Oh my God!! I'm not home so can't load any pics yet...my shitty camera only captured a few but the show itself was soooo incredible!!!!
The boys were ON and the crowd even knew the lyrics to some of the songs! They all did so well....emotional thinking about it again. Even Tommy got the hairflipping happening haha!
This was a magic show! The crowd loved them, the Seether boys were rocking to them and loved that their support act was so cool!
We manned the doors at the end of the night with postcards and caught the exodus...the comments on JK were inspiring!! I could hear South African accents exclaiming how seck (sick) JK were. People would look at the card and see the show dates and gasp in joy that JK would be playing in Adelaide or Sydney etc. We had people quickly walk past to avoid the card handout then they'd see who was on the card and turn back to grab it.
Lucy was on the door helping us....she's so beautiful....how did you get her, Dale?? Hahaha!
Ahhh I'm so happy to have been there and experience everything, namely JK's performance but the crowd's reaction had me clucking like a mother hen.

Only 5 or 6 hours more. It's been a 21 month wait for me. Sounds like it will be one big bang of a rebirth for me. I am shivering with excitement already.

Adelle spot on, the crowd was loving it!... I was right at the front and was looking behind to look at the seether fans to check their reaction. I could see the looks on their faces. They were loving it and it nearly made me get a tear in my eye.:wave:

The Seether fans around us were asking questions about the band "if they were any good" "where were they from" etc so I had great delight in telling them how brilliant the JK boys are and was very proud to see a few of them buying the single!!!!
One guy goes ooh yeah I've seen them on video hits!!!!!!
Had to giggle when Throw it away came on and we were singing in our loudest bestest voices and the Seether fans turned around and just watched us for a minute...... hmmmm it may have been because I really shouldn't sing in public :gigg:
I was very very excited meet the boys and get a photo with all 5 of them. They are so down to earth and friendly I just wanted to take them all home with me!!
But I honestly believe that quite a few Seether fans are now JK fans!!!
Adelle you should have grabbed us to help hand out the cards we were just hovering aroun the door trying to cool down x

We could only have a couple on the door end of the night because security didn't want a gauntlet of street teamers blocking the way. We covered everyone that wanted a card which was heaps! Not many left strewn on the ground afterwards as Paris pointed out...great sign they were being pocketed!

I was very happy with that Adelle....I don't think there were more than 10 cards on the ground which is fantastic considering how many we handed out.
As you all know, I'm not good with reviews...I can only say that the boys ROCKED IT last night. I'm so glad that hubby gave me permission to go. lol. As I've also said before, Dale always amazes me on stage...he is the one to watch. LOVED that he sung Highway to Hell...gave me goosebumps.
All the boys were awesome. Love them dearly and I am soooo happy for them and so proud. Many Seether fans were impressed with the performance and I'm sure alot are now JK fans. Great to hear the feedback while handing out the cards.
Fee...I think I saw you during the night but didn't get a chance to come over and say hi. I was also a bit out of it as I had a full on long weekend so my head wasn't there. lol. Next time I'm sure we'll get to meet. You're pics looks fantastic.
I didn't take any pics as my camera was dying so I just stood back and enjoyed the show.
Anyone going tonight and tomorrow night, have a great time...you will love it.

I'm always around Seether official board since the Disclaimer album...and the fans was a little bit confused about "Rockstar supernova" stuff thinking that would be a crappy band....BUT...after the show people are saying that it was fantastic...the only member who comment about JK at HI-Fi show said:
"Went to the gig at The Hi FI last night and had to say, it was the best gig I have EVER been too (well apart from the sound issues but that wasnt Seethers fault). The whole gig was fantastic! Definately worth the wait.
Juke Kartel were great!"

I've re-written my review, the first was just a pump out to update you all in a rush while I was still in the city.
My review of JK at the HiFi. If you have the time and inclination I hope you enjoy the read. :)
Tuesday night, Melbourne cup day in the bowels of the city. The venue: HiFi Bar on Swanston Street. The evening, warm and still....perfect night to be rocked. We walked up a quiet, dim sidestreet and turned the corner to the HiFi Bar; the milling line outside was lengthy and abuzz with the urgency to secure tickets before sellout.
Into the dark stairwell we descended....to the belly of the HiFi, a mass of bodies already consuming standing room except for a clear space enclosing the bar as everyone was establishing their mosh-spot on the floor. The air was close, my anticipation closer.
The universe smiled upon me and a pathway directly to the stagefront lay ahead. I took advantage and made for the forward flank; directly alongside a steely-eyed bouncer poised and ready block us from traversing the gap between crowd and band. He was safe, I wasn't about to do anything rash although the thought did cross my mind....nah not a good look hehe.
The crowd had parked itself as far forward as was humanly possible as more emerged from behind. The massive room was a moving, breathing entity and suddenly we were in the eye of the storm....silence with impregnated energy sitting at the brink.
The trademark squeal went up as Toby entered and centred the stage and we were into it....
My Baby escalates over to us, the boys sounding resonant and strong. The crowd seems tough initially; diehard Seether fans looking on speculatively, wondering how these Juke boys will go. Then out rips Scars and people take notice, the power of Toby's vox blasting the backline. Tempo picks up with Sublime Truth, "Is the smoke buildin' up, are you needing a rescue?"
The crowd's moving, getting into it, onlookers on the upper floor are up against the screens, craning to get a better look at these rockers. I turn my attention forward, not wanting to miss a JK thing but also drawn to gauge the crowd's reaction.
Haunting, heavy and dark, "Then She Said" licks out, Jay's skins drawing us into an elemental rhythm, Toby's vocals wickedly seducing us from it. In awe I let it take over.
Lead into My Innocence. Todd's intensity fierce and focused on the sound enveloping him, then aggressively hurling it out to us, "My fall from grace.......taking all our innocence away."
I hear the lyrics of December rising in cadence from the floor, combining with the frontman's....I'm wrapt and loving this reception of the house, loving that others are loving JK.
Distracted, I'm easy prey for Whatcha Gonna Do when it slaps me across the head and demands my full attention. "In twenty four hours, fifteen seconds alone"...."Whatcha gonna do!" Dale's lead is returning Toby's vocals, you know what I'm talking 'bout if you've seen JK. Fantastic accent on such an awesome tune.
Time to bring us back to the blood of rock. Acca Dacca's Highway To Hell. Led by Dale on vocals it thumps it's way through the room, Tommy going apeshit on bass and Toby joining in midsong. Todd can't stand still and Jaybro's goin' sick!
Throw it away ensue's and the song is thrown between moshpit and stage as peeps melt the traverse the bouncer's still greedily protecting with their refrain of TIA's "Oh oh oh oh oh oh"
By now I think the crowd are soundly convinced that this is Aussie rock. Not satisfied we've been rocked enough the band of brothers rips into us again and seals the deal to close the set with Save Me. "Are you feelin' alive?!!"
*Footnote: The feedback was amazing! As I stood by and watched the exodus of people from the Hifi bar I couldn't help but overhear the comments on how sick JK were, (some even in spunky Sth African accents!) Plenty of the Seether mob left the joint satisfied that they'd been run though twice by awesome bands....Seether were fantastic....Juke rocked my world.
Great review Adelle - I really get a sense of the crowd slowly but steadily getting into the music.
Somebody, please help me, I can't stop reading it!
Adelle you are such a fantastic writer. I know it helps when you believe in the material but DAMN you have me so wrapped! I hope I can return the favor for you some day.
