Ok I am biased but tonight was something else the place was packed really packed!!!! We had about 500-600 people there tonight. The JK boys had a ball and I personally thought it was a fuckin killer. All of them played so bloody well it was just a great night I look forward to the pics cheers

Toby's brother's band was awesome! Dean Geyer's guest appearance with the band was pretty cool too. There was another neighbors star there tonight but can't remember his name. Definitely the best JK gig I have been to. URRU

Definately was a packed Gersh Room, the vibe and the energy was amazing!!!
The boys played so well, i was getting into it but then i remember this will be the last rock show for a while and it made me sad :(
I saw quite a few of you girls there but didn't get to say hi, i happened to be the person who Greg came over to mid song and ended up looking like a knob as he patted me on the head haha

It Was a FANTASTIC night!! (my ears are still ringing!) It was PACKED. I tried to stay at the back, but it just wasn't working for me. So Michelle and I headed towards the front! (left side and then right side) I only took a few photo's and most were too blurry, so only one pic from me this time!
We left earlier than I had wanted to (2 in our group had to start work at 7am this morning)
It was a suprise to see Anita there! (but I had a suspision last week) Great to See Shaz again after a year. Finally meeting Danny, Crissty and Great to meet you Vix! (sorry Brooka, I didn't see you!)
It was a little Bitter sweet to know this will be the last Melb gig for who know's how long.....
It was a sensational night!!!
Meeting Miss Shazza was a personal high light and the fact she was the bearer of my first, 2nd, 3rd and I think 4th girly kiss made it all the more special :gigg: :whist::wub::blush: love ya Shaz :flirt:
Tim and Simon Rand were terrific with their acoustic set.
Stone Parade were on fire and I personally think it was their best gig with the JK boys that I'd seen this tour and of course there was the suprise of Dean Geyer singing Somebody will miss you with Greg AWESOME!!!!
The curtains were drawn across the stage before the JK boys came on and it certainly built the suspense as the room was packed to the rafters. The crowd errupted when the haunting sounds of the intro began.
The entire set went wizzing passed in a blurrrrr. It was high energy, emotional, insane and just plain rocking all rolled into one.
Poor Tobe's had a bit of tech mishap but it didn't interrupt the show one little bit.
The crowd sang loud and proud when the boys played If Only.
Toby surfed the crowd on Billy's (Stone Parade's drummer) shoulders but needed a little hand from Tim delivering Tobe's back to the stage :gigg:
Jaybro's drum solo was breath taking once again.
Dale's tongue gave the guitar a good working over and Tommy and Todd were just spellbounding to watch as always.
It was a fantastic send off for the boys as the crowd was into it right up to the end even chanting JUKE JUKE JUKE to try and persuade them to come back out.
I've probably left heaps out but I was just so caught up in the moment that I doubt I absorbed it all in.
To the JK boys - thank you for giving so much of your time and yourselves to us over these past few months and may the move to LA bring you all your hearts desires and more. I know that you are going to rock the rest of the planets fucking socks off and they are going to adore and be in awe of your talents as we are. Safe travels, best wishes and don't forget us back home. From the very depths of my heart thank you xxx

It was INSANELY AMAZING! I still haven't come down from the high. There aren't enough words to describe it...phenomenal!
After enduring the terrible traffic going into St. Kilda on a Friday night, I raced through the main bar doors, did a quick "ooh...ahh" at the projection of JK's gig on the wall and then hurried my little butt in, tripping over a step as I went (I was preoccupied and didn't see it...don't judge me!)
The Rand boys (Tim, get ready for an influx of photos) were awesome. It's great to get an acoustic set in amongst all the rock. Went speeding through the crowd as soon as I got there to make sure I didn't miss this one...just perfect.
Stone Parade were incredible. That was definitely the best I've ever seen them perform. They had so much energy and the crowd was loving them...special mention goes to Fee and her awesome vocals...and Shezzie's onstage appearance (I think we all want one of those tops now).
The curtains closed and there was no mistaking the excited energy in the air (despite feeling slightly claustrophobic with all the bodies behind us and no aircon at the front of the stage). But soon enough we heard the first notes of the didgeridoo and the crowd went ballistic! I’ve never in all my countless times seeing the boys perform witnessed anything like it. People were going off! Then the curtains finally opened and the energy was turned up tenfold.
The boys were just indescribable. So powerful and having so much fun. You could tell they were really responding to the crowd and of course we were all going NUTS! It was so great to see the permanent smile which was on Jay’s face as he watched the crowd going wild. Nothing was going to stop this insane ride...
Don’t have a complete setlist but my personal highlights were:
Opening with My Baby: The build up to the boys taking the stage was so intense that the second they started this song it was like everything just exploded. So much energy. So many sing-a-longs. Perfect perfect perfect!
Toby’s taking ‘a walk’: Seeing him scramble onto Billy’s shoulders to travel through the crowd and then start jumping all over what I’m assuming was the bar (I couldn’t see...too many people) during Throw It Away was so great to watch.
On Fire: Gets better and better every show.
If Only: Yes...this is my song...and everyone knows it lol. I got so emotional during it because not only does it mean the world to me (Toby even sang my fave words to me...nawww) but the response it got was just breathtaking. It was beyond words to hear everyone singing along at the top of their lungs to the point where Toby could have just sat down and let the crowd take over.
And of course...all the interstate peeps!: Shazza...my beautiful, humping, phenomenal piece of minxy ass I never want you to go home. Love you love you love you! Anita...what a great surprise to see you there. I think I deafened half the room with my shocked scream when I first saw you. Vic...you are too much fun, I couldn’t get the smile of my face when I was around you. Tracy...I love your energy. You’re so much fun to be around. Danny...you know I love you to pieces so there isn’t much more I can say....
There is soooo much else I could say here but if I keep going I won’t be able to stop. The night was amazing. Special in so many ways. It’s incredible to see how far the boys have come from seeing them in the Tarko days til now. All I can think is the music world won’t know what hit them. They’re going to be unstoppable.
i agree it was the best night ever, i had a chat with Greg from stone parade and he said there were expected to be 500+ ppl there, im still recovering from it and im going out again tonight just as many drinks tho

I missed Simon & Tim unfortunately , didn't finish work till 7 & than had to get home & changed & into St Kilda..
I didn't get to see Stone Parade perform as i was being door bitch so the other girl ( sorry I forget her name ) who is a Stone Parade fan could go watch them..but I did hear them & they sounded amazing..
But it was very entertaining watching the excitement of everyone heading in...
Can't say anything else that Fee & Mands haven't already said about JK....
No highlights for me , I just loved the whole show..
Was fantastic seeing Shaz & Anita so soon again & meeting Vix...Awesome
Finally got to meet Kara too.. gorgeous
Catching up with Danny again was great , sorry I wasn't too talkative by the end of the night , working all day & partying all night takes its toll...I'm getting old...lol
Got to meet Bizo's partner Leah & his mate Chris... really nice people..
Brooka I think i spotted you but it was so crowded I couldn't get near you...Hope you enjoyed your 1st night of your birthday celebrations...
So parking ticket aside..I had a great night
note to self..next time you go to the Espy make sure you got change for the parking meter...lol

I loved it. Had a great night and thought that the band was awesome. My only negative comment would be for the mixing. I wasn't really impressed with the engineer. I think the vocals needed more volume and clarity. That and the fan that was in front of me. Obviously a very dedicated JK follower. However, when you patted your sweaty head to show your mates how wet you were and showered me in it I nearly puked down your back! Overall though, fantastic night. Can't wait till we get to see them at a massive venue like Rod Laver.
ok me reveiw will prob be very long cause i like detailing my reveiws
ok the day started slow as always on the day of any gig, i waited for my cuz to wake up then she did some work stuff, then we eventually left to kill time, we went shopping and wondered around into shops, soon enough it was getting to that time were the both of us had to get ready but first we stopped to get drinks but when we got back we were just really getting ready, i had two drinks before we left cause my cuz had to lock the door to her work. Once that was done we headed for the espy we toke two trams my cuz had an iphone which she could tell when we had to get off i was getting nervously excited as i have been told by Tommy, Billy, kev and mark that it was going to be an unbelivable night and that i heard that there were going to be heaps of ppl so i kinda made shore we were doing what ever it toke to get things done we eventually got there, no bouncers i would of thought there would one or two but we went in got a drink we thought the stage we first sore was it but we did find the right door which we sore Billy, Alex and Kev (from stone Parade) i wished i went up to them and had a chat but didnt. so we waited for like 15 min then we went to see if the doors were open they were so we both got stamped and went in first we just sat on the lounges for like 2min cause all i wanted to do is get a good spot which in the end i did, as some ppl were already there we both just stood there waiting and waiting and all of the sudden Greg from stone parade had come over to some of stone parades friends ( sorry if this sound like you but i am just trying to remember) he then sore me and we started to chat.
Greg: hey sarah brooks how are you?
Me: hey yea im good
Greg:what are you guys up to ( something like that i think)
Me: nothing much just got here early cause bday girl ( which was me which my bday is today) wanted to get a good spot.
Greg: happy bday
Me: thanks, im celerbrating it early tonight
he thought that was cool he then went on

i laugh and he went on about him having to come out for a glass of red wine and then said that there were about 500 people going to be there he said it just before i told him about my birthday he then left and we continued to wait and wait until finally the gig Simon and Tim Rand they did an acoustic gig which was great to see that they did very well concidering of what they said about the rehearsal only been 45min i guess it is good to be very music talented and Brothers.
after they finished i went to get my cuz and myself a drink we then waited for stone parade to come on. they eventually did after doing abit of sound checking, as they got underway i toke many pics but i cant remember the song list, greg then started to tell details about Dean Geyer which at first i couldnt put my finger to who he was talking about but Dean came onto stage and so Dean and stone parade played some body will miss you it was an awesome sett, didnt exspect Dean Geyer to appear as a special guest, they continued their sett which to me it looked like they had fun, then Greg went to hi five the front row my hand was last he grabbed my hand and then touched my hair i could not stop smiling, my cuz was jealous.
once they were off my cuz went to get the next round of drinks, the certains closed i didnt exspect JK to be before town hall steps, it was different but all good, eventually the music died and JKs sett began they came out with everything they had from the second they sore the massive crowd everyone was enjoying themselves from the word go. i know 3 ppl got the song list so i dont know what songs and in what order they were in all i can remember is My Baby, Save me, throw it away, if only, they are the only ones i can remember. there are some things that did happen as you may of read in other ppl reveiw but i couldnt see once Toby went into the crowd during throw it away. (joddie) you remembered my bday and was telling me about toby might say happy bday to me which he must of forgotten ah well,i did apprecaited what you said i didnt want the night to end it was to good to finish, but it did i think there were many ppl who just left but there were still many ppl there, i got myself another drink as i was going around trying to find all members of JK and SP i bumped into Greg we both said hey he huged me i tried to ask for a photo but he didnt here me, i then got my pic with Alex, after that we just kept going through ppl trying to find the guys i had spotted Tommy near the lounge area when he sore me this what happened.
i waved and he was like
Tommy: hey Sarah, how are you? are you enjoying yourself?
i reply hey, im good and hell yea of course then i ask for a photo then i was gonna try to tell him about my bday but people were a lil rude pushing through to him for a photo when clearly we werent finish our lil convo but i went back to find the others along the way Jaybro passed i grabbed his arm and asked for a photo i wanted to also tell him about my bday but he walked off but i guess it was hard to here as town hall steps were loud, then we sore Toby we moved closer and closer i got my pic i then asked him if i could get a group photo when really i should of used that opportunity to tell him about my early celerbrations but he said he doesnt know were the rest were and if that i really wanted to group photo i would have to find them all and get them in one spot, he then said that he sore me at the front on the stage and thanked me for coming out and seeing them, it was loud so he may of said more. i left him found Todd waited for his chat to end which this time wasnt as long as the last one, we had our pics together and then i did tell him im trying to get the band in one spot for a photo but he said in this crowd and this time of time would be impossible to get them all in one spot i could of tried but it would of never worked i left him and went to Dale we got our pics together he then asked for me name i told him and he then said his name, i think there were more to tht just cant remember as for me alot has been going on since that night. um then me and my cuz went looking for the rest of stone parade we couldnt ask Billy for the photo as he was on controls while town hall steps were on but greg, kev and mark had disappeared, it was geting late and i had bus to get the next day so these guys lose.
in the end i loved that night, i enjoy every gig i go to particually when the crowd gets invovled.
and also i saw tommy with his shirt on, should of taken the photo
as mainly everyone left there werent many ppl near the stage everyone just talked to one another and to JK. had so much fun i just want to rewind and do it all again with lil changes like telling Greg to tell JK about my bday and get me on stage with them and Dean Geyer but again i loved so much

What an awesome show. I am so glad I made the trip to see one last show of the tour and it had to be at the Espy. The guys were on fire, the crowd was amazing and I loved it.

Ok.. this comment came from my husband, not me. He has been to 4 JK gigs. He said from the Very back of the Espy (The back where the couches were) The sound was not that great. He has heard them better! Maybe being a long and quite Narrow room? But I said it sounded "fucking Brilliant" from where I was standing!!! (Near Eric Chow at first and then accross the other side near Denise and Vix)

Brooka, it is near impossible to get a group shot with all the boys (I think the only ones any of us have is from the JB instore's, where the crowds were small) With a crowd like they had at the Espy, would have been impossible. But you got some shots, so that's great! Hope it was a Great B'day for you though! x

I'm so used to going to work now and being completely deaf after their shows. We play music really loud there too so I have no hope hearing anyone lol. But it's all part of the experience. I freaking love it!

I love it too Mands.... My CD player in the car is contsantly on NWLH. LOUD! I can't remember the last time I had the Radio on! Im feeling really sad right now. It is now hitting home that they are leaving us! For the past 18 months I feel like I have been at Juke gig every 2 months or so (and I haven't been to as many as alot of you!) I think I better bring my own Kleenex on the 19th! I feel Like a Mum (like I am, of 2 boys) you want the best for them, but you don't want to see them leave you and venture out on thier own, I wanna hold them close to me... always! :sob: You know as soon as a tear is shed that night, I will start!
yea Todd did tell me it is impossible to get the group photo cause they were all in different area of the venue but toby said if i really wanted it i had to get the other four to him but i gave up when todd said it would be impossible
today i woke up feeling like the past three days went to quickly for me, also for some reason i felt alone cause one my fav bands have been real quiet, another leaving the country and the other not doing any gigs any where near me. now i have to get used to the old times TAFE, work, hockey gets abit boring tho.
i kinda do hope JK boys dont just leave australia for good and leave us fans to never seeing them again, but i do feel that they will with family and all.
i had a good bday besides my so called friends all didnt turn up on saturday night i guess i just got worked up to wht i thought it might of turned out.

I know that videos shouldnt be uploaded so will take this down by this time 2moro but i felt i needed to share this with everyone, it definately brings a tear to the eye...
Unfortunately when uploaded to Youtube it takes away some of the quality but if you watch it in HQ it seems a bit better
