Hey folks - let's get out the vote for Toby - vote early and vote often.
We are waiting for the website to be updated at CLEO so we can do internet voting too.

This is a question that I don't know the answer to because I have never internationally texted someone.. but do we need to enter a country code like when we call internationally and does anyone know if it costs more???
I think you probably need a country code - I don't know. It makes sense - you need a country code for telephone calls.
ETA: I have looked it up and I show 61 as the country code for Australia - so you must enter 61 and then the text number.

Let me see if my phone can auto figure it out. For calling outside of North America, I think you have to add a 011 before the country code, and also, your wireless provider / plan probably has to support international SMS.
ETA: I entered the number as 011 61 199 445 56 and so far it hasn't rejected it, but I don't think it would tell me if it did. Also, my phone figured out when displaying it back to separate the 011 from the 61, and the rest of the number after the 011 61, so I *think* you might have to add the 011 but I'm not sure. (Also, my phone might not make me add the + because of whatever intuitive iPhone settings I have set for it right now... I know with my old cell, I had to add a + before anything even for within North America.)
Now I'm also not sure if it went through, is there supposed to be a confirmation response?

Also, everyone, I think it's important that we don't give ourselves credit for getting the votes. There are people (non-stmers) out there voting for Toby just because they love him, I'm sure that's how he'd prefer to be gathering votes.

You text TOBY to the number they've supplied for getting it on your wallpaper. You'll then receive a text with a link to the pic, go to that link through your mobile. The pic will come up and then you use your options or menu on your phone and an option to save as should come up. Click on that and save the pic to your phone memory. You can then get the pic from your album in your phone and use your options on your phone to use as a wallpaper.
Also at times the website may not work. I got an error often while trying to get onto the site and I also got the wildcard page many times.
I tried all the links given to me and it didn't work. Eventually I got the right page and then it didn't work again. You just have to keep trying and remember you can always throw in a couple of votes through your mobile.
I've been txting like crazy! One wonderful US person who I'm sure would want to remain nameless even sent me funds via paypal so I could sms vote on behalf of them. How special is that!!

Good on you, Paris. It's possible the txts will carry more weight than the actual online voting...not sure but we should get in as many of each as we can.

so I went to AT&T's webpage to find out about international texting.. it just said to use the country code plus the number and no mention of a + sign so that is what i did and got an instant response that it was an invalid number... so I used a plus sign and it seemed to take the text but I never got the wallpaper.. I wonder if they aren't sending it to international numbers... anyone not in Aus get the wallpaper???

My solution - at least what I did - find someone you trust - I chose Adelle - and PayPal her some money to vote for you.

Voting is working fine for me as well Melissa as it wasn't working 100% last night.
You will all find that they are only displaying 25 bachelors at a time and today is the other 25 they didn't show yesterday. You can still vote for Toby, you just need to go to the 50 bachelor list and scroll down and click on vote next to his name.
IF anyone is having problems today that weren't yesterday, this seems to be happening to others as well so don't stress, keep trying and you will get through. I'm betting that you will have no trouble tomorrow whereas I might.

If you cant get the pic, why dont you try saving the pic on the computer then transfering it to you phone via the usb cable that usually comes with mobiles... just an idea. hehe =)

There is a radio station in Western Australia that is promoting their DJ to win the CLEO contest - they are giving away tshirts, talking about it on air, having a regular campaign - we can beat them - but only if we keep a steady effort - tell your friends - vote often.
I was at my mum's this morning and I put the website in her favourites and told her to vote whenever she can so she'll definitely put some votes in every day.
Remember everyone..tomorrow Toby will not show in the top 25 because it will be the other 25 bachelors showcased...so it doesnt mean he's not still in the top spot...just not in that group.

I thought the same thing at first but then I realised there were 5 pages of profiles instead of 3 haha.
It's really great to see Toby's still most rated and viewed of all the 50 but that actually means we can't become complacent cos we're most at risk of it, being in a comfortable spot and all.
We really need to be consistent with our votes everyone.
Even if you don't have much time in the day or evening try and assign even 20 mins to punch at that vote button! Keeping at it will give Toby the best possible chance and save us from having to play catch up.
If it helps to tell people how well you've done or how many times you voted....pop in here and squee your head off lol. We'll all sing your praises!

I've voted a few times and need to do some more.
Thanks Donna & Tara - it's a long haul on this as we can vote until March 16.
What I find handy is to open the voting browser and minimise it if you don't want it getting in the way. Keep it there for as long as you're on the pc and while you're waiting for other things ie a diff browser to open or refresh....hit the vote button. It doesn't take up alot of speed as I've noticed on my slow pc and tho the votes may seem minimal....they really do add up, especially if you're on all day....like some crazies :whist:
