But I just got some bad news from Triple M Adelaide (see e-mail below)... - let's use it as ammo to step up the requesting everywhere else!! Including Adelaide! (who cares what the "jury" says - if there's enough of us constantly requesting the track, they should still take some notice!).

P.S. before I post the e-mail from MMM Adelaide (who also by the way had "Mickey" by Toni Basil & "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper on the same stupid survey!!) - I was just on i-Tunes & noticed that the album has dropped from #20 to #31 overall & from #3 to #5 on the rock chart... hopefully we can somehow get more people to download it!! - Here's that crappy e-mail...

Thanks for your e-mail. That is disappointing news, but in all fairness how can people be given a chance to warm to such a great song like this when they only get to hear a 5 second snippet on the music jury & they may not yet have heard it elsewhere? - If you think the song is good, then why not give it at least a handful of full plays on air (at a decent hour of the day) so your audience gets the chance to hear it? - You never know, you might even attract more listeners by doing so! You don't know til you try!!

I've noticed Juke Kartel are playing a couple of gigs in Adelaide next week (April 11 & 12) so maybe that'd be a good time for people to get familiar with also hearing the song on radio??

I have thought many a time to send a reply similar to that Danny but I don't wanna do the wrong thing & put the radio stations off side so as much as I'd love to send one to all the stations i have refrained from it...
I did tell a DJ at Triple M Melb when i spoke to him & he said they don't get many requests that its a catch 22 , you don't play them enough for people to hear them & wanna request... I told him we do what we can but there are just so many of us , we do our best...he said that he would talk to the Music director at least..

Everyone is doing such a great job with the requesting and I truly appreciate all the help. Persistence pays off with it. The music directors get to know you and will give in after time and play it. Its a painful thing to do every day but they will give in if you request it enough. I have also found out that alot of the stations have the playlists set a couple of days in advance so requesting it on the day may not result in airplay on that day.

All we can do is keep at it, use different names if you can and different email addresses. My cat requests everyday and so do I so they dont think its the same person all the time. One thing, try not to mention that you are on a street team. Nova particularly is one that notices this and gets there back up about it and wont play the song. Just a regular person off the street works better with some stations.

Dont forget, playing the cd can also bring in people. Most of the people at my work are now fans and are requesting when they can as well. I have also been playing it in my car and have had a few people wind windows down to hear it. Every little bit helps to get the JK word out. We will get this song on the radio people, its too beautiful not to be played.

I had to buy 2 copies when i got mine...A lady i work with wanted it & she has never heard them , she said she trusted my judgment :)
Also another guy at work finally got around to listening to some songs b4 the CD came out & he said to me that he didn't think he was gonna like them but he actually did & was going to download the CD from I-Tunes over the weekend...
They wanted to hear the CD on Friday when i brought it in.. It got played at least 4 times through & then the girls in the other department had it on loop for at least 3 hours :)

I get told that I am totally obsessed but at least everyone I work with know the name "JUKE KARTEL"
I went with a girl from work to see KOL & she said to repay the favour ( I went under total sufferance...:gigg:) she was gonna come see JK & I also have another girl who knows a few songs ( I made her a mixed cd ages ago ) she said she's coming to the Frankston gig with me :)

I also purposely have my window down at traffic lights & the CD blaring so people have to hear them :gigg:

Totally agree. It's becoming easier to gauge where you can't and can't use the street team to your advantage. Like the boys from Action Battle Team loved us cos they loved the boys so you plugged it as much as you could. But the most important thing is for them to think that we're just normal everyday listeners and not working with any particular goal.

LOL! Then I was asked on air "what song did you vote for?" - so I proudly said "If Only" by Juke Kartel (which also happened to be where my CD was up to at the time they called) at which stage there was about 2 seconds silence!! Then the announcer said "I don't think we have that one on there!" to which I replied "it wasn't on the list, I added it in the extra section you have under the list". - He then said "we'll have to check that one out, thanks for uploading it"! (?? uploading it??). - So they couldn't play it, but me mentioning "If Only by Juke Kartel" definitely got on the air! - So everyone, make sure you fill out that "extra" part underneath the Hot 30 list this week - we may just have a shot at getting it on there!!

Thanks Mands. We need to start pushing this again. Request on any station but also if you get a chance request Save me and December as well. I know nova sites, you can request a few songs. Dont forget to keep requesting Save Me on video hits, mtv, rage etc as well. We all know how awesome that filmclip is and after the fantastic tour, more and more people are aware of the guys and would love to see the clip.

I have been requesting "Randomly" (once a week or so) Thanks for the reminder Nita! Hope that the US will embrace the "Invasion". God I am missing them! I found myself, in Music desperation, hanging to see "Angry Anderson" (Rose tattoo) at the Alexandra (Counrty Victoria) Truck, Ute and Rod Show! (I was bummedf that he didn't sing "Scott and Charlene's wedding song "Suddenly") I could NOT believe how little Angry is. He got of stage and onto the footpath, I knew he was short, but my God, he is TINY!!
