I was expecting them to be nice and sweet because of all I have heard, but they far surpassed my expectations! They are the best and I had the best time ever! The Greatest part was that my Family, my guys got to share it all with me. I met up with Shari and Kristin and we were in heaven! Got to meet some Hoochies too! Will write more soon, I promise!

Me with Dale. What a sweet man he is! Took this one for his wife!
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k302/Carealu/JKConcert047.jpg

The meet and greet was right before they went on stage. It was short, but very sweet! No complaints here! Toby did show me his wristbands last night. The red and black one is Marty Casey. He also has a leather one that he said a friend made and gave to him. At the end of the night I gave him a leather one I made for him that said Juke Kartel...
Ok Ladies, Here's Hot Tommy!

Eddie was a complete sweetheart. He really impressed us with his playing and his attitude! He's so young, but talented beyond his years and so down to earth and I aked him about touring in the van. It's pretty small for driving across the country. He said he was glad they were doing it that way. He said "You don't wanna start out in a big bus and get spoiled" Such a really neat guy!

Hi guys! I'm back from Kansas. I've had about 2 hours of sleep, so I'm not too sharp right now. Tina took the pics from the M & G and she's delayed because of weather, but she should have them up soon.

First, it was great meeting Cara and her friends. Cara is a sweetheart.

Like Cara said, the boys are just fantastic! They are all so sweet, funny, and down-to-earth. No one should ever be nervous about meeting them because you'll feel at ease right away. We took a JK-Hoochie pic, some pics of the band, and a few individual shots during the M & G. It was in a tiny room upstairs, and Todd joked about which one of us would fall down the stairs (for the record, no one did). The set was incredible, and we had an incredibly awesome time! If you get a chance to do a M & G, by all means DO IT! The boys love their fans and I'm sure they'd love to meet each one of us.

Hey everyone. I'm not quite sure what to write about the show. Might rattle on so bear with me, K? Here goes... We drove up to the venue and saw a white van and a tour bus out front so I knew Jk had arrived! We had to circle the block to find a parking space and I thought I'd faint or something. Shakin' so bad I didn't know if I could contain myself. Anyway, parked and then peeked in the door and heard Toby's voice. At this point I almost freaked out completely! I was with my hubby and son and we slowly kinda creeped in and stopped at the opening to the room because we weren't sure we could go in. By this time I could see and hear all of the guys and I kinda froze. Hubby got brave and I followed him into the room and found a seat. After a bit Toby saw us and waved and said hi, how are you doing, and glad you came, etc... Now, I couldn't even speak, shaking worse, and hubby is laughing because I musta been a real site! Smile almost pemanant on my face! To put it the best I can I was giddy and felt like I was in a dream! Toby motioned it was ok for some pics. I had to give the camera to my hubby(To be honest he took most of the Fabulous photos of the night while I got to enjoy everything!) since I didn't want them all blurry. Toby gave us a thumbs up pose and camera didn't work so, he was nice enough to pose again. We got to hear all the sound checks and warm up, and it was Fantastic!!! Afterwards, I completely thought I'd die on the spot when he put down his stuff and started to come over. I knew I'd probably be at a loss for words when it came time, but geez my very first words to Toby were..."Wow, you're WAY taller than I thought you were!" Brilliant, huh! He must be used to it because he was soo sweet and I got to get a hug right away. Oh my Gawd, thought I'd die. Didn't wanna let go, but didn't wanna scare him either! :) Then the other guys came over and I'm not sure of what all I even said. I bet it wasn't brilliant though! LOL I know that somewhere in there I told them I was their street team for KS, or maybe hubby told them that too...Toby like the t-shirts I had made that my son and hubby were wearing and he had them stand together and got a picture of them on HIS camera. That was too cool! We got those shirts signed and talked more. I was really impressed by how they talked to my son. They thought we were all brothers and sisters and said I didn't look like a Mom, too young. Wow! That was nice, I'm almost 40! :) They said they were going to eat and be back and that we had the whole night ahead and it was gonna Rock! Then they went to dinner. We stayed there to see the other bands do their sound checks...We didn't know if we'd get back in or have to wait outside in line. Didn't know how many people would show up so we kept our table and enjoyed the warm ups. I met up with my new myspace buddy/guest for the meet and greet and that was exciting. Then another myspace buddy showed up from Oklahoma. I have never done that before and it was really fun! They are both Great and we had a Blast last night together. Ok, that's not too bad a start is it? I will write more later on. Gotta keep you wanting more. Can't give it all up at once! :)

wow the show last night was absolutely amazing! I think we all had an amazing time. The guys were great, loads of fun! Thanks to them for hangin out and rockin out. My legs are killing me from all the jumping around I did. My friend and I drove up from Oklahoma and met up with Cara and her family(totally the nicest people I have ever met.) I have loads of photos that I will get up asap. Cara I have a LOT for you. ;D The meet and greet was awesome. They were awesome. Pretty much the best night EVER!!!!

So I just got home from my amazing time in Lawrence. I sat in an airplane with Tina on the runway for almost 7 hours. Let's just say my ass hurts. Bad. I wanted to stop by real quick and just squee for a few moments on my time last night watching JK for the first time. Holy. Shitballs. Their set was amazing...opened up with Firesign (hot!) they played Forever Young for us (hotter!); and for those of you who haven't been a big fan of TIA, let's just say that when Toby does the acoustic version in the intro and then they go into the heavier version...holy smokes it is rad.

Okay, I swore I was just going to pop in for a second so that I can finally grab something to eat for the first time in 2 days, but I had to come on here really quickly and tell you guys to go out RIGHT NOW and check out the rest of their tour dates and get your asses to these shows. They perform as if there were 10,000 in the crowd, but in these smaller venues you get so damn close to them you can literally feel the boys' drops of sweat from all the hair flipping they do. It is farking hot, I tell you. So say Merry Christmas to yourself and go see them in these smaller clubs. I also have to say I really enjoyed the opening acts. It was hard for me to concentrate on these bands when the Trifecta (Toby, Tommy, Todd) were walking around the club all night looking so hot, but the opening acts are worth checking out! :)

Okay, why am I still here? I can't even stop gushing over how nice the guys were, how HOT Eddie is on drums. The boy can work the sticks! Dale is a f*cken amazing guitar player and lives up to his reputation as one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He showed us pictures of his lovely wife Lucy and I think there may even be a picture of me with him that I'll go post. I was lame and didn't bring my camera to the show because I wanted to soak in everything. But now that I've come home empty-handed (waah), I'm determined to be a camera nerd in Chicago on Saturday.

Get yer asses to every show you can people! I can't emphasize that enough. And tell your friends to go, even if they have never heard of Toby or JK before. They are the nicest guys and really appreciate their fans...you can tell from the way they talk to you, and smile at you (swoon). They are especially appreciative of what Kelley and this Street Team are doing for them, so please get out there and spread the word, print up flyers, whatever you can do. I have to say it was way cool to see that Cara had posted a bunch of JK flyers ahead of time for when the boys came in...there weren't any for Whitestarr or Driveblind.

I'll post a few pictures whenever Tina's ass recovers from her whirlwind trip to Lawrence and forwards them to me. (Did I mention we were stuck on the runway for almost 7 hours today? The only entertainment we had were her pictures of us with the Trifecta. Ohhh, so sad, huh?) And be sure to ask Tina about her stagedive last night. LMAO.

Toby is dreamy. *sigh* I swear I'm outta here for now.

You guys...SERIOUSLY...they put on such a great show you will be on a high for a long time. My only complaint about the show is that their set seemed to fly by compared to the opening bands! Toby does all of his hot kangarilla moves, tugs at his t-shirt, the dog tags, works that mic like you wouldn't believe...Todd flips his hair around and gets so into the music that your jaw will drop watching him even while you are shaking your ass...Tommy and his arm porn working that bass is worth the price of admission alone. Next time I see them I'm going to go on Dale's side and watch him...he was amazing on that guitar...simply amazing. And last but not least is the little drummer boy (sorry, I'm tired and can't think of anything else) Eddie. They need to give him another minute or so for his drum solo so the crowd can better appreciate how awesome he is. It's hard enough to take your eyes off the front line Fourfecta (Dale, Toby, Tommy & Todd) but if anyone can do it, it's Eddie on drums. WOW.

You can't help but be taken aback by how good looking this band is, sure. But what will really send you over the top is seeing them live, especially in these small clubs. Holy. Shit. Balls.

Hello all, I am new so I will introduce myself. I am TIME (AKA Carealu's hubby). I am posting this for all of the boyfriends, husbands or significant others that are not so interested in JK’s looks, general hotness (otherwise known as CRACK as I have come to learn) that you probably cannot stop hearing about. So in response to Carealus girly pink point of view, I am posting the other side, the boys-blue point of view or as I am calling it when teasing Care, the “JK Blue review”

I cannot express how nice it was to meet a rock band that is so far from arrogant it is unreal.
Now what Carealu wrote was pretty damn close to accurate except she failed to mention she held her own better than she is leading on. I did think she would wet herself and pass out at first but she stayed upright and dry. We walked in and they were in the middle of sound check and Toby was talking about adjusting his balls. This I am sure was in reference to an adjustment on his mike, but however much Cara wanted to help, I reminded her she knew nothing about the sound board…. alas, this was not what she was thinking. At that point I wondered how the night would go. I have to say, these are the coolest guys ever! We walked in slowly and eased up closer. We were trying to be quiet as to not interrupt, and they waved to us and Toby said “Hey, guys”, and we must have looked stupid looking around to see if he was talking to us or not. We said “hey” back and Fl4tlin3 (our son) and I sat in a booth while Cara stood nervously trying to decide if she should take pictures. Once we decided the worst thing they would say was “you can’t do that” she got the camera out and started taking pics. All of which were blurry. I took the camera (before she drooled on it too much) and got a thumbs up from Toby to take pics (as they played “Throw it Away”) . As I snapped a few (trying my best Kelly Mullis impression, I failed miserably by comparison, She rocks) Toby gave me a quick pose. I missed….. so he did it again HOW COOL WAS THAT!? That shot is my avatar. Anyway. After the sound check they came over and started talking with us like we were old friends. Cara was giggling and trying to talk. I think Toby was genuinely flattered and was very kind. They dug our shirts (which Cara made). Toby and Eddie took some pictures of us (with the shirts) very surreal for me. The band snapping shots of us? Weird but cool. After about 15 minutes or so they needed to go eat and they took off. Cara was nervous and giggling and had a perma smile as she waited for her buddies. Fl4tlin3 and I loved seeing her that happy! Fl4tlin3 and I were digging Driving Blind sound check (they are very good but I think they do not understand HOW to talk to an American audience). We will buy their CD. Give them a chance. White Star was f- ing cool too. Anyway I guess I will continue the “JK BLUE Review” when Carealu posts the next part. More soon. TIME

Ok... after a long day of trying to travel home, I'm here and my brain is fried. I'll do my best to recall some highlights. The show was awesome. As Balls already explained, we were right up front rockin' with the boys. They played like they had thousands in the place. My special request for Forever Young was honored and it rocked the friggin house. I love that song!!Thanks boys!!

Balls also mentioned the stage dive. Don't misunderstand - I did not stage dive. I was stage-dived upon. LOL. Let me first explain that it was a small, intimate club. The stage itself was only about knee-high. Yet some guy decided it would be a great idea to stage dive off this mammoth stage onto a bunch of unsuspecting hoochies - or at least one unsuspecting hoochie. Balls saw him coming and got out of the way. I saw a belly flying at my nose and this damn pirate went down hard!! Thanks to the multiple margaritas that started at - what time was that?? - 2pm??? Followed by many many beers, I wasn't feeling any pain. Today my hand is several shades of pink, red, and purple (a lovely combination) and swollen. Thanks stage-dive dude!!! LOL But never fear, Hillmama got this pirate back on her feet fast and I was back in the game, rockin' with the boys. I'm not sure what became of stage-dive-dude. He could still be back there on the floor of the Bottleneck... not sure...

The JK boys were great. They hung with everyone from the time they arrived until the venue closed at 2am. The Meet N Greet was unfortunately short, but still great. Got some great shots that I will share later after everyone in them gives the green light to be posted online. I've got a new Street Team video from Tommy Kende that I will share soon. Its a good one, kiddies.

I just wanted to add a thanks to Balls for laughing her ass off at me on the plane to the point of tears streaming down her face as she relived the entire stage dive for me in grand detail - including the look on Toby's face as I went down. You're lucky I love Toby's Balls! LOL

Here we have Street Team Business in Action. Todd is talking on my phone to Kelley!! Its too bad we can't see her face on the other end!!!! ;D

My review part 2: Hiya again, thought I'd add a bit more...When I left off the JK guys had just left for dinner. When they came back in, they mingled with everyone. Had shots and beer bought for them and posed for pics, signed things, and talked. It was really Awesome. I've been saying that a lot lately! :) I kept waiting for their shirts to go on sale. Never thought that I'd just go back up to Hot Toddie and Toby and buy one and have them sign it right away! I got spoiled, and I liked it!!! It was a little bit of a challenge to talk to them with the other bands playing and everyone wanting their attention, but I did my best. All of the guys were Great, we did get to talk to Todd the most. He was soo nice. Talked to you like a friend. My two friends that met me at the venue had missed seeing them with me when I first got there. So, it was fun to go back around with them and see them meet them. This whole time my Hubby is soo Wonderful. Keeping our seats, watching our stuff, encouraging me to stay in there and keep talking with new people, and enjoying DriveBliind and Whitestar. Rainbow was a crack up! They were really good too, but I was getting anxious for the JK show!!! That's what we really wanted. At the same time, I wanted the night to last longer...Toby at one point looked at me and asked "what's wrong" I said "Nothing" and smiled, but was wondering when the meet n greet would be for some pics all together. The second band was well into it's set and I was afraid I wouldn't get to do the M&G. So, I decided to ask him if THIS was the M&G. he said "Oh, No we'll get to do that too" So, I told him "Awesome" (there's that word again) "Then I'm OK!" He laughed at me, probably thinking what's her problem with the M&G? I'm standing right here with her!!!! Obviously, I wasn't thinking clearly can you tell??? The M&G is next. Will write more later on. Hubby will post his blue review, the guys side of things later too...:)

OK....I have a sneaking suspicion that "Stage Dive Dude" was my buddy Stewart! lol Although I can't say for sure! If he was missing a shirt then it was him. I told him he should take it off & throw it at Toby & he did! LMAO And as far as no one falling down the Meet & Greet stairs, that is true. HOWEVER yours truely fell UP the goddamn stairs. Oh yeah....and Dale had to help me back up while laughing his ass off. So the bouncer laughed & said he was too worried about my trip "down", so I didn't get to go up! lol And in my defense...we went there the next day (someone lost her phone) & I fell UP the goddamn stairs AGAIN! SOBER.
So yes...I have broken body parts & bruises & goose eggs, but all worth it. The boys are FANf*ckINGTASTIC! AND FUNNY! And all HOT HOT HOT! I got to lick Toby & Tommy since they're on my Lick List....however Webby does not reacall these Shenannigans. SO I call a do over in Chicago! CSW, BALLS, V, HILLY....you guys are f*ckin awesome! My face & guts hurt from laughing so hard. Or I could've fallen AGAIN & gotten those injuries. Not sure! hehe

And WHO the hell said it was my Birthday? We can't figure it out...could've been me for all I know...BUt I got a Birthday shout out & got to go on stage. lol NOOOOOO CLUE guys! Webby's Birthday is in MARCH!!! LMAO I think Hilly & I should be separated in Chicago! She's an instigator & gets me to do embarassing things! :) Toby said he was putting me on the tour bus to be their entertainment...that's a compliment right?

It was a fun as shit time kiddos! Go if you can!

JK BLUE REVIEW PART II

First off thanks to all of ya who are digging my side of the story.
I did fail to mention one piece of information that is somewhat funny. Shari, (one of Cara’s buds) just missed they boys before they went to eat. So when she arrived Cara was beside herself and could not stop giggling. I believe Shari is going to post her view so I will not steal her thunder. I will say she is one cool chick (but she likes weird drinks ;))

As we sat and watched Driving Blind go through their sound check we looked around the venue. Pretty cool place. Relatively small. I would say the stage was maybe 40 ft wide 30 ft deep and sat in a corner of the bar. The “dance floor” in front of the stage was probably the size of a quarter of a basketball court. If you stood on the stage and looked out aka “The Toby view”, to the left was the bar. It started about 30 ft away from the stage and ran down the left wall all the way back. On the right, about 20 feet away from the edge of the stage were indoor bleachers like in a gym (kind of a cool setup). Down the right side, one step up booths ran all the way to the back. Mirrors all the way down on the walls. Straight out from center stage about 30 ft was “Hoochie Central” they sat on 3 bleachers about 10 feet long. Further back from Hoochie Central was a wall with pictures of all of the performers that had played there. Behind that wall to the right was the entrance. To the left of the wall, a pool table and darts and general bar stuff. Behind the stage was the “Artists loft” right beside the bathroom hall door. The entire place from front to back, side to side would fit in a high school gym. Nearly every wall was painted with graffiti and nearly everything was dark stained wood. It had that bar smell without smoke and the sour alcohol stank. It was dim not dark and the neon glow from the bar was as you could expect and the stage lights did not blind anyone. Now that may give you some reference points and a feel for the place. We sat in the first booth up against the wall by the bleachers (the right side from Toby view).

One of the funniest part of the night was watching the bands thinking they were headed to the loft and would go into the bathroom instead. All the guys did it at least twice

Anyway, as I said before the sound checks were cool and Driving Blind sounded awesome. Those boys are going to get some serious play. They did a cover of Paul McCartney “Baby I’m Amazed” that I think may have been one of the best cover song I have ever heard. I have to say one of because White Star did a version of Bill Withers “Use Me” that was so f-ing bad ass it was ridiculous! These guys can play! Now Whitestar was one of the most fun shows ever. They had their own Dancer dressed as Sheik “Lawrence or Kansas” (mocking of Lawrence of Arabia). Now I have to apologize to Whitestar because I did not know who they were prior to the show. But I tell you what, I am a fan now. These guys are a riot party band. They reminded me of the Black Crowes with a little Aerosmith add a dash of Guns and Roses wrap it all in a classic rock coating with some soul icing and … deeelishh rock and roll.

Rockinjknok and her friends came in during the sound checks and they sat in the booth beside us. Rockinjkinok was pumped you could see her ready to burst at the seams. By the way you have a kick ass tat on your lower back. Anyway very nice to meet you even though you cannot save a seat worth a …. (wink) just messing with ya, it was just a seat and we got it back anyway.

JK found their way back in while Whitestar was doing their sound check. At that point Carealu and friends were gone to talk with the boys. Fl4tlin3 and I were seat savers for the next couple of hours.

This was probably a boring post for you JK Crack hunters but stay tuned. Remember Fl4tlin3 and I were probably the only sober people in the bar, we remember everything and we love to people watch… and tell.

Coming up next time. M&G, hoochies, drunk guy, Todd and I talk and my view of the infamous stage dive.

Ok, It was time for the M&G! It was right before the guys were to go on stage. We got to go to the band room which was a small, cozy, graffiti and sticker covered room upstairs. As we started to go, Hott Toddie came back to our table and got my son and hubby and told them to come too. I was soo happy they got to go up there with me! :) There with me was JK, my son and hubby, my 2 buddies, and four of the Hoochies. So when we got upstairs Todd was worried about somebody falling down the stairs because they were really steep. We laughed about that for a minute then got to take pics. Not much time up there at all. I'm not complaining. Just wish it was organized a bit better. The meet `n' greet was short & sweet! Didn't really get to talk at all, which would have been nice because it was pretty quiet up there. Downstairs you had to fight for time with them and it was hard to hear. You would just get to talking and somebody else would come and steal them away. I, of course wanted them to myself! ;) Just like everyone else! It isn't until later or the next day you realize you didn't ask what you wanted or thought you had a picture with sombody/something and you didn't. I wish I would have thought about what I wanted to talk to them about before I got to the show, but I was way too nervous! So, the M&G was over too soon. I'm not sure how long we actually had, but it flew by. Felt like about 10 mins. The JK Guys were very generous with pics in the time we did have. I was really lucky to have the M&G with them in such intimate quarters, and the memories will last me a long time. I definitely wanna do it again!!! :) After that, the guys had to get ready to go on stage. So, we carefully made our way down those killer steps...

I forgot to mention earlier that since I had won the M&G for most Juked-Out site for the Lawrence, KS show, Tina gave me some really cool dog tags that she and Kelly got for the winners. Another reason to enter! They are black with silencers on the edges, one pink, one black, and they say JK Street Team. They are Awesome and I love them! Thank you ladies!!!

Just to clarify....Cara did not get those dog tags for winning the myspace contest. She got them because she is such an outstanding street teamer. You guys would not believe how much she is doing for the band. She is a power of example for me, for sure. We wanted there to be a way for the boys to identify the really outstanding fans who are working their butts off. Cara was the first to receive them, along with the mods for this site. We have plenty more for those of you who are doing what Cara is doing.

JK BLUE REVIEW Part III

So we enjoyed the Whitestarr show and then Driving Blind came on. Great music, sounded real good but they were just kind of boring to watch. About 4 songs into their set, Todd caught my attention from across the room and pointed at me and Fl4tlin3 and waved us over. Carealu and Shari were already mid beeline to the loft area. We collected all our stuff and wandered over to the stairs to go into the loft. Todd told us to be careful because the stairs were steep and “a killer”. We had to wait for a few minutes because there was a person that had a few too many that needed a rest. The bouncer had placed her there to rest a second. Once the stairs were clear Todd took me and Fl4tlin3 up to the artists’ loft. As you can see by the posted pictures it was very small and graffiti on every wall. The boys sat up on the raised area and talked a few minutes about how much they appreciated the street team members and all they do. They singled Carealu out because she is not only the coolest person in the loft but she is the Lead Kansas Street Teamer. She got to sit with the boys and get pictures taken. Those are the ones you see where Toby is holding her face. Again the most they are the most respectful and non arrogant rock band ever. I am not kidding when I tell you these guys could be school mates, neighbors or anyone you might meet in Wal-Mart. In fact Todd and I were talking after the show and he actually did meet and talked to a woman in the Lawrence Wal-Mart who came to the show. Anyway, pictures galore. One of the guys said that “the best picture would make it on the site”. I am not sure if was a JK boy or not and what site I dunno, but I tried very hard to get the best shot and we got it sent in, so ya never know. The opportunity was very cool, the loft was small and they did some posing for about 10 minutes or so. The JK tour manager then had to take Eddie away to get his kit set up. He very graciously bowed out. He was very excited to play the show. The M&G lasted about 10 more minutes. Lots of different pictures and giggling. I had one pic taken which was posted yesterday. Me and Toby. I felt a littlle silly but hell it was cool. I got the Bull S#!t picture on my phone. The guys know what I am talking about but for you girls; the BS picture is the one you get on your phone so when you tell your buddies the next day, “sorry I am sooo out of it, but I did not get a lot of sleep last night, I partied with rock stars.” And they say “Bulls#!t!” The proof is on your phone camera. And to answer your question, yes I did use it the next day about 10 times. I am so cool (actually I am a dork I know). Anyway, the manager said it was time to go the show was about to start. He gave us about 5 more minutes and we walked down the “killer” steps.

Next up: the show and afterwards. Cara and I want to get this finished up so the Illinois street team can have the floor after the Chicago show. More to come….

Friend version Part I

Ok ... it’s only taken me a couple days ... but better late than never ... I’m new at this too and not sure what to write … but will do my best to recall the FN AWESOME evening with JK in Lawrence … I’m Shari … Cara’s myspace buddy/M&G guest. First of all I was so bummed I got stuck in traffic on my way over to Lawrence and missed the guys doing sound check and talking with Cara … was about five miles out when I called her to let her know I’d be there soon … she told me she was standing there talking to Toby and Tommy and to hurry up … I freaked … surprised I didn’t get a speeding ticket … but with the traffic SPEED really wasn’t an issue … Cara met me out in front of The Bottleneck and told me the bad news … wouldn’t you know it … they just left to go eat … stupid slow @$$ drivers … >:( we went inside where I met Cara’s hubby and son … they are so sweet and fn cool … we had fun joking around (Cara was still giddy) while the other two bands did their checks … they sounded great … I liked the Paul McCartney cover too Time … oh and that drink was NOT my choice … Coke will never be the same … ;D ... well it seemed like forever … but wasn’t too long and the JK guys were back … they mingled and talked with everyone … signed anything and everything they were asked and took pictures like crazy … they are such wonderful guys … all of them … very approachable and you can tell they really appreciate their fans 8-) ...

Will write more in a bit ...

Friend Part II
I met Toby first … bought him a shot … he was sooo nice … very easy to talk to … so ladies don’t be afraid … he’s VERY sweet … Cara took a pic of me with him on my cell phone … which is now my main screen pic … mmm nice … then we moved on and I met Tommy … so funny … he was tryin’ to do a southern drawl “Y’all Come Back Now“ … I believe he was makin’ fun of me a bit because it was hard to hear while the other bands were playing and I didn’t understand him when he said “Hi … are you well” … I know … I’m a dumbass … just used to “Hi … how are you” I guess … then I met Todd … oh Hot Toddie … he’s a riot … talked to him the longest … great guy … BEAUTIFUL SMILE … hubby called while I was talking to him to see how it was going … he’s the best … stayed home with our 18 month old daughter so I could go see JK … sweet huh … I could barely hear him so didn’t talk long … he then sent me a text message to remind me I’m married LOL … sooo Todd being the funny guy he is wanted to text him back … and of course I let him … it was great … this became the joke for the evening … briefly met Eddie and Dale … but was too loud to talk so agreed we could chat later … about this time I finally met Cara’s other myspace buddy … Rockinjknok … she’s too funny and full of energy … we saw that Todd was getting out the T-shirts and setting up so Cara and I went up and bought our shirts … had the guys sign them … the text message came into play again here with Toby getting in on it … he sent message to hubby … it was a good laugh … loads of fun … but Cara and I were wondering about the M&G … so we asked Toby … he said oh we’ll get to that … there’s still lots of time … don’t worry … big smiles across our faces …

Cara ... you and hubby are waaaay better at this review stuff ... miss y'all ... when are we gonna do this again?

Friend Part III
M&G FINALLY!!! … the guys were too funny with their poses for the group shots and the ones with Cara … then Cara got some GREAT pics of her own and was just giddy … it was so cool to see her having so much fun … then she and her hubby took a few of me on Toby’s lap … we all got to talk with the guys for a short time during the M&G … it was pretty crowded … lots of peeps trying to do too many things … kinda disorganized … but was still a GREAT time … the guys were AWESOME (see Cara I’m using that word too) … they all seem to be up for anything … lots of pics … signing stuff AND I asked Toby to do a little speech so I could get some video of him talking (love the aussie accent) … but my cell was dying by this time and wouldn’t record … Toby was a champ … kept trying to get it to work … but we failed over and over … SO our new Ok buddy … Rockinjknok … got the video … at least I hope she did … I’ll be expecting you to send that to me too Rockinjknok LOL … Toby and I tried to record one more time on my cell and it still wouldn’t work so Toby then took my phone and saw a pic of me and Jared Allen of the KC Chiefs on my screen and thought that was hubby … his comment was too funny and at that moment I believe he was somewhat regretting the text message he had sent earlier to hubby … his comment was in reference to Jared’s size and how’s he’s not messin’ with him … any of you who watch the Chiefs know Jarred is Kind of a BIG GUY … LOL … so the M&G was short and sweet and we made our way back downstairs so the guys could get ready to ROCK …

Thank you Cara and Time for the wonderful pics!

Thought I'd finish up my story...After we came down from the loft. My family went back to a seat to watch. Me and my JK chickies went front and left center. Planted ourselves directly against the thigh-high stage between Toby and Dale with a direct clear view of Eddie in back and Tommy and Todd on the right. Couldn't have been any better. We were practically ON the stage. Now, I get blurry as to the set list. You all will have to ask Tina or All Juked Up. They could probably tell us! I was in a dream state and kinda in a sort of shock. I know they played Throw It Away, they started it acoustically, and then Rocked it!!! They did Robbie's Song, Money Love(December), Save Me, Firesign, My Baby, No Long Way or Bring Me Down Otherwise???? I dunno. Too Hazy. It still feels unreal to me, but I know I want more! Shari kept looking at me like, are you OK? I was LOVINNNN' it! My other buddy rockinjkinok was a complete crazy woman! So, excited she jumped the ENTIRE show! Are you still sore by the way??? It wouldn't surprise me! I can't even tell you how long they played...Flew past to Fast! The music was AWESOME! Eddie was sooo goin' crazy on the drums. Tommy, very good and sexy on the bass. Todd was a hair flippin, guitar pickin' Hottie! Dale was showin off for us, expertly slidiing Toby's Microphone and microphone stand on the strings. Toby pulled his shirt down, you know with his pout like he does AND pulled his shirt up showing us the V thing (Oh my Gawd! Coulda fainted). He leaned over at one point, between us, singing. I grabbed onto his arm of course. Wouldn't want him to fall! He was really energetically jumping around and playing to the crowd. He even took drinks from his water and sprayed Eddie and I believe some fans. So sexy and fun to watch. I have never seen a more energetic performance ever! There were a couple of mistakes, no big ones, but it just made them cuter! At one point, we even had a stage diver. Funniest thing I've seen in a long time. The stage had to only be like 2 1/2 feet tall! He really cracked me up. He must of launched himself at people a whole 4 ft! LOL It wasn't until later we realized he had tackled a hoochie! One of the hoochies I got to meet earlier that night. Hope you're recovered for the next show! Had a Rockin' time! Afterwards, most bands thank everyone and disappear. Not JK! They came down and mingled the rest of the night. More pics, more autographs, and we got to talk to them, finally! Well, most of them. Todd spent at least an hour talking to hubby. He then went around and talked to the others. The whole first part of the night was ours and I felt good that he got to talk to the guys after sitting at our tables all night. He made his way over to all of them and had them sign flyers we had made. We talked to Eddie for awhile and Dale. Todd we had talked to lots earlier. Toby was sitting between us, but got stolen away. Everyone wanted to buy him shots. He didn't make it back over to us. Closed the bar with them at 2:00am when The Bottleneck finally chased us out. There weren't too many people left, but we all moved outside with them as they were getting into their van. We got final hugs, thank you's and goodbye's in. I'm sure I'm missing things. Hopefully one of the others will fill in my gaps! Best Night EVER!!! If there's ANY way you can go to a show....GO!!!!

JK Blue Review Last Entry

We came down from the loft and took a seat on the bleachers next to where we were sitting earlier. The management announced that no one could take photos during the concert. No cameras, phones, recorders or anything. Bummer. It was only a few minutes before JK took the stage. I do not want to go into too much detail about the concert because I could never do it justice. I do want to mention a few things. First and foremost Eddie is a badass, B-A-D-A-S-S on the drums, absolutely amazing! Dale and Todd are awesome on the guitars they remind me a little of the terror twins (the early years) they way they compliment each other. Tommy can lay it down boy, just flat f-ing cool. Oh ya the lead singer guy was pretty good too. Nah, way better than pretty good. Toby is the S#!t! He was all over the stage, standing on the bass drum, went into the crowd you name it he probably did it. It was just flat out awesome. They have fun which made everyone else have fun. The Hoochies kept bringing them shots and they kept on drinking (except Eddie of course he had to have water, he is only 20, the laws here suck huh Eddie.). One highlight in the show was the drunk stage diver. Ok I have to say that I was far enough away that I could not see who it was, but I could tell the guy was not thinking. When he dove into the crowd he did not even clear the needed shoulder to hip height ratio. It looked more like a linebacker sacking a quarterback while blocking a pass. The QB being a hoochie, they both crashed to the floor causing the band to first see if they were alright and second laugh their ass off. Later it was one of the girls birthday and they brought her up on stage and sang “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” to her. Sadly I heard later that boys were duped, it was not her birthday. Overall the show was fantastic.

After the show they guys hung out in the bar. Todd and I talked for like an hour and a half. People kept coming up and getting autographs and stuff but he never stopped his conversation with me. We were talking “behind the music” stuff. Not surprisingly he is a huge fan of INXS and the album Hysteria by Def Leppard (that most definitely put us on common ground). He was saying their album comes out (hopefully) in February or before. Toby still has to record like 6 tracks. We talked about producing and writing, the Van and Whitestarrs’ bus, myspace, the Rocksatr INXS and Supernova shows, Lucas Rossi, Tommy Lee, and a bunch of other stuff. I asked specially about the pictures and recording of the concerts. My thought was “the more stuff that can promote the band the better” right…...wrong. What happens is the boys play a concert and footage ends up on youtube, myspace, or wherever on the net. People steal those photos, footage or bootlegs and in some cases post them on the net on their site to promote there own agenda. JK does not see a dime. Even worse is this tour is costing them money it is not a moneymaker by any means. Think about it for a second, their album is not out yet. These guys are touring America (a dream of theirs) and they are paying for it themselves. They are not even signed yet. Please if you are interested in really helping them out, mark your photos and don’t let them get stolen by someone who wants to sell them. The very first post on this thread by Kelly says “PLEASE DO NOT COPY THE PHOTOS IN THIS THREAD WITHOUT THE EXPRESS CONSENT OF THE PHOTOGRAPHER EVEN IF YOU PLAN ON GIVING THE PHOTOGRAPHER CREDIT.” That is part of the deal. Anyway enough preaching, mark you photos so no one can make a buck off them and give the photographer credit. Todd was very, very cool and it was a conversation I will not forget.

The night ended at two when the Bottleneck closed and booted us out. We left after all the “hugs and stuff” I shook hands of course. The guys piled in that little van and headed out. We said goodbye to Shari, Rocknjknok and friends, the 4 hoochies and others.

Guys if you are on the fence about seeing them f-ing go. Get there early and stay late. These guys are cool as hell!
I know the really appreciate the support from the hoochies, Internet fans, and of course the Street Team members. Please remember they are touring to get their name out there, help them out. They are very approachable and appreciative. We will definitely go again. DON’T MISS THIS SHOW! Chicago ENJOY!! Buy the boys a pizza and save them a buck or two.

TIME OUT

Okay so I am going to try and be as crafty with my words as Carealu and Time. We will see what happens. Tuesday, November 28th, first thought waking up.....Today is going to be great, I can feel it. Just have to get to Kansas for that to happen, so let's fast foward past a long day of driving and convience store stops. Welcome to Lawrence says the sign, which means mapquest comes through again. Last stop of the evening before going to the hot spot, another gas station. Yeah, so I had to change clothes and put make up on in a gas station rest room, hot huh? It was very clean, actually. After putting my face on, I give Carealu a call, make sure I am on the right path and she is there. Yep, she is there and I am almost there. Park the car, walk up to the venue, read the sign on the door that says opens at eight, its only like 7:20. Being the rule breaker I am, my friends and I go on in. Kinda nervous once we got inside, didnt see many people and wasnt sure what to expect. First introduction, Carealu and her family, great people, absolutely awesome. Said they had already got to meet Toby and the guys and that they had left to grab a bite to eat. So we sat down at the table next to them and waited. Watched Whitestar do their soundcheck. We were the only ones there for a while, finally more people started to show. Now Im getting a little anxious and even more nervous, Im kinda shy when it comes to meeting people, especially rockin, hot guys. Tagged along when Carealu and Shari went to meet some of the hoochies, some wild women, super nice. So a little later, Im setting at the bar about to order one of the many Red Bull and Vodkas of the evening, guess who walks up, none other than Tommy himself. I say, well I forget what I say, probably something along the lines of omg you are Tommy and very hot. We chatted for a bit and I ask him if its okay to take a pic, yes, he replies. I run back to my seat to get my camera. Oh, yes there were very many pictues taken that night. Dont want this post to be novel length, so I will do some more in just a sec.... am I doing okay, Carealu?

So I go back to my seat after chattin up Tommy. But before I can set down I notice this hot little drummer boy setting all by his lonesome on the bleachers. Couldnt very well leave him there, I jog my mind for a great pickup line...."Is this seat taken?" How is that for a good laugh? Talk to him about being away from family and in a new country, all that good stuff, super nice guy.Another photo opp. Get back with my new buddies and we go mingling. If I remember correctly we talked with Toby first then Toddie.I think Shari shared a nice shot with Toby. Oh yeah, by this time my nerviousness was gone, due in part to the guys being too awesome and easy to talk to and also in part to my liquid courage. All of the merch was over in a corner, had been waiting all night for someone to be over there so I could go get my shirt. My cashier was Todd, craziness, then Toby came over, they all signed our shirts, more visiting, more pictures, more booze....... Soon comes the M&G

am going to move this along so we can get ready for the Chicago reviews........If you didnt know by Time's review Im a horrible seat saver, but in my defense, that's only because I went upstairs to the M&G with them. Yes those stairs were killer, but I am pretty sure everyone made it up okay. The area was very small but that just made us all a little closer, which was okay by me. The guys talked for a bit and thanked everyone then Carealu got to take her pics with the guys, very cute pics. I still need to send you some. After the photo session everyone just mingled. This is where the video Shari was talking about comes in. She and I were setting there and Im not sure how it happened, but I got Toby on video, telling us how appreciative they were that we came out to support them and all.....then, THEN, he gives me a tit shot and a shot of the V. How nice of him, thanks Toby. Now we have to get back down stairs for the show that kicked so much ass!!!

Everyone gathers and crowds around the stage. And then is starts, the show and the jumping. I jumped the entire show, my legs hurt so bad the next day. I cant even put into words how freaking awesome the show was, like seriously I am at a loss. All I can say, is that each one of them brought somthing spectacular. I agree with the others, Eddie's solo could have been a tad longer. Everyone was up there in it the whole time, the audience and the guys. The guys played their hearts out, rocked it like they were playing to a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden. After the show was over, they hang for even longer. These guys cant get enough of us. One thing that I remember very well, is that Toby's armpits smell AMAZING, even after the show. We were standing near the bar and I smelled something and as I sniffed him up I said what is that smell? What did he have on? He took a whiff of himself and said its just me, so I responded as Im sure any lady in her right mind would with..."oh man, I definitely need some of that." After many more pictures, laughs and alcohol, sadly enough, it was time for our night to end. It was 2 o' clock and the Bottleneck was giving us the boot. Everyone crowds outside and we all say our goodbyes, and send the boys on their way to rock the rest of ya's.
I gave it a try, not as vivd as some, maybe thats cause I waited to long to post, but there is my review. GO, GO, GO to a show. Show these guys the love and support they deserve. They are the most awesome bunch of guys, they will rock out and are super nice. Many memories were made. Met some great people and made new friends, best night of my life. Cant wait to hear what happened tonight in Chicago.

Well here is another review of the show. I got to Bottleneck at 9:00, with my boyfriend and my brother. I am only 13 and the show was 18 and above, i knew this before i went but i wasn't going to pass up a chance to see Juke Kartel live. Well my boyfriend is 16 and my brother is 18. My brother, Shane, always does this for me. They asked for ID Shane showed them his, then Vince, my boyfriend, showed them his. They were like this is an 18 and up show you can't come in. We had pre-ordered our tickets. Shane was like well on the site we bought these tickets on it said it was an All ages show. The guy was like no none of the sites would have said that. Then he was like the girl needs to show some ID to. Shane said, she is only 13. Then he was like you can't come in. Then Shane said, man we already bought the tickets, it said on the site that i it was an All Ages show. This went on for like 10 minutes. Then finally we came to an agreement, we would pay double. Of course we all go the X's on our hands. We were finally in. We found a booth and we sit down. There is a nearly empty glass of beer sitting there and this guy comes over and checks our hands and nearly kicks us out for 'drinking underaged' At about 9:30 Whitestarr starts playing, and Juke Kartel still is there. Then at like 9:45 they come in. I am the first one of my group (my bro and bf) and i start like freaking out. They were both looking at me like i was crazy. So i am getting ready to go up and meet Toby and the same guy comes over and basicly tells me that i am not allowed to do that, and not to push it anymore. So i go back and sit down. Well right next to my booth is were they had all of the shirts and and stuff at. Todd was over there which was awesome cus then i had an reason to be stareing at him, eventually Toby came over and was sitting on the back of the seat. I was like smiling the whole time. Once they finally started preforming we all went up to the stage. Toby jumped into the crowd and i was like 2 feet away from him.
Well there is my review.
laters,
Kacie
