Ready for reveiws of the awesome way you got to say goodbye to 2009 and hello to 2010!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! WELL IT WILL BE IN 20 MINUTES WHEN THE USA WELCOME IN 2010 :)

We saw the new year in at Riva last night and the opening act just happened to be Juke Kartel what an amazing co-inky-dink :whist:

Actually it was 3 5ths of Juke Kartel (Tommy, Dale and Toby).

It was so much fun and so different to their usual gigs.

Firstly it was daylight and an outside gig and secondly the boys did a ton of covers.

They did so many I cannot remember them all but a few were

Diesel's Cryin Shame
Farnham's Your the Voice
Beatle's Get Back
Bon Jovi's Living on a prayer (woo hoo it made all the Jovi girls squee with delight)
Robbie William's Angels
Sonia Dada's You don't treat me no good no more

There were heaps more but my brain is a little fried. The afternoon started off as a complete makeup melt off with the temp at 39C or 102F then after the boys finished up you could see these massive black storm clouds rolling in and before you could say Juke Kartel rock it broke and we had an excellent mother nature performance. Lightning that lit up the skies and rain drops the size of golf balls but none of that stopped the fun :gigg:

I've been very fortunate to be able to go to as many gigs as I have. The universe definitely aligned for me over the last 12 months and I am forever greatful so being able to share with calls and photos makes me feel like I'm paying that good fortune forward.

I've been trying to remember all the songs played (this is why I borrow set lists or take photos of them lol) I never remember, I get so caught up in my high that it just doesn't imprint on the brain :gigg:

I'm an absolute sucker for an acoustic guitar so these gigs have been AMAZING. We all know the guys are uber talented but seeing them unplugged really is a magically experience :wub: ok enough of my dribble on with the visuals xxx

thats awesome i so wished i was able to go but i had to work new years eve and new years day which new years day was hell so many people came in and we where under staffed which the customers didnt realise and we were trying to get more in but no one wanted to come in.

Awesome pics Fee and wonderful review. I love the photos that you have on fb with all of you soaked but not caring...as I said, dancing in the rain is the best. Glad you girls were able to experience NYE with the boys.

My NYE was spent swimming in the storm...so much fun and Pete marked the New Year by doing a bomb in the pool at the stroke of midnight. lol.

Nice Paris, we were wet too.. we got the storm about 11.30pm at Eildon. The stroke of midnight was spent with 12 adults and 3 kids under a leaking camping gazebo listening to an AM station that didn't even do a countdown. (the only station we could tune into)
But Friday night was worse, our tent started to flood at 3am!

omg i have just woken up, i came to my laptop and found my mom had put a newpaper clipping of tommy and toby in seperate pictures, im very suprised that JK pics made it to Albury well their piture any way.

aprently my mom had a night shift last night and she told me she was cleaning up after an elderly woman when she picked up the newspaper with the clipping in it and she said she never does read the newspaper while at work but last night she did and came across these two pics as she reconises toby and tommy from the wagga gig she went to with me and that was my first time seeing JK to. so she just like tore it out and yea put it on my laptop.

The Beta Records show finally aired in Chicago this afternoon. It was so exciting to see Toby on TV again - I can't believe it's been over 3 years since Rock Star. I saw the video clips that had been posted online, but, there's just something about watching all the boys in hi-def on a 32" TV screen instead of a tiny computer monitor that had me jumping up and down like a giddy teenager!!

So, I have a favor to ask of all you lovely Aussie ladies. Would anyone be willing to pick up a copy of the Acoustic Sessions ep at one of the upcoming gigs for me? I'll happily send $ via paypal in advance!
