I can show a video first.
This is all thanks to my gorgeous Lana. She spoke to Toby before the show and said she needed to know when December would be played and he said 'oh yeah, she messaged me about that, make sure you're close by when it's on and I'll come and sing to her on the video call"
The video call didn't work but it was a blessing because then I wouldn't have this moment for ever and ever....

I cannot thank you enough Lana for doing that for me. I'm kind of glad in a way I wasn't there this weekend because I would never have gotten that. I haven't stopped smiling all day and I cried. Toby is an unbelievable human being and I have the greatest amount of adoration and respect for him.
Thanks to Dana as well for emailing it to me :)

Hey Shazza, as you suggested, I posted some pics of Toby and my son Luke (aged
7). He had a blast, but he did get a little impatient waiting for the Guys to do "December" and "Throw it away". Made his day when I spotted Toby as soon as we got there and he got to have a pic. Toby was so nice to him!

Before I headed off this morning I realised that the Card for our good Camera was stuffed, so I had to take the "cheap" camera. Then when we got to Gunna', I realised that the tape had run out of the video camera and I did't have a spare one with me, so again i used my "cheap" camera to video. I then had a brilliant plan to take some photo's on the Video Camera, but didn't realise there was no card in it till I got home! Then I swallowed a fly or too... eeek! But it was ALL worth it, flies and all! (So some of my pics are a bit "crap" in comparision)

Unforunately is wasn't that big at all, a whole lot of people vacated near the stage just before the boys came on because that was when Nova had finished handing out freebies.

Just got home from Dromana.
No review from me as I got the beach late and manage to catch the last 2 songs but they still rocked from what I saw.
It was great to see you all there...Denise, Adelle, Kel, Shez...Nikki I didn't know you were there. i missed you. Sorry hun.
I didn't take many photos (just 3). I enjoyed just standing back at the merch stand and watching them, absorbing the music and atmosphere for once.
It was a great afternoon for me. Even though I missed most of it I was happy to be there and see them for a bit.
Shaz - I am soooo happy for you. I love Toby for the fact that he made sure he grabbed Lana's phone just for you. Adelle video taped it with my camera so I'll make sure to get a copy for you as soon as I can.
Denise - Are you able to post just one of those photos you took of Lana and me with the boys? Just watermark it with your name....and make sure I don't look goofy in it. lol. Thank you so much for taking those pics. We've got some great shots but you have a whole heap. I'll PM you my address so you can send it to me on CD.
All I have to say is - I LOVE THOSE BOYS!!!!
Oh and Tommy and I had a little bit of a dance together while the DJ was playing. lol. He grabbed my hand and twirled around and we just bopped along together. That's the second time I've danced with Tommy and been sober...never again. lol.

Thanks Dana. I was stressing whether I'd get there on time. I'm not even going to say how fast I was driving. lol. I quickly dropped Nicky off with my mum at the holiday house and got changed right in the driveway (as in taking my pants off, putting my skirt on, taking my underwear off to put my bathers on). My mum had to tell me to go inside and change. Lmao.
Then the drive there, just as I got near the street to turn into, there was traffic so I turned back and went another way that I know. It's a good thing I know the area very well...no getting lost for me. lol.

I got totally lost getting there. Was devastated that I thought I'd missed Juke but mercifully I caught the majority of the show. Sorry to everyone I practically bowled over to get to the stage lol
A very short recap to put you in the know of their performance.
4 new songs, Thank God I heard them all. Everyone there will agree that "Hearts of men" will melt your heart when you are blessed enough to hear it. A real rocky song to begin with then Toby goes all soulful and harmonic. So so beautiful.
The guys had fun and Dale was ridiculously brilliant (is that an oxymoron? lol) He had a bit of a sing and wowed us with his lead.All the boys were just so darn good....aren't they always? Hee hee

I wish! I Got off work late and the friend I was with got us lost! We ended up in god knows where! LOL. It was about 3pm by this stage so we gave up and found our way home 2 hours later... LOL... So embarrassing!

I know. I drove past the Ferntree Gully Hotel last week sometime and Noiseworks are playing there again! LOL
I didn't even think to look at how much petrol I had... We got to Bittern or something and I had to fill up there and it was pouring down with rain! It reminded me of some horror film.. two girls stuck in some place - raining with no petrol... LOL

When you click on post reply Danni, there will be a little icon along the top of the square of what looks like 2 small mountains and the sun in the corner? Click on that and if you copy and paste the URL of your photo's in there (one at a time) that should work.

Danni - to get your pictures on the forum - you need to open up an account in with a photo hosting site. Most of us use photobucket.com - it doesn't cost anything. You upload your photos to photobucket - and then they have the image code right under the picture for copying and pasting here on the forum.
Danni, if you didn't mind me going to your pics section of your myspace page and posting some select ones, I could do that for you. And for copyright, it's a good idea to get them watermarked first.

It was no worry i was holding the phone in one hand and taking the pics with the other. Funny thing was almost every time I started to video on my phone you'd call and cut it out haha but its ok.
I have finally got the full 3-4 minutes on each video, for those who could'nt be there, I hope you enjoy! (Audio a bit "average" but I was standing about a metre infront of the speaker)

I got totally lost getting there. Was devastated that I thought I'd missed Juke but mercifully I caught the majority of the show. Sorry to everyone I practically bowled over to get to the stage lol
A very short recap to put you in the know of their performance.
4 new songs, Thank God I heard them all. Everyone there will agree that "Hearts of men" will melt your heart when you are blessed enough to hear it. A real rocky song to begin with then Toby goes all soulful and harmonic. So so beautiful.
The guys had fun and Dale was ridiculously brilliant (is that an oxymoron? lol) He had a bit of a sing and wowed us with his lead.All the boys were just so darn good....aren't they always? Hee hee

Ok here goes...
Just before I walked out my door and went to pick up Shezzie it began to rain and I prayed it would soon disapear, however it didn't. Most of the way to the beach it rained, a rainy day at the beach wasn't exactly what I'd imagined, especially since all through the week it was predicted to be warm. But then thats Melbourne weather for you, you know usually the day before or on the day what the weather would bring.
Details of Shezzie and I's trip there? Hmm
Well Untouched by The Veronicas pretty much was our song of the day having heard it twice on the way and then once again on the way home.
I didn't turn off the correct way around one of the many roundabouts we went around and we drove all the way back round it. Gave us both a bit of a laugh.
We were driving along Truemans road not knowing it was Truemans road found Limestone and turned onto it begining to look for Truemans Road then wondering why we couldn't find Truemans I did a u-ee and then discovered we'd been on Truemans road in the first place! This amused us greatly too.
Once Shezzie and I arrived and found exactly where we needed to be we found Lana*got our jugs tops and found out about Shazza's special moment* and stood with her at the Jugs merch stand for a little bit till we decided to make our way to the stage to get our spot and thats where we met Denise.
Once the boys started up I was of course glued to the spot. I was expecting Dana to call me for a cellcert and reception was terrible as most of you already know so the phone kept cutting out. So as I watched the boys, I snapped away with my camera and was answering my phone and texting.
I loved the gig at The Middle but something about yesterday I loved even more despite the atmosphere being even better * still can't believe how small the crowd was*
Typically Australian the flies were out annoying the shit out of people and Toby mentioned he wish he had some either fly spray or aeroguard *can't remember which* and motioned a spraying motion.
The new songs were amazing my favourite being 'Hearts of Men" these have made me even more anxious to see if any end up on the album.
A bit afterwards Shezzie and I made our way over to see Todd because Shez wanted a 'Toddie hug' haha. It was then she asked him if he'd seen 'the ad' he had and then went on to say how it freaked him out and thought it was weird and felt the need to change the channel when it comes on:biglaugh: Todd told us how they would be heading off to the States in feb and Shez told him how they'd be missing her 18th and Todd frowned and motioned a tear rolling down his cheek saying 'Aww tear'
Shez also had been talking to Tommy and he then looked at me and shook my hand introducing himself to me I wasn't expecting that and was offguard for a split second but I don't think it showed. Also heard Tommy telling someone the album would possibly be out May/June and he then gushed 'I'm really excited'
Then came the moment Dana now LOVES! We spoke to Toby and I asked him to write a note for Dana *which he knew was coming from a facebook msg from Dana* He obliged and then asked "Dana Campell? See I remember names!"
This was also where I got my first Toby hug for the day:wub: :gigg:
More talking about them missing Shezzies 18th and Toby teased she goes out drinking anyway so it was like she's 18 already haha.
A bit of standing around chatting and taking a few photos and then Shez and I decided to leave. Said some of our goodbyes.We debated going behind the barriers to say goodbye to the boys and Adelle who was over there too. Denise convinced us to and we made our way over. I also wanted to get some photos and managed to get one with Todd which I was of course laughing at his pose as Shez took it. We began to say our goodbyes as Jay, Todd and Todds gf crammed into Jays car with the majority of the gear.
We strayed off our goodbyes for a sec so I could go get my photo with Toby and after that he hugged us both saying he'd see us next Friday and as we walked back to say goodbye Jay's car came past with Todd grinning and waving to us followed by Tommy in another waving too. We then finished our goodbyes and made our way back to my car to make the trip home.
Ok well I don't think its too good myself but I hope it tides you over till a much better one *Adelles* is posted.
I think I've got everything covered.....if not....Shez you can add a little bit if you want.

Ok I will give a review.. This is a review with a 7 (just turned 7) year old boy on tow... here goes...
My son Luke and I had been planning on comming down to Gunna' for a few weeks. He had been listening to JK on his MP3 player that "Nanna" gave him. Woke up Sat morning and went online to check the "Rain radar". "Will we " or "wont I" make the 1 1/2 drive from the Croydon. Half an hour of "thinking" I decided... "stuff it" we will just go and if its pouring then we will just come home. Left Croydon about 11 am and as we headed south and passes Frankston, the weather was starting to clear. I had Luke talking NON STOP all the way there asking me so many questions. "Can I get my pic taken with Toby?" , "Will they sing December?" I told him to stick his head phones in is hears to get some peace! I got closer to Rosebud and My days spent on the Rosebud Foreshore every Xmas from Birth till aged 20 came flooding back. All I had to do was remember how to get to Gunnamatta. Had spent many hot summer days there. After a quick check of the melways I knew were I was going. We arrived about 1pm (after a stop to macca's in Rosebud). I was supprised at how few ppl were there. even the parking wasnt as bad as I had thought it would be. When we made it to the carpark, I saw Toby chatting to Denise. I have appologised to Denise for interupting) I told Luke to come over and say Hi, he siad "No, you go over first, he's your friend" I laughed and said no he wasn't really my friend. He came over and I chatted to Toby for a sec and then he gave Luke a vey cheery " Hey Buddy!" and asked him his name. I told Toby of Luke's fondness of Tattoos and Toby asked how many or if he wanted to get them when he grew up. We had our pics taken and Denise was kind enough to take my pic with Toby. Toby thanked me for making the trip down. I then had to take Luke on his first of many "toilet breaks". We then waited for the guys to come on. In the mean time I managed to swallow a fly or two. We made our way to the front and watched the team from NOVA hand out some stuff. I discovered that my vid camera had run out of tape and thought then I might take some close up still shots with it, but found out i had no card in it. But I managed to get some pics and vid on my "cheap" camera. The guys came on.. Luke kept asking me when "December" and "Throw it away" were comming on. Soon I said. He then needed another "wee" so i made him go in the bushes with me behind him.. I wasn't going to miss anything!
We had a great day, we had to leave straight after as my hubby was at work and my parents had my 4 year old son. Luke checked out the surfing at the beach. We had got about 2km down the road and it started to rain!
He wanted to make several calls on the way home to Dad and Nanna to tell them all about the day!

Well after a shaky start in which I had to figure out how to get the day off work to make it down there all was set to go..:squee: Anyway after having a very late night I dragged myself out of bed at 8.45am ,did the usual stuff & went to borrow my neighbours video camera assuring her I had a tape… From there I grabbed all my stuff & went to put it in my car & realized my keys were in the house which I had just locked up…:blush: Luckily my neigbour has a key to my house so trudged back there to borrow my key & then I was off..
Driving along listening to Juke Kartel to get me in the mood (as if I am never in the mood for them):wub: anyhoo driving along & almost at Rosebud it suddenly dawned on me I had left my already assured tape at home..aggghh :angry2: … so I had to stop at K Mart in Rosebud to buy some more..Problem solved..YAY:dance3:
Back in the car & of to Gunnamatta, arrived there & as I was walking up the rd I could hear someone jamming, walked into the area where the bands were playing & realized it was the boys… woohoo
Couldn’t believe there wasn’t many people there but I found Lana & went & introduced myself & to the other girls that were with her, one of them being Todd’s girlfriend.. Stood & chatted for a while then wandered over to the stage & took a few pics of the boys while they were doing their sound check, when they finished went back over to where Lana was.. I was a bit chicken to go over to where the boys were but I eventually decided I should go over to say Hi to Toby as he was the only one I had actually met in person , anyway as I got closer some other people beat me to him & he was chatting so I stood there for a minute or so but decided instead of standing there like a dick all by myself I’d go back later so I headed back over to Lana again & saw who was there relaxing on a banana lounge , it was Tommy, he saw me & got up to say hello & give me a hug :wub: , we had previously chatted via email so he knew who I was which was so cool & we talked for a while about his & Toby’s New Years holiday ( I was in the same area on New Years too but unfortunately didn’t see them:sob: ) then talked about them going to the US & the CD & stuff..Then I got my pic taken with him (Thanks Lana) & he wandered off.. I then walked over to the side of the sound tent to listen to the other band which was now playing & Tommy & Toby were on the other side, Tommy grinned at me but I decided to leave them to it.. Not long after that Angel & her family turned up & they wanted to go say Hi to Toby so we all went over to him & Angels hubby went & spoke to him 1st, then Toby saw me & gave me a big hug & kiss :wub::friend: & we chatted for a while, he asked me if I was well & I told him “No I’m sick, I had to have the day off work to be here” he laughed coz he already knew from an email.. He said “Oh yeah , that’s right ,you asked what time we were on so you knew when you had to get out of work” lol.. we chatted about his &Tommy’s New years holiday & he said OMG you haven’t seen the nudie pics have you… I said OMG no but I want too….:flirt: We then got around to having some photos taken & it was around this point that we were rudely interrupted by Nikki wanting Toby’s attention.. :madd: :gigg: :gigg:
After that we wandered around for a while & then made our way to the stage & the Nova team where there handing out prizes & I got one just for wearing a Juke Kartel T-Shirt :flirt: , they asked questions & it was like celebrity head, one of them was something like he’s Australian & he’s HOT so I called out Toby Rand , which was the wrong answer lol…:whist: Then they asked what we were the for & I called out Juke Kartel which apparently wasn’t the answer they wanted either ( go figure)lol:LMAO: … It was about then that Kel & Shezzie came over & not long after They were on stage..Yippee.. :band: :guitar :guitar They launched into Sublime truth & they were awesome as usual.. Toby did say something about needing a big can of Aero guard coz of all the flies..lol.. I video taped the whole show so I saw a lot of it through the small screen, their new song “Hearts of men “was awesome & I loved the acoustic bit at the end.OMG (well I won’t say how it made me feel):wub: :blush: :blush: Anyway enough of that, when they sang “December I saw Toby go down & grab Lana’s phone & take it back on stage , I thought OHH that’s for Shazz ..She’ll be happy haha:-*
I tried really hard to get Jay on film but he was obscured by wither his cymbal or Tommy…lol :biglaugh:
They did TIA & the crowd (well what there was of it) went off & Toby got someone to sing the chorus but I didn’t see who it was.. Then the last song Todd said he wanted to play something heavy & they launched into another new song “We fight with love” & then it was over.. Luckily as I had 2 minutes of video tape left..PHEW..
Not long after they finished Angel & her family had to leave & I went over to Ask Toby if I could have a set list as I wanted to try to make the video into a DVD, ( he already knew that coz I’d asked if it was ok)he obliged & I happily wandered off with set list in hand… I think it was either just before or just after that that I met Paris & Adelle… Then I walked around & took photos & went & stood with Kel & Shezzie who were chatting to Todd & Tommy was standing near us &Shezzie told me to poke him…lol :gigg: .. I obliged of course.. & we spoke to him, got pics taken & then we got Toby to come over again & that’s when he wrote that note for Dana…
After that the whole band got together for pictures, oh except Todd, he was holding a baby…. But he eventually gave her back a got into the pictures, then it was Lana & Paris’s turn to get in the pics with them, I had my camera on continuous shot for all of them so I got some good shots, with Todd & Toby pulling faces in most of them…lol:LMAO:
I got my pic taken with them & was stoked when Toby said “Hey everyone this is Denise” :wub: :wub:
Somewhere around then I spoke to Dale, Jay & Todd & got my pic taken with Jay & Todd.. With Todd doing his funny poses…:gigg:
The boys wandered back behind the barrier to finish packing up & Kel & Shezzie wanted to say goodbye but didn’t want to go behind the barrier, It didn’t take much prompting to get them to go behind there though…lol:rotf:
The boys all got ready to leave with Jay & Todd leaving 1st, I wandered off just after that & when I came back Tommy was just driving off waving & I’m not sure when Dale left I didn’t see him leave.. Toby had wandered off down to the beach but he headed back coz everything had finished down there, we all said our goodbyes & Toby asked if I was going on Fri & I told him I couldn’t as I had my kids , he said Oh we’ll work something out to do with them…Not sure what he meant by that…lol:shrug
He jumped into the car & I said goodbye to Paris,Lana,Adelle ,Shezzie & Kel & walked back to my car ..
As I was putting everything in my car the car Toby was in drove past with them all waving madly…:wave: :wave:
What an amazing day, it was great meeting everyone & the boys are just AWESOME human beings…
I ended up going to Angels that night for drinks & we sat & looked at each others photos & talked about the day & Angels Hubby was amazed that Toby & I were on first name basis….lol..
I think that above all was the highlight for me, that such an amazing person like Toby knows who I am….:hug: :wub:

Hi Tracie! There are so many flies here in Oz that I truly did swallow one or two. They kind of just fly in there when you are talking or breathing and next minute I've swallowed one...eeek! My boys have a really bad habbit of going to the toilet "anywhere" which is good sometimes and other times they just don't care who see's them. But I certainly didn't wanna miss one second of the guys playing!
