Fee is my hero! They sounded amazing! I was in the car listening with the biggest (dickiest) grin on my face. People must have thought I looked like a freak hehe.
It's so sad that no one was let in until almost halfway through the set. My heart went out to the boys at the thought they were playing to no one :(

WTF happened there??? Wrong, Wrong, Wrong, on so many levels... :(
I just heard about that too, thanks to Mands. I hope the boys know that it was the venues fault they performed to buggar all people at the start! That's not right :(
Fee said she would get on tomorrow with a review and pics. Did anyone else go??
I went, honey and they were so awesome even tho we did only hear the second half of their set. Actually we heard all of it...their music carried out to the crowd with such strength. We were so anxious to see them that we left the line to go stand at the fence and watch from afar. That's when we noticed someone had entered through a back gate so we hightailed it over there and initially the security guard wasn't gonna let us in but Harvey came over and gave him shit and he complied....I love Harvey! Minutes later Fee and the girls came pummelling in to front of stage....go girls! I loved your excitement haha.
I've completely lost track of what the setlist was, sorry. Was so glad just to get there. They sang Innocence, Save Me, December, Whatcha Gonna Do, TIA, I think I recall hearing Falling.
Mands don't feel bad for them (tho I know it's instinctive) ....they were really happy up there and making fun of it all as they do. Once people started pouring in there was a good amount enjoying JK. Two young blokes got up front and were headbanging their hearts out....girls were squealing and bopping away (Fee, Bec hehe) Ahhh I love those guys so much! Adelle, THANKYOU so much for the pics, they are bloody awesome!!!I looked at the clock at 12.15pm and was thinking were I would liked to have been! Pleased that Harvey harrassed security and let you in. As for Toby's Dark hair... I LIKE it!! (after hearing the mention of Toby going dark haired at one stage, I thought he may look like an Elvis impersenater, But it looks great!) I love the daylight pics for a nice Change (like Gunnamatta Beach almost 1 year ago!) Thanks Again Adelle!

Thanks for the pics Adelle. I LOVE Toby's new dark hair!! It gives him a completely different look and I like it. I cant believe the venue didn't wait until the crowd was IN before they had JK start playing. That sucks for people who were there for JK.
I love it too, Tina! Yep the venue were 20 or so minutes late opening but JK had to start on time. So frustrating!

Wow where to start?..
We loaded the car full of lollies and sugary drinks ready to begin our road trip. We weren?t sure how long it was going to take us so we set of early and much to our surprise and the surprise of the Solar staff pmsl we were at the Mornington Racecourse at 9.30 am so instead of doing something constructive like exploring Mornington we parked the car and went and sat and began drinking in the smell of horse poopies and enjoying the early morning sun and smiling with knowledge that swe were first there we were definitely be going to get in on time to see the boys. We heard the boys doing sound check and well it whetted our appetite for what was to come.
At 11.30 am when the crowds started to roll in we lined up tickets in hand thinking the gates would be moments away from opening?.. we were wrong.
12 o'clock came - security staff, ticket staff, flier hander outers were wandering around looking dazed and confused and we were getting a tad frustrated. They were still putting up posters and demanding everyone eat/drink/get rid of all food and drinks. Even bags of lollies weren't allowed.
12.10 pm struck and we could hear a drum beat we all looked at one another knowing full well that it was Jaybro startin up ????? but hang on no one was being let in????..then some guitar filters through ??????. The watch tapping and throat clearing begin.
12.15 pm we hear the voice of the man of the band we have travelled all this way to see (we couldn?t have given a rats arse about the other 20 odd performers). Questions are asked why aren?t we being allowed in, the gates were meant to be opened 15 minutes ago, we came all this way only for Juke Kartel. The respond from security ?its sound check?. My arse it was sound check and said security guard was quickly told this in no uncertain terms. Of course said security guard was a power tripper - give a little lip and he decides to push the people in our line and our line only behind an imaginary line and then proceeds to check our id (which had already been done by the lovely ticket lady) not once but twice. He made us lift our sunnies to verify that we were who we claimed - for fuck sake. Lorena being the cool calm and collected one soothed the savage beasts (beasts being Bec and I lol) and said getting in late was better than not being allowed in at all and she was right so we started to smile sweetly while grinding our teeth and made nice with the security dude.
We hear 1 song then another song and then a third song begins. Words will not describe the pain I wished to inflict on security by this point but finally we are told we can go in. Our tickets were scanned and I think 3 very passionate JK fans broke the 100 metre speed record PMSL
God only knows what we must have looked like bolting for the JK stage there were boobs bouncing, hats flying and security wolf whistles coming from all angles ??.. but our main goal with our not so glamour entrance was achieved to sing and dance to the best band playing at the solar festival.
Our time waiting in the morning wasn?t wasted as we created a sign requesting a couple of our favourite songs which when shown retrieved a grin from both Tommy and Toby but sadly our request wasn?t delivered?. Don?t worry boys there are 5 more Victorian shows bahahahaha
Now the part of the review you?re all really reading for - the boys!!!!
They were awesome and a tad relieved I believe to be playing to people rather than a lonely patch of grass.
I can?t recall all the songs played due to the adrenaline fuzzing my brain from waiting to get in and then the gallop of the century lol but here are a few

There were more but hell by the end of it I was too busy singing and dancing my heart out. The guys were full of energy and smiles and musical hijinks between Toby and Dale especially considering it was early for them lol.
A quick glance around it was easy to see lots of people were tapping to the JK beat.
Besides the bumpy beginnings which is no fault of the JK boys we had an awesome time and had a quick chat with them after the show.
So a big thank you to Toby, Tommy, Dale, Todd and Jaybro for another stellar performance.

AWESOME review Fee and Addy. Fee you are my hero girl. Innocence sounded AMAZING! I got some funny looks from people at red lights rocking out and grinning like a crazy woman. I wish someone got a pic of you girls running for your lives to the stage :gigg:

BTW, I have never heard of coloured "hair colour" (other than
