View Full Version : Espy Show This Saturday Night!
Hey everyone! As most of you know, the boys are playing the Espy this Saturday night. They are going on at 11:45 pm.
This is not a fan event, but a gathering of friends. So please, the boys have requested no camera phones, pictures or videos during the performance. Believe me, this hurts me more than it hurts you..cause we here in the States and other countries won't get to see any of the good stuff! I would suggest just leaving the cameras in your bags and if you see the boys after the show...ask permission for a picture if you feel you really want one. You have been invited as friends...not as fans. And, we all want to continue that relationship with the band.
All you Aussies..have a fantastic time. If you have any questions about this post, please get with Shae. She is in touch with the band and has all the details, as always!

Have a fantastic night. I'm sure it will be packed out so make sure you all get there early and just sit back and enjoy the show. That's the best part about not taking pics and vids is that you can now take in the whole exprerience.
I do wish I could be there and it does kill me knowing that I live in Melbourne and only 30-40mins from The Espy and I can't be there but I am excited and happy that you are all invited as friends to watch, not only Juke Kartel, but also another band Missfire that i have become friends with that I'm sure for those who have not seen them yet, will become fans once you do.

Just to touch on what Kelley has said, please remember that this is not a street team event. The boys wish to just get on stage & play for everyone, So just come & enjoy it without expectations. Just remember to be respectful.
And just a warning for any underages. This is an over 18's venue & event, you all know the ramifications of faking id to get in, and/or getting caught. Please do not expect any over 18's to get you in or look after you if you do manage to get in. Sorry to sound harsh but the reality is that we are going there to enjoy ourselves and to have that burden and the possibility of being kicked out ourselves is not kosher.
anyway I trust that those of you attending will have a brilliant night filled with great music, a few drinks & fab company.

You never know Shez, they might have it as an all ages tour like the MPH gig. It was at a bar and it was all ages. I'm sure they'll think of the younger fans when it comes to the tour.

Shezzie... do you know anyone (or know someone who knows someone) who works at the venue? I don't know how it works in Oz, but when I was underage in Canada I was able to get into some shows by knowing someone who was either working or playing, before doors were open and anyone was checking I.D. Then just keeping a low profile. So sorry it's not all ages. :(

just wanted to clarify a few things for you guys that will be there on sat night & as to why the whole no camera thing is at request of the boys.
If any of you have been to the Espy you will know that taking pics and the whole rock star treatment is quite redundant. This place is purely a rock, grungy venue which is deep seeded in the melbourne rock scene.
From the point of view of any band it just does not look 'cool' to have this happen. What we must remember is that it is a request from the band, not something that myself or any street team mod has requested you do. Please respect their wishes.

just wanted to clarify a few things for you guys that will be there on sat night & as to why the whole no camera thing is at request of the boys.
If any of you have been to the Espy you will know that taking pics and the whole rock star treatment is quite redundant. This place is purely a rock, grungy venue which is deep seeded in the melbourne rock scene.
From the point of view of any band it just does not look 'cool' to have this happen. What we must remember is that it is a request from the band, not something that myself or any street team mod has requested you do. Please respect their wishes.

i saw a couple of people taking photos, there was a girl next to me, and a guy near the front, but almost everyone was just enjoying the show.
the boys hung around afterwards and said hi and took a couple of pics... got hugs... they swallow you whole... had a few drinks and stuff...
im just omg... so tired from getting home at 5a.m. and my feet hurt from walking the girls to their hotel, the night is mostely a blurrrrr... i just cant wait for an album now...

My brother Ben was so funny. when missfire had finished i went up to him and hes all hyper saying "i said hi to toby did you see it?". then i had to run off all the members of Juke Kartels names and which ones they were. He also go t to sing with Toby on Save me then Shezzie, Becca, Jess and I sang on Save me aswell. Ben also got a pic with Todd

My brother Ben was so funny. when missfire had finished i went up to him and hes all hyper saying "i said hi to toby did you see it?". then i had to run off all the members of Juke Kartels names and which ones they were. He also go t to sing with Toby on Save me then Shezzie, Becca, Jess and I sang on Save me aswell. Ben also got a pic with Todd

I haven't done a review yet, I need time on it to do the guys performance justice. Can I just say it was electrifying and I'm still getting goosebumps thinking about how incredible they were! It's astounding that these star quality men could be wowing us in such an intimate venue. If I die now, I'll die happy for experiencing this moment!
