Ok, Connecticut was a fantastic show for the Street Team! We brought 1,500 mini postcards with us and by the end of the night we only brought home about 200 cards. The glow bracelets were a huge success (as always) and people couldn't get enough of them. For those of you street teaming a show, I found it very helpful to have contacted the venue ahead of time and gotten a name to use. When we arrived, I went to the service desk and told them we were from the Street Team and could I talk to the Operations Manager (who's name I had gotten earlier in the week). He comes out and thanks us for coming, and let us past security without checking our bags. We were all able to get our cameras into the show this way. We immediately made our way to the merchandise table to buy our E.P's.
During Dilana's set, Magni was playing guitar along with her regular guitarist, Christian. Then she announces Dale to come on stage with her and they play a song together. At this moment I can't remember what that song was. Tamara, Kelly, and I kept having to switch seats as well b/c we had stayed down on the floor and security kept making us move.
Juke comes on after Dilana and played: Save Me, Burning Down the House, December, Whacha Gonna Do?, and Throw It Away. I didn't get any pictures from their set b/c security was giving me a hard time about my camera and I had to put it away. Toby took pictures of himself with a few people's cameras, and even hopped down to the floor to say hello to two young girls in the audience. He also shocked himself on the microphone and said, "Did you all see that? It's because there's carpet in this place!"
After their set, we made our way back up to the signing area. Security had set up ropes and a line was forming. I talked to one of the security guys and explained that we wanted to hand out our cards as people exited the line, and he allowed us to set up at the exit. The signing was insane! People were pushing us and the security guys. Toby, Dilana and Magni came out and sat at the signing table. We eventually saw the rest of Juke make their way out to greet people standing around the signing area. Our group had bought Eddie a birthday card, which I gave to him. He seemed really surprised that we had thought of his birthday, and thanked me several times for the card. I saw Dale very briefly, as well as Tommy. Tommy took pictures with me and my friend Kelly, but they are on her camera so I don't have them to post right now. We then talked to Todd for a bit, who was really happy that the EP was selling out. I told him that we had planned to buy every one of them if it hadn't sold out by the end of the night! He smiled, hugged me, and said "we love you street team girls!" I then started handing out cards to the people around the signing area (I don't know why Juke's management is allowing Toby to sign stuff that is not purchased merch. Pooky and I figured if they were going to sign something it might as well be one of our cards with the web info on it). Our team made sure everyone in the lobby area had a JK card. I met several interesting drunk people, including one guy that sort of stalked me for the rest of the night. He was standing next to Todd when I gave him a card. This man then proceeds to hug me and then turns to Todd and says, "This girl is F*CKING AWESOME! She's doing a great job!" I'm sure at this point I was bright red and Todd just laughed and said, "Yup!" I also met a guy from an internet radio station who asked me if Juke would come on his show. I got really excited and gave him a hug (which I think might have startled him) and then I dragged him over to Todd and introduced him. Todd exchanged some information with the guy, and the guy saw me later that night and thanked me for introducing him to Todd.
We handed out cards as people exited (though the majority of them told me they had already gotten a card! YAY!) Almost everyone I handed a card to said how much they enjoyed Juke and how they thought they were the best set of the night. All in all I think it was a very successful show for Juke and for the street team!

The band tells us that the "Street teaming was insane" last night. They
were very impressed with your work. Keep it up!!

The street teamers were working it hard last night! Todd thanked us
several times for all that we were doing. The boys were awesome! They
sounded great! Most people did not realize that Toby was there and were
very excited to see him and the band. The line to meet Toby, Dilana and
Magni was ridiculous! They were there for a very long time signing and
taking pictures. The rest of the boys were around talking to people and
taking pictures.

Ok.so here it goes. I am exhausted so if I sound like a bumbling freak,
please forgive me and also forgive me if this is too long but I am trying
to cover as much as I can. We got there shortly after the venue the
opened. We had a pre-show chat about a week or so before the event so we
already had an excellent strategy set up. After Rowdy spoke to her contact
at the venue, we were able to all enter the floor area and begin handing
out the bracelets. Much like the other shows, people had no idea that Toby
and the rest of JK were going to be there. Our approach was basically like
this."hey.you remember Toby Rand from the show. he is here tonight with
his amazing band, Juke Kartel, would you like a bracelet to support them?"
Then we made sure to tell them that they were signing merchandise after
the show and to be sure to check out their music by buying their EP. Let
me just say that the response that we received was overwhelming. People
were ecstatic about that fact that Toby was there and they all wanted to
know more about Juke Kartel and boy did we tell them. Much of the staff at
the theater was so excited about the bracelets that not only did they ask
if they can have one to wear but they were pointing out sections to us or
sending people over to us. At one point, we had people yelling to us for
the bracelets, that I had to play quarterback and start throwing them to
people at the back of the venue. Even after all the bracelets were gone,
we had people coming over to ask if they could have one to support JK. It
was unbelievable. I think that how we handled the distribution of the
bracelets and how we interacted with the audience was just nothing less
than perfection.

Dilana performed first with Magni on back up vocals. Dale was invited out
on the stage to perform She Talks to Angels. As usual, Dale was at the top
of his game. The rest of Dilana's set is a blur because let's face it..I
needed my JK crack and wouldn't be satisfied until I got it. So the moment
of truth comes and our boys came out on stage and the place exploded. They
sang the same set that they have been playing. As promised, I have
recorded full length videos of December and What ya gonna do. The crowd
response was so phenomenal. JK seriously stole the show from all the other
performers hands down. After JK's set, Toby, Dilana and Magni came out to
sign merchandise. The problem is that the people on line weren't
necessarily buying merchandise to get signed. Jojo and I decided to give
the postcards out to the people on line so that they would get them signed
and that would guarantee that they keep the postcards. I highly recommend
doing that at your shows if you see that happening. Anyway, the line for
Toby went on and on for hours. Toby did not stop signing until a few
minutes before his duet with Lukas which was toward the end of the
Supernova set. Toby was just incredible with the fans. One girl was crying
so he sat her down next to him and talked to her for a few minutes.
Another person asked him to speak to someone on the phone and he happily
got on the phone and started to chat. At one point, Toby stood up on a
chair and screamed "I love my life". He just gives me chills with how
amazing he is with everyone.

While Toby was signing the rest of the boys were walking around and they
were pretty mobbed by people with questions, autograph and picture
requests. It was awesome to see. I spoke to Todd at length and he is
amazed at the work that we did last night and just so grateful to all the
street teamers and I could see in his eyes that he really meant it which
really warmed my heart. We continued handing out postcards and talking to
people about the band. Rowdy and I got the OK to put the cards up by the
merchandise booth for people to take. I think Rowdy and her friends or Syd
and her friends made sure that postcards where place in both the means and
ladies room. We handed out over 1200 postcards which totally kicked ass.
We really worked together as a team to get the job done and I truly feel
that is why the night was such a success. BTW.did I mention that the boys
sold out their EP's again? Yeah boy!!!!! Thanks to all the street teamers
who came out and worked their asses off last night and also thanks to
their friends who got out there and got dirty with us. If I remember
anything else, I will let you all know.

As far as whether or not Pooky still needs to be drunk to talk to
Toby.....let's just say...I carried more watermelons last night. Ughhh!!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

I think Todd finally said to me last night "enough with the F'ing shoes
already" and then he busted out laughing. I told him they weren't very
manly. I then asked him to hold my purse so I can go see Toby since the
purse matched his shoes so perfectly.

I don't have much for pictures from this show. Apparently I must look like trouble b/c security was on my ass all night long about my camera. Here's what I do have:

Ok....this just came in on NEJKST as a response to my CT concert review.
The Pookster joyfully sobbed a little over this.

"I just wanted to say, even though I knew that JK were gonna be there, and
had already bought my EP and sweatshirt before the show....I thought you
guys did an AMAZING job!! I was very impressed with the way you all worked
the room, and I agree, the response to both you guys, and the band
themselves, was unbelievable! I was so proud at the response our boys got
from the crowd! I loved the whole bracelet idea, and kept mine! Thank you
for doing such a great job and getting the word out! If it wasn't for you
and all your hard work, I wouldn't have know Toby was out signing, and
wouldn't have gotten to fufill my dream of meeting him (and Tommy too)!
Look forward to next time!"

It doesn't get any better than that. I say thanks again to the kick ass
street teamers we had working CT and NYC. It is a good day in JK land.

Ok another WOW - We drove from the Atlantic City show to Ct, and had no
idea where the hell we were going, in the middle of nowhere - was one of
the best concert venues I have ever seen, but we made it,

Tonight was the best I have ever heard the guys, from the Solo tour to the
show last night, they were all switched on and sounded amazing, Toby ran
into the crowd to get an australian flag and the girls went crazy, Tommy's
smile never left his face, Todd sang every word and even had a little skip
thrown in there as well, what a great show, so many people missed Panic
Channel and the start of Supernova as they were waiting in line to see
Toby - what a great feeling for the JK boys - they are having an amazing
tour.

Man the last couple of days have been insane, but all worth it ...

Oh and Todd - I love the shoes - maybe it's an Aussie thing, Toby wore a
white pair on the red carpet at G'Day LA with his dark suit - and looked
amazing ....

JK are rocking the world and they are making me one proud Aussie .....

hey girls,
sorry it has taken me so long to post..crazy weekend..first let me start
by saying that the boys totally KICKED ASS last night..The blew everyone
else off the stage..and the fact that the autograph line was stretched
across the lobby for all of Panic CHannel and most of SUpernova was just
amazing..JK played the same set they have been playing and they were
awesome..totally on..we street teamers and our friends worked our butts
off handing out glow bracelets and card, it was fun talking about the boys
to everyone..people did love the bracelets and as Pooky said, we had
people chasing us down for them!!!! I started handing out he cards to
people waiting on line because they did not have merch to be signed, so at
least if they had the card signed they were sure to keep it..It was a
blast..we had a great time!!!! pictures anyone?

now a JK Junkie because of him and Toby and will be joining the team...at
least that's what she told me yesterday. I will have many pictures from
last night and the MA show as soon as I can.
Do you think he would be upset if we got Magni or Dilana to steal his shoes
for us?"
Yes he would be...I asked him tonight what size his runners were so I
could have a new pair to give him in NYC...*L* He pretended to fall over
in shock and said he couldn't give them up and they'd seen to much
action...I think I turned bright red because the action he was thinking of
was different then the action I was thinking of...*LOL

I know! I know! I'm late as hell. Sorry! Had some famdamily stuff to do
after I got home last night. I was up late downloading and editing my
pics. Unfortunately, they didn't come out as well as some of the other
girls' but I salvaged what I could. The reviews are all pretty right on.
Don't know what else I could add. Except, of course, those JK boys are
great! The show was fantastic. Juke Kartel kicked arse! I had so much fun
street teaming with everyone! It was great to finally meet so many of you
wonderful ladies. Everyone did a bang-up job, and is super cool to boot!

After the show while I was handing out the cards I had so many people tell
me how glad they were that JK was there. For a while at the end of the
night I positioned myself at the bottom of the balcony stairs and was
handing out cards. There was a minor traffic jam because people were
stopping to make sure they got a card before they left and many wanted to
mention that they thought Juke gave the best performance of the night.
The glow bracelets were a giant success. After the lights went down you
could see them all over. It warmed my heart to see all the JK love
