Here is the first round of pics from The Kik. I hope to have more after the signing.
OK My pics are comin soon. But heres a quick review of what i actually remember. If i get something wrong. Blame my memory.
Eddie came out about 3 times to fix his drum kit(He must really love that kit he came out at the end too) So we all got quick screams. Then someone saw Dale backstage... MORE screams. Then the lights went down. EVEN MORE screams. Then the boys minus Toby came out. Dale was sitting on a stool because he went to go see Tommy Lee or something and a security guard stepped on it and it broke. No wait... he was stage diving ;) thats what he said :P so BIGGEST screams yet. Then of course Toby came out! So the crowd was going wild and they busted into a song. I didnt recognise it for 2 reasons, i was infront of the monitors so half the sound was going behind me and the vox werent loud enough. This is where my memory starts failing a bit. They went through money love, rebel yell, firesign, save me, highway to hell(i got a recording of that it could be dodgey it was a video i think and i kept my phone next to me so it wasnt too bad... or was that recording Toby...) amd then im not sure if they played another new song or thats when toby strapped on a Maton acoustic (Good boy toby, keepin it Australian!!) and had a tribute to Billy Thorpe (My dad was actually wearing a Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs shirt!!) And started singing Most People I Know (dunno how good the recording of that is either) ANd then went into Throw it Away. He did the first verse on acoustic, got rid of that and ripped it up!! EVERYONE had the OH OH OH OH OH OH down and it was just awesome!!!
Well theres my quick review of the show.
aloha
Here I am....Losing the JK virginity was a FAN-f*ckING-TASTIC experience....
Had a ball with Adelle, Kiki and Donna.....
But didn't stay out quite as late as those girls....I wont tell you what time they arrived home....
I hope they dont miss the plane...I'll bet they are still asleep....
My review is coming......Pics are blurry...
I'll see what I can do...
OK.....Review time...Well at least I'll post my experience....
We arrived at our hotel...which was about a 20 minute walk to the Hordern Pavilion, did our best to inebriate ourselves as quickly as possible, got changed, met up with Adelle, Donna, and Kiki and made our way over to the Hordern!
We arrived to find two queues...one for bags and one for no bags.....motley crue t-shirts EVERYWHERE!
My friend jumped into the no bag queue, while i held both bags and started handing out the glowsticks and tattoos...about 45 mins before door opening, we decided that we needed to lose our bags, or we would never get front row....so my friend runs our bags back to the hotel.....
Luckily she arrives back for the door opening and we walked very quickly (no running) to our chosen front row position...just right of centre...
The oher girls were stuck a few rows back so we struck a deal with a Gilby fan that if they let them in they could have our front row posi for RSSN...
8 o clock...showtime... I dont know ....It was just a friggin religious experience i tell you...I had no clue how people can't remember the set....but I fear I have done the same.... I'll do my best here
What ya gonna do, then a song I hadn't heard before..good, december, save me, a heavy rocking version of Firesign, rebel yell, throw it away (acoustic at the start), highway to hell!!!
I think I've forgotten something......
all fantastically awesome.... I found the sound to be fine..Though I was singing very loudly myself!
so Tomby .....both sleeveless (not shirtless.. ) but definitely gorgeous!
Poor Dale rockin out on his stool, Eddie hammering those drums!!! and Todd being the consummate guitar hero with his flying hair..
The crowd was pumped...definitely could see moments of surprise among the boys that they were quite shocked! kept saying the Sydney crowd was awesome...blah blah blah
OK ...I'll post this much...and then do the rest......
cool Shae...thanks
here's the rest.....
let me say now...shezzie and becca...there is a little surprise for you in the Sydney concert thread at JK.com....
I was really impressed with RSSN..although Lukas did the Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi thing about 5 times too many.... (just my opinion)
Awesome sound (SUPER LOUD), lighting, confetti...the whole shebang!
So show finished...everyone had to leave and we head to the back loading dock..had a good chat here to joanie and mandaz. They were very pumped!
...after 1/2 hour or so, a security woman led us back to the entrance.
The boys were set for the signing...we were lead in 5 at a time. Really well organised
I was in the second or third group. with my friend who was on camera duties..
First Eddie...I congratulated him on the show..and he said that it was a great show, the crowd was excellent..got photo! check!
next Dale...no piccy of me here...he was stuck on a chair..I was on the other side of the table.Gave him a thumbs up!
Could feel the pull of Tommy who was free....
Big Tommy hugs...photo...told him not to pull a face because he had to look dreamy...so God love him, he did his best to oblige...and another hug..
and now Toby's free...and I am such a tard!!!!
I sit on the table...nearly f*cking broke under me...talk about the loser...drink splash...
photo...then asked ( I swear I am a loser) if it would be proper if I could kiss his cheek...(I told you I am a loser)...what is a girl to do...
OK time for a getaway...
and Todd has DISAPPEARED!!!!!
So the security lady is trying to shuffle me away...and I'm not going anywhere without seeing Todd..
Phew ...he arrives back! and f*ck! he is a chatterbox...now I was talking over him and he was talking over me....I think I did pick up that the old shoes' bottoms fell out , and he has 5 pairs of white shoes ( and he is so PROUD of them!!!!!)
anyway...I got a huge Todd hug when he worked out who I was...but you know, I WAS wearing a street team name tag so he might have cheated....
oops just remembered....(Told you I'm a TARD!!!!!)
Think back to my indecision over my new hair colour....
Toby lifts up my hair and kind of tweaks it a bit and looks at it...and says something like "you are so gorgeous..."
*sigh* (that's me not him...)
I am there thinking..."oh great...he LOVES my new hair colour" and I am so proud of myself.
I get back to the hotel hours later....and see the JK tattoo I had plastered high on my cheek.........
(so much for the hair colour....LMFAO!!!!)
Here's one from the Sydney show from The Kik:
Hey!!!
Photos will come later i send my battery flat!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!
ok so bout 5ish we get to the hoarden and meet up with the Girls! Me and Kiki start walkin round together handing out Glow sticks and Tats! *let me just say i dont think i've ever rubbed so many peoples arms lol* took me a while to get into coz i'm generally pretty shy but once i got into it was great! i loved spreading the JK Love!
Ok so we jumped back in line with Kiki, Adelle, and Donna. and as soon as the doors open i head to the merch stand. Grabbed myself the EP, Shirt and Dogtags *they are the Shiz btw* and then we run down to the mosh! Was bout 3 rows back from the front, but we were right infront of Dale. While i was standing waiting for the boys to come out, a few of the women around me notice that i have the street team badge on so they start asking me lots of questions bout the boys! It was great coz they got totally into it and wanted to know everything! so i even got to Street team in the mosh pit so Woot!
Ok so the Boys start off with What ya gonna do! Which i hadn't heard before *How Freaking AWESOME is that song* Then they play something else which i dont remember i dont think i knew it tho. ok and Then there was December which i F*ckin LOVE that song! and i think Save me was straight after that which is my most favourite juke song! and then Rebel Yell Which i was so exctied for because Toby Rocked it on Rockstar! and then Highway to Hell! *Becca tells me that they played my Baby in Melbourne little dissapointed a didn't get that but whatever i SEEN JUKE* lol ok and Then Throw it Away, They started off with the Acoustic and then Rocked in to it The Crowd Went off when they heard it, which was great! I think that was bout then end. *its all a bit of blur now* Toby is an absolutley AWESOME performer and i'm so happy that i finally got to see him live.
Ok so just a little Supernova *trust me it still involves juke* They started to play and i was still in the mosh pit! but It was Awful, not the music, just the fact that i was getting squahed and was bout to pass out! so i had to leave, So we get outta the pit and go over to like the side of the stage and guess who i see TOMMY! now note i said before i'm usually shy, well last nite i lost it, or else i just freaked out when i seen him and yelled out to him! He come out and gave me hugs and kisses and said Hello *cant even tell ya what he said because i was like "omg Its TOMMY"* He hugs my friend and then he stands near us and watches Supernova when he walks past he does the friendly rub on my back! WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! he stands there for bout a min then heads back with another Rub on the back and a thumbs up! Then i recieve a Message from Kiki Telling me that the boys will be doing a signing. We hang around watching supernova til a few songs to the end then head out!
We line up at the loading dock and then they escort us round to get in line. We were up to bout the middle of the line. Was standing with Joanie and her sisters, Then as the line moves up we finally have a visual. OMG THIS IS IT, I'm finally gonna meet them!!!!!!!!! Ok soooo. we go in Eddie's First, Such a lovely Boy! I had such an awesome chat to him. he said that Sydney was the Best crowd of the tour, i asked him how many times as he said that and he goes to me "i haven't!, i wont say it unless its True! you guys Rocked!!" Next was Dale! he said the hey how ya going, then he turns to Eddie and says He's hit a wall. I asked him if he had writers block *totally wrong reference but its JUKE KARTEL lol* He goes "no, I'm just buggered, i'm getting sick of sitting down" We were in front of Eddie and Dale for a while because next thing you know, Toby yells out "FIRST Boob Signing, Everyone Stop and Stare" He had the cheekiest look on his face *all i could think was OMG Its TOBY ITs finally Happening* Next up was Tommy! Now I'd already met him so he was just like "HEY BABE" He seriously yelled it at me! We had a chat, then i got a photo with him, He took my camera off of me, i have two photos with Tommy coz the first photo didn't come out right! Then the moment i have been waiting for forever!!!*well since Rockstar* Its TOBY RAND!!!!! lol He said hello and then seen my street team badge then he practially jumped over the table to hug me and KISS ME Lol! had a little chat to him, * believe it or not i was calm the whole time, except in my head LOL ;D* I get a photo with Toby! Strangley Toby can use my Camera better then i can haha. Next up is TODDIE! haha. He says hullo and then he sees my shirt which is one of theirs, and he start askin me bout it. He says that they made them especially for Australia so WOOOOOOOOOOT! and then they only have 150 of them! soo i have 1 of those shirts! WOOT! lol. Ok then we see the girls at the end. Apprently they were told they could only have 3 street teamers in there but i sorta just hung around *sorry hehe* None of the security said anything. I ended up standing behind Toddie and had a little chat! I Got him in trouble coz he kept talkin to me rather then signing *Sorry Todd*, Todd tells us all that he loves the street team, then he says he wants a street team group hug! so WOOT! Ok so all of the people have Left then there is just the Street Team, The boys and Security! Tommy comes up to my friend to give her a hug, he had his arms out wide then as he brings em into hug he nearly hits me in the head, like i literly had to duck so he didn't hit me, I go to him "dude you missed my head by bout this much" He laughed and had this cheeky little smile, Then he comes up to me and goes "aww i need a hug Babe" So i have my 3rd Tommy Hug for the NITE WOOOOOOT! Then Toby Walks over to Adelle and give her a big hug! He steps back and i just go in such a little kid voice "Tooooby" I even had my arms out like a little kid *i wanted a Toby hug haha* It made it funnier coz he did it back to me Lol! Then i have the BEST TOBY hug EVER! And another kiss on the cheek, well closer to the ear lol it was very Loud lol! Kiki and the other girls get some photos with Toby and then its time to leave! I say goodbye to everyone and then we get lead out of a side door so we even got to leave out of a special door lol! I was little upset coz Toddie said to me that they were going out, and where they were going, but my friend didnt want to go! so :'( but Bring on the Solo tour I'll beat that Toby Rand at a Jager Race lol!
So that was THE BEST NITE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!! Photos will come soon!!!! i Promise! I have LOTS!!!!!!!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

But what I can say about Syd..
Well....Melb rocked but Sydney kicked F*ucken arse!!!!!!!!! I cant explain it..I finally got a Toby photo..which Adelle has & a Tommy photo which Kik has...All the boys are great & you just know that they do appreciate you..It is one thing to hear/read about how much they do appreciate the work we do, but its another thing to experience it..So glad I did..
So bring on the solo tour!!!!!!
Ok Photo Time! Woot!!!!! These are just the pics of me with the boys! Plus One of Toby & Eddie!

Ok guys here are some of my pics.. I gave my camera to Booyahs friend to take for me as she was in the front row...Thank you so much..
(Photobucket is playing up for me & taking forever so I only have a couple so far, so you will all just have to patient people while I try & get the rest up)
It is indeed..It was great.. I cant put it into words..
Here is another couple of pics before I go to bed..Hopefully the rest I can do tomorrow
You girls are so nice... I think Adelle has a better one of Toby & myself
Here are some more pics
So the boys were inf*ckingcredible in Sydney! I have to say this & im sorry to betray my home town but Sydney was so much better than Melbourne! I dont know why it was so different but the boys were on fire & the crowd was so into them-the reception they got was just incredible! & the boys were blown away by it! It was a joy to watch the utter amazement on their faces as the crowd was screaming for them! They opened with Watcha Gonna Do & the crowd were right into it..the rest of the set list is kind of a blur but i know they played Firesign,Rebel Yell,a new song,December & they ended with TIA...umm there were more but i cant remember it went by so fast,i dont know how you US girls handled only 20mins of the boys we got 40mins & it still wasnt enough!
After their set we got word that they would be doing a signing but because of the mayhem in Melbourne this time they emptied the venue, had everyone line up around the back & escorted them in bit by bit. Luckily Adelle had made a contact with the head of security there who let us stay in while everyone else was kicked out so we could set up at the end of the boys table. Then the boys came out & we got to say hi before they started bringing people in-they were all on such a high from the show esp Todd! Then they started escorting people in & the boys were just amazing to watch meeting their fans! Todd is especially good with people-he asked every single person their name & really tried to have a conversation with them which was hard since there was a security guard standing in front of him trying to hurry things along. All through the signing he kept thanking us & demanding kisses & group hugs & he was chatting away & we had to keep reminding him that there were people there waiting to meet him & the security guard was telling us to keep him in line! LOL After each person met the boys we handed them a postcard, static decal, sticker & temp tat to take home & they were all so grateful! The signing lasted about half an hour & then the boys were rushed out but we managed to get pics with Tommy & Toby before they left-Adelle got the best pic of Toby but i'll let her tell the story when she posts the pic.
& then that was it! Cant believe after waiting so long its all over! :'(
Here you go girls..

Ooops i lied Two more haha!
OK ...seems to be working...
here's the rest ( at least the ones that I'm showing....thank God for the crop function, or I would have none of Tommy to post...really, they should do the signing BEFORE you've spent too long in the pit in 34 degree heat #yucky# )
edited because Dale was m.i.a
The show on Friday night was awesome and so worth the wait. Had some problems getting there on the night and was too late to meet up with you guysfor street teaming which I was really disappointed about but intend to make up for it on the solo tour. The Hordern was lit up with glow bands and everywhere you looked someone was wearing a JK tatt....you gals did an amazing job and should be very proud of yourselves as everyone on this forum is. Didn't get to meet the boys but hopefully will rectify that at their next gig.
I have pics to post but don't know how and don't know how to watermark.....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm dying to get the album. Hopefully it's around for the solo tour!
Girls and guys, well f*cking DONE on the awesome and spectacular reviews and pics. I'm so proud of you all for EVERYTHING.
Shae, without you, the Oz Street Team just wouldn't exist. None of us would have had the amazing chances to help a great band get where and what they deserve.
You are a beautiful, funny, sensational and gorgeously generous soul and I love you so much.
Paris, your dedication to getting the song on the radio (coz without you I would have forgotten to email each week) and the way you went above and beyond your duties to get every snippet of info possible for us all is so commendable and such a breath of fresh air......I love you from the bottom of my heart.
Adelle......I've yet to see the amazing cards you've made but I hope we can call on your wonderous talents for the solo tour and over here in my lovely home town. You're excitment and enthusiasm for everything you've done gives me goosebumps when I think about it. You're incredible and I love you a tonne too!
Donna, Kiks, Manda, Shezzie, Becca, Nev, Melly, Redevs, Booyah, Judy, Joanie, Nadia, Elizabeth, Smita and anyone I've missed and everyones friends and hubbies and families that have helped for the band we all share a massive love for, sharing this with ALL of you has been such an incredible time for me.....I love that I can come on here and come be all fan girly and know that everyone understands where I'm coming from and why. This network of people is just incredible, it really is and I can never rave enough about you. I dearly love you all and hope we can all keep on in this incredible journey, TOGETHER.
OZ STREET TEAM RULEZZZZ!!!!!!!

Still More..but there are no Todd, Dale or Eddie & there was only the 1 of Tommy
Thats it
Ok i have one more pic to share...i swore i would never post a pic of myself online but im being pressured into it now, damn you Tina!
Ugh
Just a word of warning, my reviews are extremely lengthy. I feel Juke’s performances and that of the street teamers deserve the praise to be shouted from the hilltops and here I go.
Trip to Syd and STming
Arrived at the Melbourne airport not too worse for wear. We ambled on down to the departure gate only to realise it was the very same gate I met Juke Kartel all those months ago on their return to Aus from Toby’s Rockstar experience. Gate 23! I pointed to the spot I got my first Toby hug. This was serendipitous and good things lay in store.
Flight was cool, no dramas and we got into a taxi without much fuss. Our taxi ride (woohoo Jase!) was also serendipitous and we immediately thought of Tina when we came across this:
Our hotel room proved to be a horror haven, thanks so much, Donna ;) and after scaling four flights of rickety, steep stairs we collapsed on the bed in fits of laughter at how horrendous it was. The odour of the damp carpet assailed our nostrils and insidiously proceeded to infiltrate all items of our clothing!
Moving on from that, we met up with Booyah and Jill and headed off to the Hordern Pavilion. My great leadership skills came into question when I realised I’d left my concert ticket at the Hotel. Heaps of rushing and anxiety later I arrived at the venue to see the street teamers had meticulously been handing out glow bracelets and pasting people with tattoos. People were covered with glow, tatts and the merits of Juke Kartel.
Merchandise had to be cloaked as it was a stipulation there were to be no handouts within the venue itself.
We were very happy to learn cameras had been okayed and we all keenly set our sights on the impending Jukefest.
See “AFTER” post for follow up.
PERFORMANCE
I survived the Melbourne experience...barely...to be thrown into a performance I couldn't possibly have envisioned to be better than the last. But that it was.
You could attribute it to the fact that this time I was in the pit, second row (thanks so much, Booyah) but it was much more than that.
Have mercy, Juke Kartel!
Toby, Tommy, Dale, Todd and Eddie were pure maestros!
My God! Where do these guys get their energy?
They tore onto the stage with Whacha gonna do...I think... because, at this stage I'm back up in my familiar territory of the stratosphere floating on audio delight. LOL!
Lost all sense of equilibrium so no clue as the the set order....again!
Songs I remember
Whacha gonna do
Save Me
December *sigh*
Firesign
Rebel Yell Highway to Hell
Throw It Away beginning with Most People I know in memory of the great Billy Thorpe...acoustic then breaking out midway.
Also at one stage they pumped the audience with The Angels ,"Am I ever gonna see your face again" while the frenzied crowd opened their lungs and screamed the chorus back, "No way, get f*cked, f*ck off!"
Toby responded with, "f*ck I love Australia!"
Todd was a seething, rocking pod of energy. He was so into it, into the crowd, into the group. It was a sight to behold! Wow I get emotional just writing about it. Amid the screaming hysteria of the crowd, Toby deftly reached out and plucked a camera here and there to shoot himself and the others onstage. He's so multi-talented!
At one point Toby mentioned, "Don't you think Todd looks like Keith Urban?"
To which Todd replied, "f*ck off" or something in the same vein.
A guy in the audience called out, "You look like Andrew G!"
Todd's response, "I heard that, mate!" LOL
This performance was utterly mind blowing! I'm really not sure how to recover lol!
Toby once again leapt amid the mass hysteria of fans and was immediately enveloped.
The power emanating from the audience was thick from wall to wall. I was okay because I was still floating above it.
I loved Tommy Friday night! I've always appreciated bass and this night he was so ON! He was an extension of his instrument. You could almost see the resonant notes bursting from his pores! Ai ai ai he was fantastic!
Dale left me gobsmacked! I got to see him perform for longer than he did at Bourke St and I'll be forever thankful! Wow, magnificent!
Eddie was as always a fireburst of energy. How good is this young bloke? How more awesome is he gonna be in a few years? He outshines so many other drummers! Raw talent at its best!
As always I'm drawn back to the guy that leads this dynamic, blistering, extraordinary pack of rockers!
He's the real deal and I praise the powers that be that he was rightfully returned to his mates.
Juke in Sydney blew our minds!
AFTER
After Juke’s performance Kiki, with her contacts, delivers the great news of a signing. Without this information things could have been completely different. I’m in your debt, Kik…to an extent…as long as there’s no pain involved heee.
I tracked down the head of security and checked with her the possibility of handing out merch at the signing table. She immediately came to the party but only the people who happened to be with me at the time, Donna & Kik, a minimum of three were authorised to participate in the merch distribution. I’m sorry so many of you didn’t get the chance to stand with the guys but it was out of my hands. The security was so controlled that we had to abide by their conditions.
The whole venue had to be cleared and we three waited in the foyer with security for Juke to arrive at the signing table. They walked in and saw us straight away and came and gave us big hugs, one, for being there to help and two, for travelling all the way from Vic to be there.
Onto the signing. We were placed on Todd’s left and we promptly realised Todd could talk the hind leg off a donkey lol! What a gorgeous bloke!
He was so full of praise for us! You US street teamers would know exactly what I speak of.
However we did have to redirect his attention at times. He asked for big group hugs and we complied…sorry Tina ;) Then he asked that we all give him big kisses on the cheek….sorry again Tina :-*
Ok so the signing finishes and people are sent home, doors locked.
Toby stood and gave me a big hug again as thanks, as did Todd and Tommy.
I got only a few pics, you’ve probably already seen my Toby one on my myspace. I love it! The pics I did get are great!
I have to finish watermarking them so I’ll get them up first thing tomorrow…your evening I think.
Anyway the boys had to go, they were in a rush, yet they still hung for a minute for final photos. Toby’s brothers Simon and Tim were also there as was Glenn/Tobesmate. They are all so strikingly warm and friendly! And soooo funny!
We said our goodbyes and went our separate ways *sigh*
And so ends my account.
Here is a pic of Toby & myself that Adelle took
Okay these live shots are a bit better cos I was in the pit.
The spot I was at it was really hard to get a good shot of Dale and Eddie and they were so awesome on the night too!
Here's Tommy.
The last of my live shots but they're the best.
Okay this was the signing after everyone had left. We were lucky enough to have a few, fleeting moments with the guys.
This one Toby posed for me. He swayed side to side all cool like and pointed his finger. I said, "You look like Elvis!"
He replied, "I am Elvis!"
Oh and this is the last...just a little insignificant one I had left over! :P
Squuueeee!!
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k309/ladyevs/melb1.jpg
Oh woops! I forgot to post this. An enlarged shot of the Elvis pic cos it's so nice!
great photo..only if that guys head wasnt there!
Well Cheeky Chickens,
It's taken me some time to post on here cause lets face it, I've been walking around with a stupid grin and in a dream-like trance since last Friday!
There's not much I can say about the show that hasn't already been said... it really truly was one of the most energetic, fun and thrilling sets I've ever seen! The hype outside before the show was pretty good, but after the show it was just outta this world! And I half expected Sydney to be waaayy less excited than Melbourne!
Sitting ( and screaming and jumping) up in the nosebleeds we didn't get great photos although being up in the darkness made the boys see our glow bands pretty clearly - we got a special wave or two!
I totally did the girly thing and died a slow and painful death when I finally got to meet Toby - thank god for photos cause I almost can't remember what he looks like hahaha let alone what he was saying!
The best night eva!!! Thanx to all the Sydney (and honorary) STeamers who made it such an experience...
Oh and did I mention I had to temp tatt a boobie!!! ;D
And for Kerry again.
Nice shots, Kerry!
Tims Pics..
Enjoy & thanks again for sharing Tim
and lastly.. thanks again Tim
Hey everyone, these are a few pics I took at the Hordern Pavillion, I was right in the middle at the very front so luckily I got some good shots! All the pics I took from that night are posted on my photobucket here:
The Syd show was kick-ass. My friends and I waited in line since the early afternoon and ran into JK having lunch - they were all sweet enough to stop and say hi and Toby signed stuff and posed for photos. Later on in the afternoon we ran into each other again and he was just as obliging as before. After the show he gave myself and my friends a big hug and Eddie admired our endurace! Not only were they dynamic onstage but the boys are also down-to-earth rockers who give back to the fans.
I even ran into them at the airport as they headed off to QLD - after a big night there we're all still more than happy to chat with a mere fan and pose for a few goup shots. Juke Kartel and everyone associtaed with them should be really proud to be apart of a kick-ass and kind spirited group of musos.
xx
