The performance I saw last night from the boys just reaffirms to me why we are all here doing what we do. They are so so fuckingwell deserving of our work!

Got to speak to the guys afterwards, Toby was mobbed by fans lol.
There was really high JK interest after their performance. Almost all the cards and flyers were grabbed up by eager people wanting more.
The crowd's energy and excitement was at its peak through Juke's performance. They were really pumped and Toby whipped them up with his energy and charm.
I just love them!
It was a year ago to the day that I met these wonderful boys, how fitting I got to celebrate it this way...with them.
The show was a sellout...1,000 people and they were crammed like sardines when our boys played.
They had so much fun up there.
Jay was fantastic and cool and sweet. He fits them like a glove.
Guys, you did my heart in once again! Love you!
Sorry you have to wait for my pics til I get home Sunday or Monday but you'll have no shortage of pics from everyone else.

Thanks so much Kel and Adelle! The pics and the review were great. It helps the time go by until they tour the states again. It will be one year in Dec since I got to see JK. It sounds like all who got to see the show had a rockin' great time! Now it is time for JK to get their asses back to the states! A YEAR is toooo long to wait!

Hey Kristen how'd the night go after I left?
Well FUCK!
What can I say?
It was smoky. It was packed. It took ages to get a drink at the bar. It was bum to bum of people, it was loud.
IT.
WAS.
PERFECT.
First up, I must thank from the bottom of my heart, Lana. This girl people, this girl is one of the most generous and beautiful and thoughtful people I have ever met. She came to Paris' house at about midnight on Thursday night after I was picked up from the Airport with THE best surprise ever. I closed my eyes and after I opened them my chin dropped to the floor and I have no idea what I uttered but was I was speechless. She had gone out and gotten made a tank top for myself and her of Jugs for Juke!!!!! It was awesome!!!!!!! You will see photos of it after (you will have to forgive me, I left my camera in the car and after it taking 10 mins to get back into the joint, I didn't want to risk going to get it and not getting back in.) The plan was to wear them to the gig, and give out some business cards that again, Lana made and drum up some more support for our J4J page, which Toby told me he wants made BIG!
After much deliberation and tears from me about what to wear, I almost didn't wear the top. Even though I have dropped 7 kilos (15.3 pounds) in a month, I'm still very self conscious and thought everything I put on looked horrible. So I texted Lana in tears, telling her I couldn't wear it. She bought a little cardigan thingy along and convinced me to try the top on with the cardy. Thankfully she did that because it didn't look too bad and I think I was seeing bits on me that weren't there. Bloody typical woman!!!!!!
After the hour drive to get there with Lana, Pazza, Nadia and Peter, we were all BUSTING to split a whisker so as soon as the cars brake was put on, we were out of there!! I had to meet up with Kiks to get my ticket, got my stamp and walked in and nearly fell over. IT was sooooooo dark! Freefall The Band were playing and let me tell you, the place was electric! I scurrie to the loo and on the way out was bowled over with hugs by Becca, then Kristen, then Shezzie. It was so great to meet the girls finally!! I love you!
We then went in search of the bar and lots of drinking ensued. I could see Toby but left him to it, went and found my beautiful Kiks, Adelle, Candace and Shae & Kel. Steph was also standing in the circle but I didn't realise it was her. I went to stand to the side of the bar and found Mel and Darryl!!! Everywhere I turned, I knew someone. I felt like royalty!!!

Toby then walked past, saw his group of girls and threw his ups in the air and was like 'yeahhhhhh, heeeyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!' He was so excited to see them! They all got hugs and as he walked past Mel and myself he gave Mel a hug and saw me and he said "oh my god, you made it!" and I got a massive hug. He really does give the most amazing cuddles! I showed him my top, and he said "I know babe, I LOVE it" He'd apparantley seen Lana's one earlier and was amazed. He was ushered away to the back room to start setting up so we continued drinking. Lana and I had to get some money out so we made our way outside to the TAB to get some dosh and we ran into Shae and Steph, who I then found out was there. They were waiting for Stephs ride to take her home as she had a migraine, the poor thing. She didn't look well :(
Back inside and we could see the boys setting up. Man the excitement was building in that place, you could feel it!!! We tried to make our way to the front and it was like pulling teeth, it was THICK with people and they all wanted a piece of the Juke Action. I could see people reading postcards and flyers. Oh and by the way, on one of the times we had to line up to get back in, Paris, Nadia, Lana and I were handing out matchbooks to the smokers outside. They all looked wrapped to get something and quite a few people were wearing Juke merchandise. I would say more than half the crowd were there for Juke. Paris and Adelle had prime possie right at the front for the video-ing and photo taking so you all are in for some FINE images soon! We watched the video last night when we got home and Paris, you missed your calling love. You should make this a profession. It was perfection personified!
They finally hit the stage with Sublime Truth and the energy bar had been set right there and then. Toby owned that stage and he owned that crowd as soon as he opened his mouth. From where I was I couldn't really see Tommy and Todd because of the massive speakers but the chemistry they all have up there is visible and you know you are in the process of watching something INCREDIBLE. IT was my first time seeing them rock out and I really wanted to enjoy it......I called Anita for Sublime Truth and hoped to god it sounded ok coz I was right next to the speakers. I'm sorry I only called for one song Anita but I really just wanted to rock out and couldn't with my phone! I only took a couple of photos on my phone, which Anita posted in another thread but I will bring over here.
Then Toby introduced the new song 'Ever Young' and let me tell you, this song has hit written all over it. It's great and Jay co-wrote it with them. We then had my favourite December and FUCK they do this song justice live, it was perfect. It's my favourite JK song and it won me all over again. Save me was next and looking to the side when it was on, I was amazed to see how many people were singing along. They really do have a huge following. My Baby was next and I know I'd heard that it's been remade and was a tad unsure as to how I would like it because it's my second JK fave, but that soon faded as they all rocked the SHIT out of it! Love love love the new version!!!!! The guitar came out and Toby sang If Only. It was gorgeous. It was beautiful. It was magic. Seriously can't fault these guys! Smoking Gun was next and I know this is Adelles favourite and it was my first time hearing it and she always tells me I'm going to love it, and she wasn't wrong. Awesome track, another hit! Toby donned the guitar again and started singing Throw it Away accoustically. I love acoustic BUT I wanted lose myself in the song and after about 10 seconds, the drumming slowly built up, then the bass, then guitars, and Glenn rushed on, grabbed Tobys guitar, ran off, up went the lights and strobes and BAM. We were struck with it!!!!!! FULL ON PELTED with it all and the CROWD. WENT. OFF! Every single person was jumping, arms up, singing along. It was goosebump material. My feet were burning but that was quickly forgotten in that moment. I seriously didn't want it to end. But end it did and the screams were deafening. They then went straight into What Ya Gonna Do and it was another one I hadn't really heard and I hope this one is on the album because quite simply, it rocks! THey played a small portion of Highway to Hell and it was then over :( I was so sad. I didn't want my first Rock Juke show to be over. Went and stood for a bit out at the Merch table with Shae and got my Juke top. The supply on the table was considerably less by then and it was great to see people buying up!
Went outside to sit so I could rest my feet with Lana. Glenn walked past and gave us a hug and a kiss and we got a photo with him. I asked him if it was possible to get Toby to come out so we could get a photo with him and us in our tank tops. Glenn said that would be no problem. So we waited outside for a bit and we could see into the band room from outside and seeing the boys high 5-ing each other and the commrodary (sp?) was really heart warming. Glenn came out and got Lana and I and took us into the back room. Kristen came along so she could get some photos as well. I met Justin Murphy and his wife, who are fucken amazing people. We had a chat with Toby and I thought it was just going to be myself and Lana and Tobes in the pics. But they gathered all the boys up to get some groups shots!! Awesome stuff. We are standing there waiting to make a spot to get the photos done and the next thing I know, I look over at Lana and she's topless!!!!!! I'm like, woaaaaahhhhhhhh........... I look at Toby and he's topless.........and handing his grey tee to Lana, and she was handing her J4J tank to him......I look at Tommy and he's topless!!!!!!!.......and the alarm bells go off and he's looking at me and saying 'come on' and I'm like 'no fucking way!!!!' and everyone's going 'come on, we'll cover you' so I had a human shield and was laughing so hard, I took my top off. Yep, standing there in my bra and jeans and laughing like a lunatic, Tommy's peeing himself laughing and I hand him my top and he hands me his blue tee and I'm like 'did that just really fucken happen?' Everyones laughing and those boys looked much much much too good in those tops!!!! Tommy's tee I had on was tight on him, but swum on me and dare I say it.......yeah I will, it smelt SOOOOO SSOOOOO SOOOOOO good. So all go get our photos and again, I felt like royalty. I'm standing on the chair with Toby, licking his nipple, copping a feel, and there are about 5 people taking photos 'shaz do this' 'Lana do that' 'who wants a beer?' Oh my god, it was awesome and we got some awesome shots!!!!!! Although Toby had me speechless with one comment he made.....something along the lines of "I shouldn't have a drink, she's my mum' and looked at me. I know my chin dropped and I think someone took a photo of it, then he laughed and hugged me and said he was only kidding. But still, you forgive him coz he's just so darned beautiful!
Went back to get changed and I didn't even care this time who saw, although I told Tommy to turn around so he stood in front of me and I just wanted to scratch my nails down his bare back. Gave him his top back, dressed again and back to some sort of normality. I went to chat to Justin and his wife and they were laughing at us. Looked across the table and saw 2 blondes sitting there. One of them was familiar and I realised it was Nicky Whelan from Neighbours. Now.....remember if you will people a thread started a few months ago called 'Find Randy a Root' and one of my contributions was Pepper from Neighbours.......go on, go have a look. You'll see it.........anyways, strike one up for Toby's root department for Shaz......LMAO. I have good taste!
We then got ushered out by managment. 'Anyone not with the band needs to leave now, thanks' I was going to say 'it's ok, I can stay, I'm Tobys mum' but instead I said 'its ok, Tobys my husband' HA. Take that Nicky Whelan (I am of course only joking).
I then go watch Noiseworks and what a magical trip down memory lane it was. All the hits and fantastic songs sung beautifully. Jon Stevens is amazing. After they finished,I wanted to beat the rush so went outside for a bit......I had no idea there was so many people in there. Toby was totally MOBBED by people as he stood near the merch table. TOTALLY mobbed. He was so nice and so accommodating. I heard people outside saying Juke Kartel were by far the best support band of the night. We are going to see much much more of these boys, and hopefully not too long.
Sat outside and saw Tommy and Glenn and the 2 blondes leaving for the hire bus the guys hired for the night.....gave Tommy a hug goodbye and thanked him for taking the photos of us. I think I'm a Tommy girl again :) Toby then came out and was dragged away by someone, but he saw us, made a point of coming over to say goodbye and as he hugged us he said "I can't give a close hug, I've got a woody!" I think it was because of the adrenalin rush of all the people who wanted to just be near that great man that night.
So there endeth my review.
10/10 for a fucken tops night. Thanks to EVERYONE I was priveliged enough to be able to spend it with. It was worth it and more to be scared shitless on the plane ride over...........

Umm... LOVE JAY!!!!!! hes so cute but very shy...dont panic though girls...we didnt scare him off! i (becca) was the first one to meet him (along with kristen & shez)...toddie introduced us...as their girls.....but i think he was scared of us..coz we backed him into the wall.
Toddie was amazed that they cant seem to get a drummer taller then 5"2'.
Todd was inlove with him haha
We spoke to Toddie about the new song... he was excited about it and he was almost wetting his pants (Sorry Todd... hahahaha) He said it was their best song yet!
he said it was going to "PICK US UP.....SHAKE YOU...AND KICK YOU" (think of toddie doing the movements at the time...coz it was hilarious!) He did it about 3 times....
He said he was getting sick of playing the same songs over and over and OVER again coz they were teaching Jay..so he didnt mind so much.
we talked to him about eddie...and his leaving...he sounded really happy for ED to be doing his own thing...EVEN MORE EXCITED FOR US TO SEE JAY PLAY!!!!

Can I just say that it's 4.17am in Melbourne (daylight savings has started) and I just want to quickly thank everyone for such a great night on Friday night. I love you all and I don't think I need to add to the brilliant reviews given by the other girls but I will add my point of view in the next couple of days.
I think we all had our special moment with the boys and I had mine which I am so stoked about. I've just had the last guests leave tonight from hubby's 30th so please give me a couple of days to get my shit together (ALOT of shots and Jagerbombs drunk tonight) and I will post my review. Fucken great night and hopefully I can get some awesome stuff up for you soon so please be patient and you will see some great footage (i hope).
Shaz & Lana - I love you two girls sooooo much. You hold a special place in my heart and I am sooo glad that I got to spend this time with the most gorgeous, generous girls in my life.
To all you street teamers and wonderful friends (you know who you are - all you girls that were there on Friday) I had an amazing time and I couldn't have experienced it without you all. Glad you all enjoyed the pics. Yes I had an amazing view. Front row at my first JK gig..my friend and I had been planning for weeks!!Toby was right on top of me at one point....*faints*. My hubby was holding me back!! Unfortunately I didn't get to meet the guys as we stayed put for Noiseworks, but my hubby grabbed a cd when Toby threw them to the crowd, and I grabbed the set list too! :gigg:

Ok... Shazza sent me over here to voice my opinion on Friday nights show!
In two words... Mind Blowing!
I went with my brother seeing as he had an extra ticket because his girlfriend didn’t want to go and he is a big Noiseworks fan so he wasn’t going to miss out.
I wasn’t in the best position… Im not the tallest person ever, so being surrounded by tall men is not cool at all!
Juke Kartel’s set was great! I couldn’t have expected anything better. It was just perfect!
I loved Ever Young. I also loved If Only. I remember hearing it on the radio a while back… It nearly brought a tear to my eye… Then my brother called me a wimp. Haha (By this stage, my brother was so wasted)

After Juke’s set, I waited for my brother at the bar and ordered endless amounts of water (designated driver) while he went to the toilet. He came back looking so pleased with himself. He said “guess who I just met…Toby rand and he shook my hand!” The first thing I thought of was… “I hope you washed you hands when you came out of the toilet then…” Haha
I was also very impressed with Noiseworks! Not knowing many of their songs, i still loved it!
Anyway, overall it was a great night! Juke Kartel got a new fan... my brother! =]

no worries i had the phone in one hand and the camera in the other and i was holding them both up so my arms were sore but that could also be from Tommy who kept grabing my arm when ever he walked past me:gigg:
