just doesn't seem to cover it but Thank you Toby, Tommy, Dale, Jay and Todd and Thank you the wonderful fans of JK xxxx
I'm going to just repost what I wrote in the Nikki's thread otherwise I'll ramble on and possibly blubber :gigg:
To the JK boys - thank you for giving so much of your time and yourselves to us over these past few months and may the move to LA bring you all your hearts desires and more. I know that you are going to rock the rest of the planets fucking socks off and they are going to adore and be in awe of your talents as we are. Safe travels, best wishes and don't forget us back home. From the very depths of my heart thank you xxx
One thing I did forget to add was I hope you take the time to enjoy the ride along the way and perhaps from time to time pop on the forum to say g'day to us.
And on a personal note I would just like to say that the men of Juke Kartel have added a new colour to the rainbow that is my life and its going to be a dimmer place without you.
ok enough from me :sob:

I really have to stop opening this thread.... I cry every time I open it:sob:
OMG..You guys are gonna rock the US which of course is totally awesome except I will be really pissed off when I have to sit in Row ZZ at Acer Arena when you come back...right? You will just have to do a little secret ST gig so we can all fight for the front row, and kiss each other after we tread on each others toes...
Today I checked through my glovebox and found my little Limewire download from '06...
Sunday Nights, Bring Me Down, Long Way and My Baby...I haven't listened for months but put it on for old times sake..Well...I nearly crashed my car! How far you guys have come is absolutely amazing and unbelievable!
Your time is totally now. Go forth and conquer!
Keep it real. Dont forget us.
As for tears...None from me. I fucking waited (let me count...) TWENTY months between the RSSN show and Seether. I can do it again.
Good things come to those who wait.
Meanwhile I have my last 3 JK shows to hit up this weekend.
Thanks for the memories. Go make some bigger ones!
We LOVE you!!!!!!!!!!!!
xxooxx
Everyone has said it all and I will of course add my bit.
Toby:- You are an amazing, talented and beautiful person and I adore you so much. They way you go above and beyond for your friends and fans is incredible. Your voice is just magic and I am so glad you decided to become and singer and share your wonderful gift with the world. Thank you for everything you do.
Tommy:- My reason for falling in love with an incredible band. If it weren't for you filling in for Taxiride, I may not be here and have had the opp to meet some amazingly gorgeous people. I love how sweet and caring you are to everyone. Your bass playing and musicmanship (I know, I made it up but I like it) is second to none. You're just amazing.
Dale:- Such a funny and friendly and thoughtful kind person. I'm so glad I got to spend some time with you in Perth, even for a short while. You made me laugh and your wife is one lucky woman. You always draw me to you when you perform and the U.S is going to be a better place having you in it.
Jaybro:- WOW! An awesome addition to the JK family and you fitted in so well and so quick. The fans love you and your drumming, holy fucksticks! Freaking dynamic. Thank you for being so gorgeous.
Todd:- Don't ever cut your hair! We need Hairflipping Todd always. Thanks for taking the time in the past to be wonderful and for your awesome guitar prowess! Amazing.
So, I'm going to shut up now but in closing, I wish you all every single fucking happiness & success possible for your U.S move. You are going to be missed so much, thats a given, but we all know its for the greater good and I can't wait to see you rock out again, and for the Americans to sit back and go 'whoa, what the fuck was that greatness I just witnessed!!?'
GO forth and conquer, we know you will do us all proud and we'll all be waiting here for you when the assault has been finalised.
Love you all so much. Juke Kartel for fucking ever.
Shaz

Same here Shaz. I know for a fact that I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Tom's "cameo appearence"!
Have a safe trip guys! I wish you all the luck in the world. You're going kick butt - we all know that. The most important thing is that you all enjoy yourselves and make the most of every moment.
Good luck!!
Come back for a visit! :)

I just wanted to say Thank you and Good Luck.
Thank you for being one of the friendliest and most approachable bunch of guys that I have had the absolute pleasure to meet. Thank you for bringing together a wonderful, beautiful and fantastic bunch of people that are the street team. Thru you I have made lifelong friends that I will hold dear to my heart. It was an 18mth wait to finally meet you at the greyhound last year and it was worth the wait. My life has never been the same since I stumbled upon JK and I feel so blessed to have meet you all and listened to the amazing sounds that you create.
Good luck with the trip, your meetings and conquering the US. Success is only a smelly bus ride away guys and I am sure that bus ride will be short and the destination will be incredible. Fly the aussie flag with pride and know that we are all wishing you every success that you deserve.
You shall be missed but we have some fantastic memories to keep us sated until your return.

Oh No Andrea!!!!!! Rosie had 2 spare but she has already sold them!! I'll ask around though. Did you buy a show only ticket just incase??? It is limited numbers for that as well.
hey fee, yep did buy a show tic at least!!!!!
I had to wait on my sister to actually confirm she was coming with me or not..... couldnt get hold of her til last night, and when i went to book them this morning i was an hour too late! Fingers crossed, and thanks for keeping an ear out :)

At least you are going to the show. I'm not going to dinner either, I didn't think I would be home from work, get ready and get there in time! I wish now I was going for dinner. Sounds like a fun night, with all the Girlies dressed to the "nines" :flirt: (so save me a spot Girls)
Wow! Reading through everyones posts has made me very emotional. I have been MIA for a week because I just couldn't come in here to read everyones goodbyes otherwise it would've been official and final :(
You all have such amazing words to write...I don't know if I can write as well as all of you...which is why I don't do reviews. lol. I will say that i agree with all the mum's here...Fee, Rosie, Nikki etc about the whole mum and housewife life and how much our lives have changed. To be able to be a mum and wife at home and then to go out and be me...I had forgotten who I was for a long time. Knowing I could go to a gig without being judged that I'm out yet again. I can't believe how many times I've flown (or driven 9 hours) to another state to, not only see the boys but to see my friends who live in those states...friends I have met and fallen in love with because of this band JUKE KARTEL!
Now to the boys...what an amazing time it's been. I feel like I've been there from the beginning of this crazy journey. Toby, you boys are definitely the people's band and I wish you all the best of luck. Thank you for everything...and I mean everything...there's just too much to say but the one thing I will be thankful for the most are the friendships formed...Old, new...all of them (even you boys)...it doesn't matter how long anyone has been here, we all love being together...even those who have taken different paths and left the forums, I still keep in contact with...something that is trully amazing. The fact that we travel to other states to see you guys and party with each other is one of a kind.
Good luck in the states and fly that Aussie flag high. We are all so proud of you. It is not forever...we will see you again...I will be here to help and support you guys wherever you are.
God I'm so crap at this. lol.
Love you all so much

I dont think there's much else to say, everyone has so beautifully put how much the band means to them and how much success and happiness we wish for them.
They say you can tell a lot about a man by his shoes... I think you can tell a lot about a band by their fans and although the lovely people on this forum make up a small majority of them and I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of you girls/guys yet but the enthusiasm, effort and love that you guys give and put into JK and supporting them is amazing :-*
JK definately is the people's band and they will be missed but will come back bigger and better than ever!
xx

I've been slack on these forums lately, mostly because I've been travelling to & from gigs, rockin' out & being consistently blown away at those gigs & raving about you boys on Facebook so I could include both existing JK fans while attempting to win new ones... - therefore I've only just seen this thread & your post Tobes!
TOBY - In reply to your post...
- It's NOT goodbye! It's "catch ya later!" & the US is definitely a journey that needs to be made!
- Thank YOU for giving us something to promote! With what you boys offer in talent & personality it makes it an honour & a joy to promote Juke Kartel!
- You always give MORE than enough back! It's incredible. Thanx cannot be said enough in that regard, & I personally will never take your time for granted. - Just make sure you leave time for yourselves too! - You & the boys already know how proud I am of you all. - I have full belief that you boys will make me & the rest of your supporters prouder in the coming months & years! - Take care bro.
ADDY - Thanx to you for supporting me too & your help with getting graphics for flyers, etc. to me for this tour. You've put up with many late night messages from me (THANX! & SORRY!) - I've learned a lot in the last few months, including about myself & I'll be better prepared next time round - & my messages, etc. will be streamlined!! It's been a pleasure to get to know you so far! I look forward to what's to come.
FELLOW STREET TEAMERS - Thanx for welcoming me on board so suddenly a few short months ago. I've formed some valuable friendships that I never expected to have at the start of this year & so much of what the JK boys are all about is reflected in so many of you. I have no doubt us Aussies will remain in full support of the boys while they are on the other side of the world. They deserve nothing less!! We've been rocked, entertained, & loved to death. - I reckon we ain't seen nothing yet! The journey's only just begun.... can't wait for the next chapter!:horns:
Just wanted to extend my love to all you aussie JKer's...we're gonna miss you...It's been great on this tour to spend time with you and get to know you a bit better.
The support is overwhelming and its evident in the amazing pics and footage that has been captured over the years...wow!!! If you scroll thru my FB pics it shows our story in the last 2years....

As much as I would LOVE to Kim, somehow I don't think I could go with out him! He has always wanted to go to the USA! So you are going to make it to your First gig Kim? That's Fantastic!

Aww Kim... I am so pleased for you... Finally! Which gig is it? I saw that u were heading home from LA one day before the Roxy (?) gig! Are you staying a day longer? I hope you have plenty of US ST teamers there with you!
I was just going over an old thread... Ferntree Gully (oct 2007) my First JK gig... I found a copy of this flyer in my handbag the next morning. I joined the ST a few days later! (not sure how, as the flyer makes no mention of JKST, as it was at time)

I am going to the Whiskey on the 14th.. I fly into LA on the 13th and then home on the 15th so a short trip but it will be fun.. I know a few gals will be there.. I am staying with Kellee so that will be a blast!
Fares are so cheap to the USA right now. My husband wants to go, but the thought of a 15+ hour flight with 6 and 8 year old boys, would have me packing a Parachute so I could escape!
u think thats bad!!!! 15+ hours with a 4 week old!!! hmmmm now theres a challenge!!!!

I made this purely for JK's myspace page and last minute they wanted flyers for it. I still have a ton of them in a box by my bed haha. We were also giving out postcards with the details, Nikki. Maybe you got the url from those. Ahh memories.
That was one memorable night fo' sho'.

Mine was 25th may 2008. I even have the ticket still on my fridge......
That wasn't my first show....mine was the intimate 8 Track gig. That was so good. We got some one on one with Tobes and the boys that night.
Got my tits out in front of Toby and Tommy at this one! Hee heeee, the Top Swapping event! Bwah! Hey Lana! Do I need to get your photo out...??
Mine was their Today performance in Bourke St Melb early November '06...they signed my Tarko cd :pheart: My official first meet tho was a week earlier on 26th Oct. Wow! Life altering times for me!
Mine was the Today performance as well. That was before I joined the street team. Once I met everyone on the forum, I realised how many of you girls were at that performance. I got Toby and Tommy's autograph in my little autograph book. haha. Oh God the video makes me cringe everytime I think about it...talk about fangirl. lol.
My first JK gig was only last year but OMG it feels like so much longer lol The past 12 months have been filled with JK
May 2008 The Greyhound. I didn't get to meet the guys just saw the show and if I hadn't already been hooked since downloading them from Toby's mention on Rockstar, I was a definite goner from that night on.
I love music and have my faves but have only been completely taken over by a bands music twice. Bon Jovi and Juke Kartel!! It was a little disconcerting when I realised that JK had pushed a side my 20 + years love affair with Bon Jovi with such ease!!! Even Daz was shocked and a little disappointed as he can't tease me about JK coz he loves them as well :gigg:

I remember the Today show appearance. I was so cut that I couldn't get the time off work so I had an early lunch break and watched it in the staff room :)

the time i feel in love with them & became a fan was when they did an acoustic performance before shannon noll at the palace i think it was nov 07, loved the music & then toby & i think tommy were out doing photos & signings in the foyer, i had a chat to toby & a pic & i thought what a nice guy & that was it, i was hooked.
i missed out on going to greyhound with fee, as i was sick.
but then we went to the save me single launch at prince & well the rest is history from there :gigg:

My second gig was 28th April, '06 where they blew Nickelback off the stage. I can still remember it so clearly and thinking my god those guys belong up there. No tricks, no gimmicks, minimal lighting...just raw rock n roll

23rd November If i remember, a Friday. It was the day we left Sydney to go on our Cruise. I was pissed off I couldn't go to the Palais. (I had to wait till Jan 08 for my second gig at Gunnamatta Beach)
my first gig was the rockstar supernova gig at the Brisbane River Stage. It was St.Patty's day bout 2 years ago!! The most rememberable part of the night was going backstage after and having a few drinks with them!!! awwww what a night!!!
I love that video. You guys were so into it

*runs away screaming* NOOOOOOO!!!! I think Adelle was trying to hide behind Papa Rand so the camera wouldn't get her...lol...and I'm there waving into the camera as they pan across :yucky: I get shivers just thinking of it. lol.

Haha I was actually directly at Toby's back during the interview with that mother of a camera lens moving side to side. I had to position myself to Toby's right or left to avoid it LOL
When they were performing I was too focused on JK to realise they had me centre f*cking screen. Kaz and I almost died once we got home and watched the taped footage. Lord almighty! Still in denial haha

I was about to go looking in my "favourites" on youtube for another look!!! Bugger, I love that performance! Like Mands said, I wanted to post it when I mentioned the clip, but feared Adelle would remove it anyway. (I know you Cringed Addy when I asked if it was you in the clip ages ago!)

I had no hand in it's removal, darl. We lost alot of stuff when the site alot of the media was stored at was made obsolete. I would have been saving like mad if I knew that was going to happen.
I must admit it was a darned wonderful performance of JK. It could be at the ch ten site...the Today show....where it originated. Not sad my mug isn't up for all to see tho hehe

Channel 10 Addy? (Today show is Ch 9) It was only a quick glance of you and I watched it a few times b4 I realised it may have been you!
I sadly lost track Of what Toby did after RSSN as I was not on the internet as much as I seem to be these days. I had no Idea even of his bands name. I found out about MYSPACE thru my then 21 year old neice and then I discovered the wonders of "google" and did a search on him mid 2007.
I joined Aust JKST myspace and I am FOREVER grateful for the bulletin I got telling me of the FTG gig, supporting Noiseworks. (20 minutes from my house) The rest is "history" so to speak!
I might add, Jodi (who has been to a few gigs with me) her 12 year old daughter is now a fan! Jodi bought the CD and said Ashley wants it on in the Car ALL the time!

I totally just warmed my heart especially since she is only 5 - totally didn't expect it. :)
My boys (6 and 8) will sometimes say to me "Mum, you look pretty" or "Beautiful" if I get dressed up to go out! It does make you feel all warm inside to hear it. (even if, give them 10 years, I am sure they will have a different idea of what a "a pretty or beautiful" girl is...lol)

I would have loved a daughter, but my boys are affectionate and caring (sometimes...lol) I just hope they will visit me after they shove me in a Nursing home when I am Old!
It is amazing how quickly they grow, It is hard to believe my "baby" started school this year! It is great to hear that you are enjoying being a Mum, Mel! Is he sleeping well?
