Now that the guys have won the Nova unsigned award, we need to get promoting it so that we can hear it more and more and not just on Nova. Below is some tips for requesting.

* Dont mention that you are from the street team, just mention that you are a fan and you love the music.

* Join the countdowns/music surveys/control freaks etc. This can benefit you as well, there is quiet often prizes for this and you never know, you could be a winner. To help with easy identification, put your local radio station in your favourites folder for easy reference.

* For people that have had the absolute pleasure of seeing them live, tell the djs that you have seen them live and would love to hear the song. It gets them thinking and I have had emails back about where they played.

* Dont be afraid to ring the stations and request the song or talk to the djs, any chance to talk up Juke Kartel is fantastic. Persistence can pay off!

* Be nice, friendly and professional when talking/emailing/requesting December. We are representing the boys.

* Even one request from someone can make a difference.

* Change the times that you put in requests. Different shows have different types of music that they play and some shows are pre taped so getting in early in the day could affect the night show and doing it in the afternoon could work for the morning shows.

* Our main aim is to get Juke Kartel on the playlists of as many radio stations across Australia as possible and to keep them there. If they are being played, we still need to request them, once the requests stop, they may take it off the playlist.

* Dont run the risk of upsetting your work or homelife with the requesting. Do what you can when you can. We all appreciate how busy your lives are at the moment.

If you have got a station that is being a bit stubborn in playing December, please let me know. The more it is requested the more chance we have of them giving in and playing it.

On that thought Addy, the only way I could get the time of Nova playing December the other night was to tell the Action Battle Team boys I was part of the ST cos they're ridiculously familiar with us. Is that alright seeing as I'm not actually requesting?? Don't wanna do anything stupid :blush:

Thats where there's the exception. Sometimes it works in our favour so that's cool. As for your general txting and phoning in....even email, just being Joe Blow looks like there's fresh interest for JK....which is what we want hands down.

I just want to say that you girls are doing an awesome job and the band is so lucky to have such amazing fans supporting them!!! Hey all, great work on Nova tonight, getting it to be the next song after the top ten is awesome and I know they got a new fan from it.

Just a little side note, dont forget, whenever we are talking about JK we have to remember that we are representing the guys and to keep it professional and nice. If someone dosent like the music, thats there opinion and we can only try to sway them towards the guys. We are doing an awesome job on getting it played, lets keep it up. Juke will be in that top ten if we keep doing what we are doing.

Dont forget the hot 30 on the austereo network too. Cant hurt to have the guys in two countdowns a night.

With a lot of the regular DJ's on holidays some of the music is already pre programmed so getting in at any time of the day can affect any show. I have been requesting in the morning and it finally got played today at 3pm in Nova Brisbane. If you do get a message back that the music director is away on leave, try calling the station or an sms request will work as well.

And to everyone, dont run the risk of affecting your family or work doing requests and especially during this time of the year. Each and every request is making a difference and I truly appreciate all your help.

Our main aim is to get December on playlists and then to keep it there so keep up the fantastic work, we shall blanket the country in no time.

I'm on the Gold Coast when it's released. I'm hoping I can find a good music store that will have it there. JB seems to like to take a few days after the release date to actually put it on the floor :(

Got into the car today (12.40pm) , stereo came in. I heard what I thought was the end of December. Just thinking it was the end of the CD, then I heard a Coldplay song. The radio sation was Vega 91.5. Can't be 100% sure if it was December or not as I was just thinking it was the CD and didn't take too much notice. Might shoot of an email to them and ask. If it wasn't It, then I will request it. Didn't think Vega would be playing it, as its songs are a little "older" (like me..lol) but they claim to play "the best of the 70's 80's and todays Best Music"!

The last week for us all has been incredibly emotional and distressing, to say Im not a proud Aussie would be an understatement.

Juke Kartel have put their hearts on their sleeves this past week and I personally would like to show them how much we love them. To hear Tobys voice coming out of the radio would certainly put a smile on many peoples faces at the moment.

It was not expected of you guys to do requesting while everything was and still is happening in victoria. You had other things to be more worried about.

I think we just need to be consistent now, get the radio station numbers of requests for december up so then they have to play it.

And it was ok for you drowning Queenslanders??? I can see you floating in a canoe with your trusty cell phone busily requesting, Nita. hehe

some good news - i heard december on triple m (melb), 3 times this weekend.

once sat a/noon, once sun morning & again sun a/noon, they were doing a think on melb made bands, so hopefully they continue to play it
