An excellent packed show at Viper last night

Feels like we gave them a proper send off back to you Oz Gals... Enjoy !!!

Okay, the Viper Room. My hubby and I went to the Red Rock around 9:30pm thinking that the boys were going to be there, since Toby had mentioned it when we were at the Roxy. Unfortunately, they were too busy to make it, so the hubby and I had an intimate dinner.

We walked over to the Viper Room, not realizing that we were only 1 short block away. As soon as we got there, we saw Toby, Todd, Tommy and Dale hanging outside the Viper Room. Apparently the bands before them were running late and they couldn't get their band gear in the venue until the last band was done. We talked to the boys for a bit and decided to go in.

There were 2 bands before JK. One was halfway done and the other was waiting to load their gear and set up. The band that came on before JK was called Loaded, they were okay. Of course I just couldn't wait for JK to come on as the time was quickly going by. JK didn't start until I think 12:30am. And of course they rocked the house for about 40-45 minutes. The venue was pretty packed. Had to hold my ground and not let anyone get infront of me.

We took a bunch of pictures, I will post right after this.

Rose got some singing time with Toby. And so did the lead singer of Paperback Hero. It was difficult to get a good pic of Todd as he was on the other end of the stage and you know how he is, always "flicking" his hair as Toby would say, and constantly moving around. Since the band started late, we didn't get a chance to really hang out with the guys. We got kicked out of the venue at 2pm and a bunch of us stood outside the venue to wait for them. My hubby and I waited for our turn to say goodbye, which ended up being the last ones there. We took a group picture with the back of my jeep that I think looks pretty cool. Then we said our goodbyes. I'm embarrassed to say that I cried saying goodbye to Toby. (What a dork). But he was very nice about it. = ) That was pretty much it. No "full Monty" this time, the guy actually stayed sober. All in all, it was a great night.

Well I am a little out of it today and thanks to user error with my camera I didnt get any pics again--so pissed at myself.

But I did snag the set list which was:

We saw Dale and Tob as we walked into the club and gave hugs and I got to introduce my hubby to Toby and he was like "So this is Randy (he remembers everything) , thats my name Randy" Such a sweetie. Said the Roxy was awesome etc.

Firstly the Viper, although famous is the worst of the clubs they played. They tend to det a drunker and meaner crowd it seems. I stayed sober on this one--had too to push off the drunk crazies falling into us! And they crank the tunes too loud for the small venue so the sound is not as good as some other clubs.

BUT This was such a kick ass show. It was nostalgic for me beign there with Steph and Rita..the first place we ever saw Juke and then closing it out here in the States. The were so amazing. Toby is such an amazing frontman, so charismatic. Love his darker hair with the white shirt which he stripped down the tank top mid set.

They are such a tight unit right now, the show was amazing. Yeah it didnt start until 1248pm exactly...with didjeredoos (how do you spell that?) playing before the curtain dropped and the band started rocking..gave me chills.

They did If Only on acoustic sans drums, the harmonies are amazing. Toby came off stage to sing with Brian from Paperback Hero as you saw in Anna's photos. They also brought their friend from Oz, Ben on stage and explained about his breaking his hip at a wedding they all went too a few months back and said if you meet Ben, not to touch his hip area lol.

Toby introduced each member and said about Todd's hair flippin...they actually counted it at the roxy and he flipped his hair like 1 million 23 times LOL

Anyhow they said they'd be leaving and heading back to Oz to do a 3month tour and then back to the states in June. Yay cant wait for that. I am officially Juked again and cant get enough and now they are leaving so sad. :( I didnt stick around to say goodbye, we hung for a minute but they were engrossed in conversations with others and I didnt want to intrude.

I am loving the new songs, Innocence and Then She said are awesome. I will paypal money to Oz if someone gets me the CD!

I wish you all could have been there and I am so glad I got to go and love those boys to pieces. Next stop--world domination I hope!

Back in June?!! Fingers crossed, that would be so amazing!! We'll let you girls in Oz borrow them for a little while. :gigg:
