14 nights? Thats the exact same Cruise we went on Last Nov/Dec on Pacific Dawn. (the Dawn's second sailing)
We missed out on Savu Savu (but went to Isle of Pines twice)

The only way I can make the Brissy ones is to have a couple more days annual leave & if I did it would have to be Thurs show cause we leave on Sat & I wouldnt want to risk missing the boat if the planes stuff up. Or if I did see the fri show I would have to be on a 6am flight to be back early.

I have found somewhere cheap and cheerful for you to stay. Nothing too upmarket, but somewhere to lay your head, and I think it includes breakfast and a gym to work off the hangover. The 2 bedroom apartment/s can accommodate up to 5 for less than $50 a head.

(Maybe I can entice some more visitors to the Emerald City with prices like that!)

You need to look at the City South (not the Hyde Park) hotel. It is a short taxi ride, or comfortable walk to the Gaelic Club, and easy access from Central Station for the train travellers.
If you check the location on the map, follow Cleveland Street (away from Sydney Uni), turn left into Elizabeth Street, A few blocks up on the right you will see "Devo". This is Devonshire Street. The Gaelic Club is not far (from memory, maybe less than a block) from the corner you can see.

Sounds great to me!!
And it's close to the station, so we won't have to drag our luggage too far!! I don't mind walking to the venue either - had plenty of pracice walking to the Greyhound from the backpackers.
