Welcome to the next instalment of the JK Road trip. I did a quick review of the instore in another thread earlier today ... can't remember which one :blush::gigg:

We started the day early to make the 2 hour trek to Bendigo, we were happily singing along when we got behind a nanna driver on the freeway, on a glance across of said Nanna driver we found it was Jaybro and Dale :whist: Eat our dust boys :gigg:

We checked into our hotel and went and cruised the streets of Bendigo sussing out where Leading Edge and The Pub on our travels we saw the boys prowling the streets looking every inch the rockstars they are.

We went and chatted to Harvey and collected the cards to pass out and received clapping and cheering from the JK boys as we left the store. After 1 and 1/2 hours passing out the cards in the searing heat and dusty winds we staggered back to the store to watch the instore - see other review for more details. It was also nice to meet Murial :wave:

wind the clock forward several hours forward and there we were waiting in the main bar for the doors to open for show. It was disappointing to see such a small crowd (100 people at best) but as Muriel said it was like having an intimate private show :) but I jumped forward a little too much.

Stone Parade came out and I think performed better than they did at Ruby's they interacted with the crowd more and just seemed more comfy on stage. I'm looking forward to seeing them again tomorrow night.

Anyway the boys came on and rocked the house, while most of the front row were dedicated seasoned JK fans the rest of the room were soon jumping around and singing although some thought this was comedy hour and continued to chant seether seether or count during the lower/slower tones of some of the songs :shrug

Toby jumped down into the crowd and went to the back of the room and had Lenny play harmonica which was awesome and then on the return to stage he sung with people in the crowd. Poor Toby did have a little mishap with one of the speaker when he stood on it and it tipped up but all was good and no harm done.

All in all it was another great night and I'm ready to do it again tomorrow.

Bugger, I So wanted to Hear "If Only" at Ruby's the other night ( I LOVE it!). And from Memory another Fav of Mine "My Baby" wasn't played there either!! And were is YOUR "Fire Sign"? hehe

When I think of Bendigo, I think of the "Talking Tram" did the boys hop on the Tram whilst they were Cruising Bendigo? hahaha Or the Chinese "Joss House"? My grade 5 school camp memories are coming back to me.....

Sounds like it was a great day/night! I too had a chuckle at the nanna driver, what a classic!

Im up and already packing for the night away here, Im not leaving till 11-12ish but am a tad excited hehe!
I went out yesterday and bought a new smaller camera too so I can get snap happy without having to lug our huge one around! I had to con hubby saying we could use it for 4wding AND for my bands lol

Anyway id better go shower and finish getting ready :)
Will see all you lovely girls at the instore, will get there as soon as I can! I think ive talked my best friend from Ballarat to help too if thats ok.

To protect their rockstar image I won't name and shame the Nanna driver PMSL all I will say is thank god he frikkin rocks on the drums.................... oooooh I think I've said too much bahahahahaha

oooh I forgot to add in my review that Dale's starring performance on the tamborine when Stoned Parade was on stage was breath taking hee hee hee he is such a talented man ;-)
