Fletchers Was packed I hear, fill us in Street Teamers!
This show was my third and by far the best. The boys were ON last night. Fletcher's was packed to the rafters. We had a great turn-out from the street teamers - you girls did a GREAT job of flyering the area! Unfortunately, I missed the first band. Whitestarr did a great set. These guys are really starting to grow on me. Juke blew the roof off the place. They included an acoustic version of Knockin' on Heaven's Door with just Toby and Dale, which I hadn't seen at the previous shows. What a great addition to the set. Here are a couple of pics from the club. I can't wait to see and hear more from the rest of you!!

I am so hungover its riddiculous. I don't think I've been that drunk since I graduated from college last December. The show was AMAZING and I can't wait to see the guys again on Tuesday in PA. I've got bunch of pictures to post, so bear with me. I also have a story about me driving Tommy, Todd, Dale and Eddie from Fletchers to their hotel before the show on Saturday night. More on that soon, I need to organize myself a bit. In the meantime, lets start with some pictures...

A few of the Street Team girls in Tamara's hotel room before the show. From left to right: Cho (Kim), jksinstress (Nikki), novacalypso (Beth), myself (Anita), Anola, and Tamara at the bottom. We pregamed the show pretty hard, and Tamara might have fallen over right after this picture was taken. :)

Let me say that the Juke boys told me that last night was their very favorite show....I told them that's because the Mid-Atlantic Juke Kartel Street Team kicks ass...they said they already knew that.
You girls are so incredible. I am so impressed with what you did. Tina and I were so proud of you guys. If every state street team were like you guys, there would be NO canceled shows and these boys would be on tour all the time.
I have no good stories. I'm a loser. I do have some cute photos though of the girls at the meet and greet!
I will however say that that show was so f*cking killer I can't even believe it. They were so good last night, and even though Toby had a cold, his vocals were fantastic. I loved hearing Knockin on Heaven's Door and I love the new songs coming out. Dale played the guitar with his teeth and the mic stand (I think Todd did too? Didn't he play with his teeth? Am I dreaming?)...Eddie was great...Tommy sounded fantastic last night...no technical problems...they were all great.
Also, there was a young boy there who they dedicated Robbie's Song too. He was a cutie!
Here's a couple of pics I took:

TINA! Can you make this smaller for Christ's sake? Pleeeeze?
Ok guys, I just got home so here is the story I promised you all of the infamous car ride with the band. Let’s start from the beginning though. After lunch at the Cheesecake Factory in the Harbor and some flyer posting with the street team girls, Nikki, Anola, Beth, Tamara and myself decided to pregame the show for a bit back at the hotel. We went out to a liquor store in Fells and picked up some rum. We got back to the room and I had JUST started on my drink when I got a phone call from Kelley. She tells me how Tommy is at Fletchers and needs a ride to the hotel, would I be able to pick him up? After some serious confusion on my part, I tell her yes, I will be right there as soon as I get my car out of valet parking. Anola, Nikki and Beth want to come for the ride, so we all head out to the elevator. Then I get another call from Kelley to find out its not just Tommy, but the whole band sans Toby. I look at the girls and explain to them its only a 5 passenger car, and I’m really sorry they can’t all come along. I finally get down to the lobby and get my car. I head towards Fletchers and definitely almost pass the whole band standing on the side of the road. I park the car illegally and the boys come over to get in.
Now here’s where I look stupid, LOL! Earlier in the car the girls and I had been listening to the Tarko EP. Well, I didn’t think to change the radio before the guys got in, and as Tommy sits down in the front passenger seat, “Sunday Nights” is playing. Tommy’s like, “I know this song!” and all I could think was what a tool I was to have their music playing in the car when I went to pick them up. The boys were really interested in where I had gotten the CD (Chaos.com) and I promised to send them the URL for it. Tommy kept saying how different Toby sounds now, compared to then.
Then I asked Tommy what hotel they were staying at. He told me (I’m not sure if I can post where they stayed or not?) and asked if I knew how to get there. I just looked at him and said, “This is a pretty big city hun, we’re going to need directions.” So then he gets out his phone, and while doing so inadvertently throws it at me and it lands between my feet. I give him the phone and he calls someone to ask for hotel directions. While this is going on my own phone rings and its Anola who wants to talk to Eddie. I pass the phone back to Eddie, and he was nice enough to talk to her for a moment. Then Todd tells me that he thinks he remembers how to get to the hotel. Since Tommy doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere with whoever he was talking to on the phone, I start to follow Todd’s directions.
Let me just say that these poor guys got stuck on the really sketchy side of the city, pretty far away from the venue. Todd also has a fantastic memory, because he knew exactly where he was going the whole time. As we kept driving out from the city I was becoming concerned that I would not be able to find my way back, but luckily we passed a 95 ramp, which I eventually used to get back to downtown. While we were in the car, I asked the guys if they were excited about the show tonight. Tommy said they really liked the venue, and thought it would be a good show. He asked me how many street team people I thought would be there, and I told him that my last count was 19. All of the guys seemed really impressed with that. I told them how we all had spent the morning putting up flyers and really promoting the show, so hopefully there would be a good sized crowd.
We passed the Natty Boh sign and I explained it to the guys. For those that aren’t local, Natty Boh is a really crappy local beer that is pretty popular in Baltimore. Its like horse piss in a can, but its cheap. The sign is this cartoon character face that resembles the Pringles man and the sign will wink at you as you drive by. Tommy then asked me if Baltimore was a bad city, and I explained to him that its one of the highest in the country for murder and has a rather large drug trafficking ring. I also told him that the hotel was not in the best area, and for them to be really careful leaving the hotel at night, and not to go out alone. I explained to the guys that I had just moved from Baltimore back in September, and I definitely didn’t miss living there. Tommy asked me where I lived and I told him, and he asked what I do and I explained how I work with special needs kids and horses and basically I teach horseback riding as therapy. All of the guys thought it was really cool that I was doing something that I really love. Its too bad I don’t make any money, but that’s another story.
We finally get to the hotel, and Todd tells me to turn at the “Macky-D”. I just looked at him with a WTF face and Tommy points at the Mc Donalds next to the hotel. OHHHH… lol! I pull up to the door and the all the guys thank me for the ride, and I tell them it was no problem and I will see them at the show. *whew*
For those of you who have seen them in person, you know how hot they really are. I still can’t believe I had all of them in my car, and I’m still not sure how I was able to concentrate on driving. The guys were really cool though, and I was completely comfortable with them the entire time. I hope I didn’t scare them too badly with my driving, I did explain to them that I was an American and couldn’t help it!
Hi everyone. This is the first time I've posted but I've popped in now and again to check out the reviews of shows because I was planning to bring my 10 yr. old son to a show and wanted to get an idea of what to expect.
We were at the Baltimore show and my son had the opportunity to spend some time with the guys before the show and I have to say they couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating! I can't say enough about them, especially Tommy who responded to an email I sent and invited Ryan to meet them at a show. My son had a great time, though he was a little overwhelmed, nervous, and EXTREMELY tired (semi-conscious towards the end but refused to leave until he heard Throw It Away!!!!). We drove 5 1/2 hours on Sat. so he could attend the show and on the ride down I asked myself often - am I out of my mind? It was worth every second as I saw my son go to sleep that night wearing his new JK shirt and a JK hat given to him by their manager, who, by the way, asked Ryan to help with the sound during the show! Could these people be any nicer!!?? He was awesome!
Kelly, I didn't hear them actually dedicate the song to Ryan so thanks for that bit of info in your post. I heard Toby mention his name but couldn't make out everything he was saying. Ryan felt pretty special last night - he's a special boy with lots of special needs. Every day presents many hurdles for him and it was amazing for him to have an opportunity to meet this group of people who made him feel so special and important.
I don't mean to go on and on!!! I just wanted to share what an amazing experience it was for my son and how nice everyone was to him. I should also say that these guys are not just nice they put on an awesome show. We had a great time. I'm happy to spread the word and support this band after our experience.
Hi everyone! Sorry I'm late. I had some flight issues on the way home. Major delay, the plane wouldn't start (that's right, the effing plane wouldn't start!), rerouted onto another flight through another city, then when I finally get home, the airline lost my bag! At least I had my camera with me so I could look at my pics. It was the only thing that kept a smile on my face all afternoon. Unfortunately, the USB cord for my camera is in my luggage so I can't upload anything until it gets delivered sometime late tonight.
Anyway, the show was unbelievable!! Those guys sure know how to rock a house. A truly amazing night. I know I will be reliving it, over and over again, for a LONG time. After their cd is released and they tour with Supernova, these boys are going to be HUGE. It may be wishful thinking on my part but I would love it if they did another tour of smaller venues sometime in the future.
Can you believe rowdycowgirl's awesome story?! I told her I wanted to run out to her car and sit in the passenger seat real quick just so my butt would be where Tommy's butt was, lol. The part about the "Mackey-D" cracked me up! How I would've loved to have been in that car.
OK, back to the show. Gaslight Heart was pretty good. Great sound, a lot of energy, and they all seemed really happy to be there. Whitestarr was great too. I've heard of them but had never heard their music before. I was anxious to check them out and, I must admit, I was not disappointed. Their dancer was doing his thing and fortunately, I think, there was no stage diving this time. Now the main event, Juke Kartel. The minute they took the stage the vibe in the whole bar changed. It was obvious what we were all there for. As far as I'm concerned, these guys can play anything and sound great doing it. Toby could sing the phone book and I would buy it. I couldn't take my eyes off the stage for a second while they were on. I absolutely LOVED Toby and Dale's rendition of Knockin on Heaven's Door. That just blew me away! The only bad thing about that was Tommy wasn't on stage (hehe). It seemed like every song they did was better than the last. Wish I could remember more details but I think my brain went numb from Juke overload. Of course, it coulda been the capt & coke, but I'm sticking with Juke overload!
After the show was sooo great. How great are they to stick around and meet everyone, sign t-shirts, and take pics? What a truly wonderful group of men.
Speaking of wonderful groups, it was amazing to meet so many of you. I can see why the guys said they really enjoyed the Fletcher's show. You are a fantastic bunch of women and I'm so happy to have met all of you that were there. It was a night that surpassed my expectations and I'll never forget it. I promise to post my pics as soon as I can.
The band loves their street teamers, and all their fans for that matter. They know how hard you all work and know you girls were out all week in the f*ckING COLD putting up flyers for them. They are so grateful...did you guys see Toby left us a little comment on the myspace page the other day? That show was JUST ABOUT SOLD OUT and it was all because of the MID ATLANTIC JUKE KARTEL STREET TEAM!
Street teams are integral to a band's success. We have a lot of fun in these threads but let's not forget that the work for the SN tour has not even started yet. We are getting together all sorts of promotional materials you guys will have now to convince people that this band is the band to watch for.
End of buzz kill lecture. Return to squee.
Hey all!!!! Thought I would post a few pictures tonight and leave the rest for tomorrow, as well as my take on the amazing experience. Let me just say IT WAS A NIGHT I WILL NEVER FORGET!!! The guys are so hot and sexy and yet so very kind and down to earth. There are just no words fit to describe them. I hate pictures of myself, so I am cringing as I do this, but here it goes...

I am loving the look on Toby's face in this one ;D
OK Here is my somewhat fuzzy memory of the weekend... Jaime, Amy, Lisa, and I left for Baltimore from NC on Friday morning. It took us a bit longer than expected, but we made several pit stops along the way. We had to do a lil shopping for something for the boys and you know how girls are. When we got to Baltimore, we checked in at our hotel, made dinner reservations and checked to see if any other street teamers wanted to join us, but nobody else was in town yet. Shortly before leaving for dinner, I got a call from Anita and she told me I won the Myspace contest and I just started screaming and ran next door to tell Jaime and within 30 minutes of checking in had already locked myself out of our room. Anita, I'm sooo sorry for screaming in your ear. After dinner we had to celebrate, of course, so we had a few drinks. Throughout the night, I would look at Jaime or she would look at me and we would say WE WON!! and high five each other. We had a great time and did a lot of laughing. Let me just say, it may not be the best idea to go on Myspace and send messages to peolple when you are a bit tipsy. I could tell Jaime was getting excited because when it was time to go to sleep, she wouldn't quit talking. I know she didn't sleep much that night.
The next morning when we woke up, Jaime was so excited she litteraly felt sick. We didn't get started street teaming as early as we wanted due to that and the fact that I just couldn't seem to get it together and get ready. So finally, when we did get our shit together and it was just me and her to do our assigned area of street teaming. I had printed 75 flyers, not really knowing how many to get because neither of us had ever done this before. I soon found out that that was not near enough, so if anyone is reading this who is doing street teaming, GET MORE!!!!
After putting up some flyers around our hotel we were on our way to Fletchers when we got a call about lunch at the Cheesecake Factory that came earlier than we expected. Since we wanted to finish and do our part, we choose to do some more street teaming as quickly as we could and be late for lunch, although we were really looking forward to meeting you all and spending some time with you. We asked the cab driver to please pass out some flyers to his passengers after telling him all about the boys and the show and he was nice enough to say yes. I hope he really did so and didn't just throw them away. When we got to Fletchers, there happened to be a lady locking the door and we told her what we were doing there and asked where it would be best for us to put up flyers. She got the manager, who was the nicest guy in the world, and he told us to come on in and check out the club. He was obviously very busy getting ready for an event scheduled for the afternoon, but still took the time to talk to us and help us out. He told us to flyer all the bulletin boards in the club, upstairs and downstairs, and to be sure to do the stairway as well. He was kind enough to let us use his staple gun since neither of us had one to bring along, which quit working so he gave us another one. I don't think we did anything to break the first one, but I really felt bad. After doing the inside of the club, we realized that we didn't really have that many flyers left and had no idea where to get more, so we asked him where the most important, high traffic area would be for us to put up the remaing flyers we had and he said between Fletchers and the other place you could get tickets that I can't remember the name of right now. We did what he said and when we ran out of flyers, we hopped in a cab and headed over to the Cheesecake Factory and luckily, everyone was still there. After lunch, we headed back to the hotel to get ready.
Finally it was go time!!!!
When we got to Fletchers, there were only about 10 people in line and it was close to 8 so we didn't stand in the cold too long. When we got inside, we immediately went to the bar to get what Jaime refers to as liquid courage. Kelley had told us to get her at 8:30 for the meet and greet, but when the time came, we hadn't seen her yet, so Jaime called and Kelley said they were running late. We were just waiting and drinking and I was enjoying the other acts when suddenly Eddie appeared, then Tommy who stopped to give me a hug and I told him my name and then Todd and Dale, and last TOBY who smiled that beautiful smile and waved and winked at me and I MELTED!!!! Believe me girls, what they say is true, he is even hotter and sexier in person!!! HELL, THEY ARE ALL HOT AND SEXY!!!!!
I'm gonna stop and let you all read this while I type the rest. I didn't realize that I had so much to say and I'm not the fastest typer in the world. I also have more pictures to share that I will try to post soon...
Hey, Nikki! It was so nice to meet your husband and sweet baby on Sunday morning. Tell him he has to say yes to keep his rep as a totally cool hubby! Seriously, I hope you get to go!
I've got a few photos from the M&G and after -- including *the* classic Anita and Nikki photo so far, I think -- but I'm still traveling so can't upload them yet. A lot of my pix are really, weirdly framed. Lesson: learn how to use new camera *before* you start drinking.
And can someone tell me WHY there is a photo of Rainbow (from Whitestarr's) arse in my camera?! I am so, so sure (well, pretty sure) I didn't take that!
It was a lot of fun meeting the guys in the band and talking to them. I am really impressed that they spend so much time with everyone in such an open-hearted way. They so get a wagonload of good karma bonus points for being genuinely nice and really talking to their fans. They were just as nice after the show, too, even though they must have been at least a little tired after.
And for me, it was so much fun hanging with you Mid-Atlantic Street Teamers! Thanks so much for making a visitor from the Left Coast feel very welcome. Big props to Anita and Nikki for being so well organized and enthusiastic and sharing the love. It was also fabulous to meet Kelley and Tina for the first time too!
Tamara, sorry you had flight trouble. Guess you didn't have to rush through breakfast after all! LOL
Thanks, everyone, for the pix and the memories, and I'll be back with my photos tomorrow or Wednesday, I hope.
Smooches!
OK I will pick up where I left of for anyone who is actually reading this...
When Kelley gave us the go, we headed upstairs with me leading the pack. I walked in and said HI and Tommy said "Hi Joyce" and hugged me again. I then introduced myself to Toby and he said "Joycey, it's so nice to finally meet you". He knew who I was, you all, and that is the one thing I told Jaime that I was hoping would happen. I then handed him the gift we got for the boys and continued to get hugs from each hottie. I sat down by Eddie to chat, and Bonzi if you are reading this, I told him you said HI and that he should get a Myspace page. Unfortunately, he said it just wasn't his thing. I also found out why Hottie Toddie doesn't have one. As soon as the hugs were done, Toby acted very excited to open the gift and new what it was as soon as he pulled it out of the bag. It was a bottle of Jagermeister in a bottle stocking and 5 shot glasses with a Baltimore logo on them. He initially tried to remove the stocking by pulling the bottle out the skinny end, so I had to tell him to take it off from the other way. He then put the bottle between his legs and removed it in a stroking motion ;) while saying "Yea, this is the size I'm used to"LMFAO Why is it that guys compare their exaggerated sized penises to everything?!?! And, as if I needed any encouragement to direct my thinking to that area. ;) ~Day dreaming~ Sorry, I'm back. Toby then poured shots for himself, Jaime, Tommy, and me. After our shots, we continued with pictures and since my first one wasn't real great, I got another one with Tommy and again, I have to thank Jaime for having problems with my camera thus prolonging our kissing pose. I thought I was going to freak out when I got to kiss Toby on the cheek and the look on his face is priceless(to me anyway). I have obsessed over him for soooo long and could not believe I was being hugged by Toby Rand and that my lips were on his cheek. I can't even tell you, because words can't describe, how I felt at that moment. The room was small and there were like 12 people in there, so there were flashes going off and shirts flying everywhere, but I did manage to get a picture with each guy and my shirt signed by everyone. The time flew by and too soon we heard it was time to go. I would have loved to have had more time to talk with each of them, but I'm not complaining and I knew that no matter how much time we had, I would leave wanting more. They were so nice and as everyone has said, they were soooo easy to talk to. I did manage to crack Todd up by saying "for shit sakes" to Jaime. He said he had never heard that before and he loved it. I also asked Toby if he would talk to my son on the phone and he said he would love to and to remind him after the show. I then said my goodbyes and thanks and went down for the show.
Jaime and I got as close to the stage as possible and were only one person back which was amazing. I think a lil of Toby sweat even flew my way and I have never been sooo pumped about someone sweating on me before. The show was F*UCKING RIDICULOUS!!!!! They absolutely ROCKED!!! The girl behind me poured her drink in my hair and down my shirt and I was having such a great time that even that didn't bother me. I can't believe how good these guys are and don't understand, what-so-ever, how in the hell they aren't already huge. I think I said earlier that I requested Knockin On Heavens Door at the meet and greet and they did it, so I was sooo happy. I loved the new stuff just as much as the old and I am dying for this album to come out. I don't know what else to say except the energy and vibe in that room was unbelievable. The boys had to be able to feel all the love and support coming their way and maybe that is why they thought it was a great show. I know I was giving everything I had and Jaime was too.
After the show, the line immediately formed for pics and autographs, so I kind of hung back and waited and that really paid off. I ended up getting to chat with both Tommy and Todd(separately) for a while and even went with Tommy to hunt for a souvenir for Chase(my son). Tommy wanted to give him the set list, but we couldn't find it. It was so nice of him to take the time to look and he will never know how much I appreciated that. In the end, Chase ended up with something even better than the set list because Toby kept his promise and talked to him on the phone when he was finally done with pics and autographs. It was between 1 and 1:30 a.m. and Chase was asleep, but believe me he didn't mind being woke up at all. Toby was so sweet and nice to Chase, but he did say f*cking again for the second time that night to a kid. We are going to have to remind him that maybe he shouldn't say that word to the young ones. Not that it really mattered because Chase admitted to me that he had a little trouble understanding Toby with the accent. He was so surprised and wanted to know what I had to do to get Toby to call him and I told him that I just asked. I'm sure he will be telling everyone at school today that Toby Rand called him. While Toby was on the phone, a club employee was being extrememly rude and mean and yelling at people to get out, so after Toby hung up and told me twice he couldn't believe how polite Chase was, I gave him one more big hug and thanked him for being who he is. We then left and went back to the hotel. The poor cab driver had to listen to us repeating our stories and squeeing all over the place. He did say he had seen something on TV about the show. Way to go street teamers!!!
Jaime and I eventually collapsed into bed at some point and woke up feeling pretty rough. The ride back home to North Carolina was a long one, but everything was worth it, including the endless hours I spent on my Myspace page.
I loved them all so much and I am looking forward to seeing them in February with RS:SN, but yet I'm kind of sad because I know that night can never live up to this one. I am hoping there will be another contest of some kind that I can enter.
THEY ARE ALL SO NICE, SWEET, TALENTED, HOT, AND SEXY!!!! If there is anyway possible for you to go see them, do so or you will regret it. If you are going to a show, it is well worth the effort to "Juke Out" your Myspace page and enter it. You may neglect a few responsibilities for a couple of days, but YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!!! I am just praying that someday they will come to North Carlina and I know Ballsy and Jaime are too. THANKS SO MUCH TO EVERYONE AT THE FORUM AND TO THE BOYS FOR MAKING THE CONTEST MEET AND GREET POSSIBLE!!!! I have a lot of pics to post and will get to work on them now. It was nice meeting everyone. You all take care!!! Much Love To You!!!!! :-*

I'm not sure what is up with the white thing, but since I was told Dale had the best ass of all, I had to post it for you to see and judge. Unfortunately, I didn't get to complete my ass collection because I didn't get a picture of Toby or Eddie's ass. Maybe when I see them in February with RS:SN, I will be able to complete it then.
Here's me and sexxay Jaime... (think Joyce took this one?)

OK, I am finally here and ready to post! *whew* I'm all downloaded and photobucketed (is that a word?) Here's some of what I got. First and foremost, Tommy. I think we make a perfect couple. Does anyone wanna back me up on this?

*poof*
Haaa ... I called in late to work so I could get these up. I just wish they were better -- hope you're not disappointed!
These are more or less in chronological order. I only took a few photos during the M&G ... was enjoying chit-chatting with Todd and Toby and Tommy and just didn't whip out the camera and make a Kodak moment out of it. Oops! but it seemed like the thing to do at the time.
Earlyish Saturday - posting flyers in Fell's Point:

From the meet and greet. The pix really start deteriorating at this point, because Tipsy Broad + New Camera does not equal Good Photos. :(
Tony from Whitestarr took this one!

Here's the last of them, of us mingling in the bar -- most are from after the show, but a few are during. I either figured out how to use the zoom late in the evening or was right up in everyone's faces with the flash. If it was the latter, my apologies! -- I blame the Jagermeister my friend Tali forced me to drink.
Anita, people are going to think you like to have a cocktail once in a while. We really need to work out some kind of sponsorship deal for you with Smirnoff Ice.

I have absolutely no idea how this photo of Rainbow's bum ended up in my camera. I have way too much respect for Rainbow to objectify him like this.

The aftermath ... Sunday morning breakfast at the Admiral Fell Inn (Nikki was there too). Everyone's looking pretty chipper considering how thrashed some of us were the night before.

I hope it's OK that I've posted everyone's photos here without asking -- there are others of y'all in this thread, so I figured you wouldn't mind. If it's a problem, message me and I'll take it down. Also, I converted these pix to low resolution for posting, but if anyone wants a higher resolution version for printing just let me know and I'll shoot it to you by e-mail.
It was such a blast meeting and hanging out with you all; the photos are bringing it all back! Can't believe it was just 5 days ago. I hope our paths will cross again soon. (((Hugs East Coast Street Teamers)))
Whoopsie -- forgot this one. Anita, you are going to have to make Smirnoff Ice an honorary member of the Mid-Atlantic ST!

Ok, I FINALLY finished editing everything from Baltimore and Harrisburg so that I can get prints made. While I was going through the Baltimore images again, I found a few more that I forgot to post:
