The Coach House was the kick off show for the Chemical Dreaming tour. Post your pics and Reviews here...
Well, how shall I begin. It was a day I'll never forget, let me start with that. Our day started in Capistrano, a cute spanish colonial beach town with stopping by the venue to Street Team of course. We picked up our tickets at will call and proceeded to plaster the venue with flyers!!
1st the boring stuff...the flyer photos--but this IS the street team and this does have purpose showing this stuff.

And this one--you probably cant see but we did all the flyers together on a wall--right where the band loads in. We knew they'd see it. So in a sharpie we wrote JK Cali Street team was here. You may not be able to see the writing here on this photo, its the gray stuff on the middle yellow row.

Not one minute after we finished, we are walking back to the car.....who pulls up? The band! Aaah not yet having gotten ready, hair not done yadda yadda we high tail it out of there and drive around the block to watch them get out and spy on them from afar!
Well just for a few minutes anyway...and Eddie is the first to get out, and the first thing he does is point to all the flyers and stands there to check it all out.
So Street Teamers--they do see it and it is appreciated! More on that later!
Now on to the preshow: We were lucky enough to spend some time with the band one on one and there were so many conversations I cant recap them all here but I'll put the photos here:

Ok, there is so much more and I wanted to give ya something to start with....but I must run now to get ready for tonights show at Canes...but I'll recap the concert later. They were absolutely nazi like about photos during the show so that was tough but I promise Jodie and 4reeds have alot more pre show photos to share as well..

OK my turn...but I only have a few minutes cuz Kel is using the curling iron now & then we're OUTTA here! We are all "bedazzled" for the show in SD...getting ready for our private m&g for the myspace contest. Congrats to Sherry (last night) & Steph for tomorrow night....yes everyone, ENTER THOSE CONTESTS! Can I say they are sooooo worth it!?? (see below ;D)

As already said, the show as incredible - we had the Street Team M & G before the show which was awesome!!!!!!!!
Favorite part of the show... Show gal yelled out during the show - You're #1 Toby to which he replied...
"News Flash - I came in 3rd" which got a chuckle
Then he said
"Thanks "F"ing God for that!" The crowd went crazy after that comment!

Ok that JK logo on the pink T-shirt. How many think the J looks like a penis? Had to say it--I was not the only one I tell ya.
And I wanna take the time to write a little about the show too--after all its all about the music right? *wink wink*
Money Love is no longer--obliterated the guys said--its now called December and vaguely resembles Money Love.
Long way Chorus is slightly different but the heavier chunk to it--THUD, it rocked! Just saying --singing along to the songs--you will be thrown off some!
At the pre show meet we told Toby to come dance on the tables for us, among other things and he didnt disappoint and came and sang right on our table , bent down to our table--was a "melt me" moment.
I saw the 2 cute girls he brought onstage with the Aus flag/JK t-shirts but alas I got no pics--Nazi security, we were all told to put our cameras away several times as it was.
Its a nice balance of spacing with the songs and I was just so impressed at Toby's voice-its very strong and OMG in Robbies Song they harmonize so good, its insane!
Firesign is a good encore and TI at the 2nd to last works pur to the fect as Balls would say.
And lastly can I just say, Jodie got to see them warming up in their room some, they stayed at same hotel we did as she meandered by down the hall.
And after the show--guys if you read this: MANY MANY THANKS for rescuing my leather jacket from the venue for me and having it waiting for me at the hotel later! True, true gentlemen!

& Todd came out to get his equipment set up...& I yelled out his name, he looked up & was mouthing through a stressed out look "no pictures!" well hey, he said this AS I was taking it so it doesn't count, right?? ;D

Okay everyone...It's my turn to share now that I have my photos...sorry that it's taken so long...
First off, I want to thank everyone who came to the Coach House on Saturday to help the guys start the tour off right! We had a large table of over 30 people there (mostly friends of mine and a few of the Street Team Members) and all were familiar faces to the guys. They were grateful that we were all there showing our support in our varied ways and thanked all of us in a few ways.

While we waited for the show, we all got to know each other and we ate, drank and made merry...and Kellee, Jodi, Myself, Sheri, Stephanie and Sandi went up for the Meet and Greet...I was waiting for the "Rose!", but instead got "There she is!". Wow...made my day SO much better...hehe. Finally took some photos with the guys for all street teamers to see...thanks for encouraging me to do it, because I'm not much for taking photos...

And as you well know, from the awesome job Kellee and Jodi have done reporting on the little happenings through out the evening, it was a very nice wait...Driveblind is an amazing group of guys and great musicians (much like our Juke boys!) and we also had an interesting show from Whitestarr...but then our boys came out and put on the amazing show you've heard about, but I get to brag about one point...During the song "Beautiful Enemy" (I know...conflicting title, but it gets even more interesting...hehe) I had the pleasure of being sang to during the chorus by my buddy... and the words are good...wait til you guys hear them...
Well, here's the clincher for those of you who are confused..."Money Love" is still being played, but it is now called "December"...but they are still playing the classics..."If Only", "Firesign", "My Baby", and of course "Throw it Away", where we were the lucky ones and had a little bit of a table dance done for us (yes, those of us in the picture above) by the Aussie Monster himself...
On through the evening, they finish the set, and come down to spend some time with everyone who came to see them (which turned out to be so many more than I thought or even the staff at the Coach House thought would be there)...I even had a surprise visitor...my friend Erin came while she was in uniform, so I introduced her to Tommy...which I will post as soon as I get that pic...
But I got the chance to meet some lovely ladies, hang with old friends and have a great evening with my all of my friends...I have to send a shout out to some people...JK's Tour Manager (for handling the whole weekend like a champ), JK's merchandise girl (for being the sweet person that she is), Fred/Clyde/and the staff at The Coach House (for being able to handle all of us miscreants (Juke included...hehe)) and the guys in Juke for just being there...you all know what I'm talking about.
Thank you Kelley and Tina for doing this for the guys...They appreciate the organized way to meet new (and in my case old) faces and just doing all this at each venue. Everybody please keep up the great work everyone...Make each show as great for the guys as the three this weekend were! Take care and be safe!
