hahaha.. I don't watch it. I feel so embaressed for the poor ladies who are made to wear a crop top, just to emphasize their size and the work outs they make these poor people do! I hate it coz I should be on there losing weight too.

Hey everyone,

Sorry it's taken so long to get anything up here. I didn't take my laptop on the road with me, so I'm hoping that my Facebook status updates during the trip made up for my lack of posting here for most of you! - I'm not sure how I'll go with getting any pics up straight away because I'm only home a few days this week before I head off again & I have a few other things I need to get done...

So Coffs Harbour started off well, I loved the fact that my plane seemed to virtually land on the beach!! (Coffs airport is right next to the ocean). At that stage the weather looked great, but by 9am the rain had started, & then continued for most of the day, with small breaks in the weather, but mostly getting more & more torrential, to the point that by 6pm I abandoned getting flyers stuck up around town as it was pitch black, I was soaked, & there was no people around anywhere to see the flyers anyway! So I went back to the Hoey Moey (gig venue & where we were staying) to take shelter. I grabbed a beer while soundcheck was on & decided to go out to the sheltered beer garden & listen from there. The rain got so heavy & loud on that tin shelter than I couldn't hear JK anymore & there was a mini river happening between the beer garden & the actual pub, which had a steady stream of JK flyers floating down it that I placed under ashtrays earlier that day! - So I went back inside to welcome the Stone Parade boys who'd arrived after their all day drive in crap weather! Not long after, the NSW gals started to arrive so I spent some time playing pool with them (very badly I might add! lol!).

I think Stone Parade are getting better & better. I was trying to take in as much of their set as possible between pool shots, but as I was playing crap it turned out to be the longest pool game in history...

As JK hit the stage, the room was still quite empty, but I'm not at all surprised with that weather. Coffs Harbour had major flooding less than 2 weeks earlier, & people were obviously being cautious & wanting to stay dry.

I can't remember the setlist but I'm certain the boys started with "Scars" that night. JK played well. It was actually more like an extended JK family vibe with the Stone Parade & Town Hall Steps boys all joining us down the front to rock out to JK. Greg from SP & his girlfriend were enjoying themselves as was Billy who was taking photos with Lenny's camera & looking like a professional photographer, & Harvey & his girlfriend were having a great time too. Kat (JK's beautiful roadie) had her family there too. Everyone that was there seemed to be in a real happy party mood so it was a fun night.

The thing I remember most is at the end of the gig when during "Save Me" 2 girls got up on stage dancing & it actually looked quite cool - just like a video clip. - I videoed that (until I ran out of memory card space halfway through the song) & then realised the next day that one of the girls dancing on stage was Nic, Harvey's girlfriend!

Sorry that this review is more about the overall day & night rather than JK, but being the 1st of the 5 gigs & leaving it for so long to do this post, there's not much else I can remember (& I'd only had a few drinks!). I do remember having a very fun night.

I'll get pics up at some stage. If I can't do it tomorrow, I may have to see if I can fit my Macbook in my bag to take with me down to VIC...

By the way, videos won't be posted now from any of the gigs I've been to or that I will go to in the next few weeks. I had a chat with Harvey & I agree & respect that no matter how good anyone's videos may look it's worth being careful of what goes up on youTube, etc. Harvey & the boys still have use for my videos but I'm leaving it up to them if they actually want to post any of them anywhere...

...now onto the Byron thread!

Alrighty..Let the Road Trip begin

Meg, her friend jenny & myself decided to head up to Coffs harbour on Tuesday night...Once Jenny finally arrived it was about 7:30pm and we decided to get going as there had been an accident on the freeway..Well we lasted about 3 mins before we decided to have our first break & have some KFC for dinner LOL
Anyway..we finally get going thinking the traffic will be cleared, I mean the accident happened at lunch time & it was now about 8:30pm......well we were WRONG. I think we listened to NLTH 1 1/2 times before we got on the freeway...which should have been a 20 min trip...
It is about a 5-6 hour trip to Coffs in normal weather, so we didnt end up getting to our hotel until after 3am.. I was sitting in the back and got to watch Meg & Jennys antics..including singing to each other (Jonifer)..So while the trip itself was uneventful...inside the car was lots of fun..(Meg, how many more Maltesers can you fit in your mouth?)
So we finally get to our hotel & figure out where the lock box was for our key park the car & head up to our room..Do you have any idea how much crap 3 ladies (haha) have for 6 days OMG!!! We finally got to bed around 4 & I think we woke up at 10ish...
Finally they day is here.. We were hoping to sit on our banana shaped banana lounges, but the weather just wouldnt agree with us so we went shopping instead... Off to Park Beach Plaza for some brunch & to do some STing. While we were sitting there we saw the lovely Kat jog past us...getting some exercise....After this we decided to play tourist & went to the Big Banana.. Meg couldnt wait to have a choc coated banana...(if you go to our fb pages you will see how much she enjoyed them)
After taking the car back to the hotel & letting Jenny have some peace so she can do some work Meg & I decided to go for a walk & check out the Hoey Moey...As we were crossing the road we hear this Hey Chickies so we look around & there was Todd crossing the road as well. We just waved and called out hi & went on our way....
The Hoey Moey...well I am use to being one of the only females in a pub, but I normally have my hubby with me. Meg & I felt out of place but decided to get a drink anyway cause it had started to rain AGAIN. Finally the rain eased up & we went for a walk down the beach to get some pics & then called into the bottleo on the way back to get some more drinks.
We get back to our room & Meg makes us some Illusion shots...not sure how many we had before we left for the gig, but all was good.
Over to the Hoey Moey & we saw all the guys in there but left them to do there own thing.. while we were lining up ordering dinner Dale came over & said hi to us & chatted for a little while. And then Tommy came over while we were waiting for our dinner to arrive... (BTW dont order the Chicken schnitzel if you go to the Hoey Moey - not to sure what it was LOL). After dinner Lara & Kate came up & introduced themselves.
Around this time SP started so we went back into the venue & went to the back of the room to play pool & watch the guys perform. We also caught up with Danny then. Even though we were up the back we made sure we would clap along to SP & THS. Saw all the boys at some stage or other sitting up the back.
Fianlly JK come on woo hoo... crowd wasnt very big as Danny had said, but we had promised Tommy we would go up front and make fools of ourselves. So up we hop to the front row to the left.Somehow or other I ended getting shuffled into the the middle in this gap & boy did I feel uncomfortable. I cant remember if they started off with December or Scars, but the performance was still great. Kat had patched the whole stage by herself & was very proud of herself (& I dont blame her...have you seen all those cords).. There was the usual If Only, Innocence, TIA, Save Me etc..After On Fire I decided to sit back down at the back as I had a headache.. It was great watching them from there as you get to see all of the boys perform not just whoever you are in front of.
JK finished & they boys went & quickly got changed...I decided that I was going to get my pic taken with Dale, Todd, Tommy & Jay on this roadtrip & decided to get it done that night so it was out of the way. The boys all seemed greatful that we were there & were looking forward to Byron the next night.
I have probably bored you all shitless with this, so my next few reviews wont be so long...
If you want to look at pics just go to my FB page & I will try & post some here later.. I will say not many pics were taken at any of the gigs this time...we decided to "rock out" & just enjoy :)
