Hey Everyone - I just got back from the concert and we had an AMAZING time! I will give you a full run down tomorrow and i'll put up some pics of us in their dressing room...yeh we had a great night! and the boys are so lovely!

Before i go to bed here's a rather long brief rundown...sorry if i waffle - i'm excited!

we got there around 5.40ish and my friend mel and i met up with Judy and Simon (Toby's Brother) - i went and got my t-shirt and cd - so that i could go give out glow sticks to the ppl lining up already outside the gate. Many of them were there to see Juke and Toby and were rather excited about the glow sticks and tats

Everyone got fully into Juke and the glow sticks looked amazing under the night sky (Riverstage is an open air pavillion) - the boys commented that they looked amazing and were so gratful for all our help!

Juke came on and December and Throw it Away were awesome! the boys even chucked in a little ACDC. I think we picked the best place to stand as the Juke boys kept walking past us - Tommy noticed my Juke shirt and was like i love your shirt! and then Todd walked past noticed us and stopped for a quick chat!

Then Judy waved us over and told us that Simon invited us out back to meet the boys. We got to watch the last Supernova song from the side of the stage with Toby. There was no planned signing - however once one person noticed Toby and the boys standing near the gate everyone came over - i took some photos of it which you all will see soon - there was one little girl there crying when she met Toby - i took a photo of her and Toby and i told her it would go on this site somewhere - so Shae if i emailed it to you would you be able to put it up in a visible position - even on the Myspace page...she was so excited!

me and the girls starting giving out the amazing cards with Juke's websites on it to all the ppl waiting for autographs - Toby even signed a few before they were given out. We also did some recruiting for the Street Team - so we should have some new additions soon enough.

Overall it was an excellent night - i cannot believe how nice all the Juke boys were! Toby's brothers were so nice also.

I know they definitely won a lot of fans in Brisbane tonight - and many of them asked about a album and solo tour - which we said were on the way!

Anyways night night...speak to you all in the morning! I can't wait to show you all my photos with the boys! Especially with me sitting on Toby's lap - yay!

-Kerryn

Ok there is so much to tell so will just do in sections!!!

Firstly i got there to riverstage at 5pm and after talking to tobys brother on the phone and met him there(oh god thank you simion you helped me so much)and at that stage didnt know if the boys would be doing a signing or not and we decided to just go with the flow of the night...

Then as the girls arrived we started to do our job starting in the queue a lot of the people said that they were here to see juke so that was great and they loved the glow bracelets and tattoos

The boys plane was late so after supernova warmed up the juke boys let fly can i just say it was a privillage to wach the guys do there check its just feels so personal when there is only a few of you and the boys it sounded awesome...

The merchandise was going really well and we all bought a fair bit of stuff and i made sure to let people know where the stand was lol

Then the boys started playing and the crowd just went wild no one in there seats and the boys got the crowd going nuts toby has this unique essence up there and it just draws the attention and the boys just oze talent they really just mesh so well together and there styles really make them stand out!!!!

I just was so blown away that it took my breath away a bit and the fact that a few bourbons helped lol the boys played only 30 mins which was sad but thats the way the cookie crumbles

more to come judy

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :-X

ok then after the boys did there set and forgot to say that toby took cowd photos again and the crowd loved it its a nice personal touch and cant beleive how the crowd just laps the the boys up and everyone was asking if there was a signing after the show so i told them where simon asked me to wait and if there was going to be one it would be there

Then supernova came on and i moved to side of barrier near stage nnd listened to show security where great let me stay there and leave my huge bag of goodies lol

The boys started to come out from backstage and go mingle a bit with the crowd toby stood to the side of stage and whatched supernova play and one thing i noticed was when lucas finished a song toby clapped with one hand on his chest looked really sweet and maybe was just because he had drink in other hand lol

Lucas made reference to juke kartel and toby and got the spotlight on the boys in the crowd when he said jukes name the crowd went wild again lol!!!!

more to come judy

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Ok then simon came over to me (tobys brother) and said to get the girls and come wth him to the boys dressing room so we went backstage and simon gave us a drink mmm yummy beer lol then simon went to see what the guys where doing and came back and got us and said toby wanted us to go to side of stage and watch Woot woo lol so off we went and toby gave me a cuddle and thank us for all our work and just how much the guys appreciate the aussie street teams efforts Oh god he is just the sweetest person ever and just makes you feel so comfy around him.

Then the supernova guys did there last song and was awesome to see it that close all this silver paper was going everywhere

Then toby said come on guys and took us back to the dressing room just us girls and him so we really had a chance to talk with him and get some good photos!!

Can i just say when he sat behind me on the bench and had his legs on either side of me in my chair and his chin on the top of my head i just melted lol but then again who would not melt between tobys legs LOL!!!!!the photos turned out great and will post when water marked..

Then the other boys started coming in and got to meet them all as well but before i get into that will tell you about improptu singing they did at side of stage..

Toby and tommy started to sign things for the fans so kerryn handed out the awesome cards adelle did(the boys loved the cards adelle)and the fans loved it then the boys wanted to give som cds to some of there fans so i grabbed all the ones i bought and gave them to the boys to sign the crowd thought this was great and maybe an idea for future streetteaming to purchase some so they can pick out some special fans!!!

more to come need to go get my son back in an hour to finish sorry guys judy

Ok, my turn!!! OMG!! where to begin!!! IT WAS HUGE!!! My cousin and I got to the gate bout 10 to 6 last night and there was already a line up....got talking to some people around us and they were excited about finally getting to see Toby in Brisbane.
Judy came and found us and we got to go in and listen to their sound check...awesome...
After this my cousin and I went back out and started tattooing the line (had some comments asking NEXT time we did the tatts if it would be possible if the could be bigger)....again met some awesome guys who were there purly for JK....The Rand Wagon (Andrew, Anthony, Jez and Ben....see guys I DID remember!!!) Im still on an absolute high!!!
Eddie and the jungle beat!!! WOOOHOOOO.....went straight through me....but in a good way....at this point everyone around us (we were up in general admission on the grass hill....good spot tho) all stood up as ONE and started shouting for Juke....the glow sticks looked awesome from this spot.
Once Supernova did their set, my cousin and I made our way against the crowd down the the front of the stage and went BACKSTAGE (still pinching myself over this) and had a fantastic time with the boys. Simon is an absolute sweetheart. I got some photos....but my fav one (since Toby disappeared somewhere with Tommy....hmmmm) would have to be me and Todd!! My cousin and I had him captive for about 15 minutes outside alone. Just overwhelmed....i really dont know whatelse to say...but it was a great night and I cant wait for the solo tour to do it all again!!! The conversation I had with Dale is just repeating itself over and over in my head and the 'looks' I was getting from Tommy while we were waiting on Toby are forever implanted in my head!!
Judy did a fantastic job organising us!!! *3 cheers for Judy*
Will add more as it comes to me.....F*cken awesome night!!!!

Okay here’s my rundown of last night’s events!

My best mate mel and I got to river stage around 5.40ish. Judy had informed me that we were to go see the security guard on the gate and give her our names and we would be able to get in (we did that and didn’t get bag checked or have our tickets checked). We then met Judy and Simon, (Toby’s brother). Judy started giving us all the details that we had so far on what the night would hold and started planning out the tat’s and glow bracelets. While she was talking to us about that, Supernova came on for their sound check. I saw Gilby walk onto the stage and let out a little OMFG its Gilby! Then the rest of the supernova boys came on – it did take me a couple mins to figure out what they were doing and then I was like yay! we get to see their sound check! They sounded really good – while they were doing that I ran up the mountain of a hill to get my merch so I wouldn’t miss out! Then the Juke Kartel boys arrived and walked past us – a couple noticed us and waved – it was great to see them in the flesh for the first time!

We then ran out to the gates where people we already lined up and started giving out glow bracelets and tattoos – a lot of people were there to see Juke and some people even played me a bit of throw it away on their phone – as it was their ring tone! Therefore, I told them to be sure to pick up a copy of their CD as soon as they got in and told them about the fantastic shirts etc also (I got to model my shirt for everyone!). Once we had done everyone and were out of glow bracelets we headed back in to grab some more – by this time Juke had come on for their sound check and we decided to stay and watch...hehe! Once the boys were finished the security were talking to the people lined up as they were about to let them in. We positioned ourselves once again to give out more tats and glow sticks and everybody was fully into it. There was one bunch of guys who were all dressed up and they called themselves the Rand Wagon (we told Toby about them and he asked if we could go get them after the show so he could meet them) – they were an awesome bunch of boys!

Anyways once we had given out all the glow bracelets and put on all the tats we headed to our seats and waited for the boys. The whole crowd loved Juke so much! They all got into Throw it Away and December – and the covers of Rebel Yell and an ACDC song…can’t remember what it was – I took like two pics and a security guard came over and told us all not to take photos -  oh well! The boys were awesome and it was fantastic to see a heck of a lot of people singing along to most of the songs!

After Juke, mel and I decided that we didn’t like the seats we had and that we had a better view from the hill, so we decided to sit there and watch Supernova – half way through the Juke boys kept walking past and saying their hellos and stopping for quick chats. Then Judy called us down and said I think we’re going backstage. I was thinking are you freaking serious? So we went to the Juke Kartel dressing room – met Glenn their manager dude and another couple of guys and then Simon came back in and said come on girls Toby wants you to watch with him on the side of the stage – so you guys know what it’s like. It was awesome – as we walked out Supernova were playing Can’t bring myself to light this fuse…I think! and all this silver paper was floating through the air. We got big hugs from Toby and headed back to the dressing room – where we chatted with Toby – it was just Judy, Melanie and Me with Toby – how awesome is that! I asked for a photo and he said there was one condition – I had to sit on his lap! I was like well okay if you insist…haha! Mel and Judy got photos too – of them sitting between his legs. We then went back outside and I went to find the Rand Wagon boys – by then lots of people were gathering around the tent and gate near the side of the stage as they had noticed Toby standing there.

Then started the impromptu signing. The girls were going nuts over Toby and there were heaps of guys there too. Toby let the Rand Wagon boys in through the gate for photos and signatures (he’s such a sweetie). Then he continued signing things for everybody there. Tommy started signing things too but the security wanted it wrapped up. Before they left Toby was signing some things for a little girl who was crying she was so happy to meet him. Judy asked who had a camera at the ready and I offered to take a picture. It’s an awesome photo! While the boys were signing, I was handing out the awesome cards made by Adelle and the crowd loved them – I told them to check out the Juke Kartel Street Team sites.

After all the fans had left, we headed back out to the dressing room for a few drinks with the boys. We got photos with all of them and got cuddles too. Toby said that they were so lucky to have the best street team ever and they were so appreciative of everything that had been done at all the Australian concerts. So well done everybody! I cannot wait for the album and the solo tour! Simon (Toby’s brother was also extremely appreciative of our efforts – so I told him that for them we’d do Street Teaming any day!)

sorry its so long - but thats a full rundown - i know Judy will add in plenty more

ok guys

Then where 4 guys who asked if the boys were doing signing i had told toby before about these 4 guys in audience who where wearing home made rand wagon shirts and when we saw them in the crowd we gave them stickers to put on as well as tats and glow band ! anyway they had asked me if toby was going to sign and when i told toby about his fans he asked us to go get the boys so they came in and toby signed there shirts and got some great photos to put on fourm i think when we get these sort of followers we need to hang on to them because they really are a target audience Hey!!!

ok the signing went on for at least 25 mins and the boys were greatn they have a great attitude with there fans and it really pays off in the end we had a lot of interest in the street team and a lot of inquiries so that is great...

toby...Well to me toby is so friendly and seems really interested in the street teaming activities i was lucky enough to chat to him about lots of things and he speaks right to your face and love it when he says something that includes a touch to the arm,He is very proud of the whole street team and said that shae is just awesome and very very special lady so shae hats of to you the guys think you are the ants pants and got the same from each of them !!!

tommy...ahh tommy what a sweet heart he was so nice and loved the work everyone had done he had a great chat to us backstage and i can see why the girls want to jump him lol

eddie..oh he seems sweet was really happy to meet us he was full of praise and said they had loved doing the gigs you could just put him in your pocket hey...

todd.. sweet todd was in happy mode he seems to just love the band so much was happy to chat and loved looking out to see all the braclets and when walking through the crowd loved seeing all the merc on fans...

One thing i forgot to mention was that half way through the supernova set - people started throwing the JK glow bracelets on stage at lukas etc. Later on we were talking to Eddie and he mentioned it and we were chatting about whether that was good or bad or what...did that happen anywhere else?

When I was talking with Tommy, then later Todd...they both mentioned this and the fact that a couple of the sticks made it ALL the way up the back to Tommy Lee...JK Tommy said that some had ACTUALLY hit Tommy Lee!!!
Todd said that standing up on the stage seeing the glow sticks was amazing and that he had picked a few off the stage and was going to keep them along with his other souvineers of the shows!!

Hi guys judy here ok well just to wrap up my end of the review for you all the night was awesome the boys were so kind to us and where so thankful to all the street teamers worldwide, they cant believe the support they are getting from everywhere!! And you can quote me on this comment from toby he said "We have the best street teaming groups in the whole world for juke kartel"end quote he is just so impressed with you all so are all the boys, and they make sure that you know that!!!I also want to say the concert in qld worked out awesome i had great support from my team they worked so hard and respected everything i asked of them, when i was waiting on confirmation on some things from simon they waited it out without fuss, they showed the upmost respect to the boys when they were in the dressing room, and am sure the boys noticed that..Also for us in qld the situation was totally different to syd and melb and i think being the last aussie show we seem to have got all the icing so to speak, and i really felt for all the street teamers in the other states that didnt get the same benefits that we did,but i did try to pass on to the boys that you guys just support them to the top of the world and that you are the most organised and proffesional bunch of thingys ever!!They got the message lol!!!

Ok well for me the night was really special i got to meet all the juke boys and spend time chatting to each of them and enjoying a drink along the way, during the evening i got to say hi to tommy lee and lucas they were very sweet and lucas told me he loved toby to death so my street teaming friends that is my review sorry it was spread over a few days but hey i was stuffed lol judy

Hey All,

For anyone interested i was just on fasterlouder.com.au and found a review for Brisbane's concert.

http://www.fasterlouder.com.au/reviews/events/8343/

Thats the link...just quickly it states this about Juke's set

"The evening kicked off with Juke Kartel. The frontman of Juke, Toby Rand, was originally in the Rockstar Supernova. After placing third on the reality show, he was asked to join the tour as a support act for the Australian gigs.

Juke played a seamless support set with a handful of original songs mixed with a handful of covers. They finished the set with their well known hit Throw it Away."

Enjoy!

I am gonna check out the street press mags today to see if anyone has done a review

Hi Kerryn!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was just reading what you had to say about the Bris concert and the signing afterwards and stumbled across the bit about the girl crying...THAT WAS MY DAUGHTER...and reading what you wrote has started her off again lol ;D

She was so happy to get the chance to not only meet with Toby, chat with Toby and have that pic taken...she was also pretty happy about the hugs! lol :)

Wondering if we could get a copy of the pic? Have been all over the JK sites all week looking for it lol...can't wait to see it!!!!!!

Have the signed card and ticket ready to put in a frame with a supersized pic of Toby and Jess (daughter).

Thanks so much to all involved...and to Toby for being such a nice guy to take the time out to chat to a young fan. :D :D :D
