Ok...so...here we go...

So Denise, Kelly and I made our way down to good ol' Franga together (I might add I haven't been there since the EastLink was put in...that hotel thing is so stupid!) on a nice freezing cold Melb night. We got there pretty early so having gone inside for a little bit (cursing the many many stairs as we went...well maybe that was just me) and noticing all of the big JK posters which would no doubt be stolen by the end of the night we did a quick cruise for familiar faces. Finally met Danny (it's been such a long time coming my Switzerland man) then hightailed it across the road to a restaurant where the Sambora shuttle (Bec, Fee, Lorena and Rosie, just to name a few) had parked itself for dinner. After successfully annoying the hell out of the other diners just enjoying life we headed back to the venue.

JnoM absolutely rocked it! They had a nice little crowd fist pumping in the air. Was great to see...especially since the last time I got to see them live was way back at the Save Me launch (so so long ago now).

So having gained quite a decent crowd, the lights finally dimmed and it was showtime! Now, I've got to say that my whole mission for the night was to pretty much hang back and relax...which lasted about 1 song and then I was dragging Danny (sorry hehe) to the front, trying not to knock everyone out of the way.

The boys were on fire! I'd almost forgotten what it was like when they have a decent size stage to run around on. Just amazing. Todd's hair was going everywhere, Tommy was headbanging along with Dale, Jaybro was pounding the skins like a madman and Toby's voice was just awesome.

I don't have the set list (I think I saw one in Becs hands) but some highlights so me...

My Baby: My fave live song was made 10 times better (if that's even possible). Their energy was just ridiculous...and I loved Dale's little sing-a-long ditty in the middle. Very cute...and fun

On Fire: This song is so close to our hearts now as it obviously is to the boys as well. Just beautiful. So much emotion. Definitely a pleasure to have seen live again.

If Only: Completely stripped back. Gorgeous. There isn't enough that can be said.

Jaybro's drum solo: OH...MY...GOD! What the hell?! It was INSANE! That man just gets better and better. He was just brilliant.

Toby climbing the speakers: It's become almost an inside joke now to figure out what monkey boy is gonna scale during the show. I honestly didn't think it was possible, given the ceiling was kinda low in comparison to the speakers and there were no rafters...but...there he was crouching so he doesn't hit his head and hanging out over the crowd...

We did a bit of street teaming after the show, handing out flyers for the Espy and farewell show. It never ceases to amaze me just how enthusiastic people are about the boys. We get so caught up in the little bubble of familiar faces that talking to people I've never seen before and seeing how devastated they were to know the boys were leaving was really special. JK are so so loved and there is no doubt that we're gonna give them one hell of a send off.

i had a personal highlight at the gig, got to sing a few lines of my baby with toby, at the start of the song he looked over to me & said you ready to sing & i was like yes, but i just though he meant singalong, but oh no, during the song, he jumped down & got me to sing a few lines with him
